summary; agreeing to join vernon spectate an underground boxing match wasn't how you'd expect to spend your friday night. you also didn't expect to see seungcheol, someone you've lost contact with for years, become a part of the ring.

a/n; so… i missed out my upload timing for the past few weeks… i got so busy with going to dance lessons, going to cupsleeve and kpop dance events and job hunting 😵👊🏻 but now that i've calmed myself down, we're back to uploading !!

when you started middle school, coincidentally you attended the same one where seungcheol is a high school senior. it eased your anxiety, but it lingered and seungcheol took notice as he walked beside you. “first day of school anxiety kicking in?” he asked, throwing an arm over your shoulder, “don’t overthink it, alright?

“but-”

“i’m here, pup. but, remember that you need to stand up for yourself too, alright?”

nodding your head, seungcheol smiles as he gives your shoulder a reassuring squeeze, “and if anyone decides to pick on you while i’m not around, just remember what i taught you, okay?”

“okay.”

over the past few months, before the school year started, seungcheol had offered to teach you a few self defence moves, alongside some sparring moves. your parents were worried when they saw you spar with seungcheol, seeing how the older boy had flipped you onto the cushioned mat of the studio. but, the boy assured them he was teaching you all this so that you’re able to defend yourself in the event he isn’t there with you.

“but, won’t she be all bruised up from all this?” your mother asked.

“mom, i’ll be fine,” you reassured her as seungcheol pulled you up onto your feet, “i need to be a big girl!”

as you both reached the gates of the school, seungcheol arm left your shoulder as he shoved both his hands into the pockets of his pants.

“ready for your first day, pup?”

you didn’t like it here.

everyone was staring at you as you sat in your seat, causing your anxiety to spike. or maybe it’s all in your head and it’s just the imaginary audience kicking in. either way, it doesn’t ease the summersaults that were performing in your stomach.

when the school day started and the teacher had you introduce yourself to the class, you can only hope that lunch break arrives sooner so you can go find seungcheol - to which you did as soon as the lunch bell rang.

you ran up the stairs of the other school building, trying your best to ignore the possible stares from the upperclassmen - you just need needed seungcheol right now

when you reached the floor, a few upperclassmen that were standing in the hallway turned to look at you - and you froze.

as the staring continued, you took a few steps back, your fingers fidgeting with the hem of your skirt while tears began to well up in your eyes and your breathing quickened.

maybe it was a bad idea to come to this building. maybe it was a bad idea to look for suengcheol. maybe-

“pup?”

your head shot up, coming face to face with a concerned seungcheol. “pup, what happened?” seungcheol asked, placing a hand on your head, lightly petting it in an attempt to calm you down. you wanted to answer him, tell him what was wrong, tell him that the unfamiliar environment was spiking your anxiety.

but, you couldn’t.

“yo, seungcheol,” another student appeared next to the boy, slinging a hand over his shoulder. “who’s this cutie?”

when the student looked at you, seungcheol heard your breath hitch and at that moment, he only had one objective in mind.

getting you to a quieter and less crowded area.

“sorry, baekho,” seungcheol spoke as he gave the boy an apologetic smile, “i’ll be eating lunch with ___ today.”

he then leads you out of the building, his hand holding yours as he brings you to the track field of the school. sitting you down on one of the bleachers, he tells you he’ll get some food for the both of you and that he’ll be back soon. as you sat on the bleacher, you continued to fidget with the hem of your skirt.

minutes went by and you felt your breathing steady, seungcheol had returned with a bottle of water and two lunchboxes. you both ate in silence, the older boy occasionally gazing over to check up on you. when you set the now empty lunchbox aside, seungcheol lightly rubs your back.

"feeling better, pup?" he asked in a soft voice, "is it still bad? do you want to go home?"

you shook your head. “come on, pup,” he spoke again, “i need you to talk to me. i may be able to know how you feel, but i’m not a mindreader. i can’t figure out what’s going on in that pretty little head of yours.”

“i-it’s… i-i don’t know…” you couldn’t form words. you can’t help but feel pathetic - being so dependent on seungcheol that you can’t go a mere half day in a new environment without his presence beside you.

seungcheol lets out a small hum as he leans on his hands, looking up at the sky, thinking.

a few minutes later, he sat back up straight, his expression telling that he’s got an idea.

the older boy took off his nametag and took your hand, placing it in your palm.

“here, take this. you have a pattern of needing emotional support items.”

you stared at the nametag and looked at him, cocking your head to the side in confusion.

he chuckled at your response, his hand moving to pat your head.

“you depended on your strawberry pillow throughout kindergarten, your unicorn water bottle throughout elementary.”

your face flushed in embarrassment as seungcheol mentioned your unicorn water bottle.

it was a gift your grandparents had gifted you at the start of your elementary school year and you refused to part ways with it until you reached the age where bright, flashy unicorn water bottles don’t really appeal to you anymore. but, it still held a special place in your heart.

“but, won’t you get in trouble for not having a nametag?” you asked him, worried about the disciplinary actions he’d have to face since it was part of the dress code.

seungcheol shrugged, “i keep an extra in my bag, so it’s no problem.”

he then checked the time on his wristwatch.

“come on, pup. i’ll walk you back to the building and meet you at the gates after class, okay?”

“okay.”

as you both walked, you felt butterflies in your stomach from seungcheol’s kind gestures.

“hey, cheollie..?”

“yea?”

“thank you.”

“anything for you, pup.”

it wasn’t unusual for you to be a target of bullying in the school, considering how close you were to seungcheol - it was something a lot of the girls, both lowerclassmen and upperclassmen, did not take a liking to.

it also wasn’t unusual for seungcheol to do his best to protect you.

do his best as in, try to always be there but most of the time he can’t as he might have basketball practice or his friends dragged him away before he was able to head over to where you were.

and unfortunately, today was one of those ‘most of the time’ days.

“just because seungcheol lets you cling onto him, means he’ll want to date you,” the upperclassmen girl spoke as she slams you against the locker, her hand holding a tight grip on your shoulder while your back stings from the harsh impact against the metal object. “who do you even think you are to always show up at our building?”

the other students crowd around you and the upperclassmen, curious and of course, nosy as to what the ‘confrontation’ is all about.

“hey,” she gritted out, pulling and slamming you against the locker once again, a soft whimper escaping your lips, “are you deaf or something? i’m talking to you!”

seungcheol… please… please help me…

an audible slap noise was heard - a burning sensation was felt on your right cheek while the other students gasped.

“i said, i’m talking to you! do you not know how to answer!?”

you don’t remember what exactly happened, but you do remember reaching your limit and fighting back. when you pushed the upperclassman away, glaring at her while telling her to stop picking on you just because she was jealous you were close to seungcheol, she decided to go rougher.

shoving you against the locker once again, she pulled at your hair and her grip was so tight, you could feel a few strands of hair being pulled out.

“say that again,” she hissed, eyes full of anger, “fucking say that one more time…”

"i said stop it!" you cried out, pushing at her to try and get her off you. "it's not my fault i'm close friends with seungcheol! and what makes you think he'll like you when this is how you act!?"

"why you little-"

"get your fucking hands off her!"

you felt the upperclassman get pulled away, a pair of hands coming to cup your face and lift up your head.

your tear filled eyes met seungcheol's that were filled with anger and worry. "___, are you hurt anywhere?" he asked, one hand brushing the strands of hair away from your face.

“s-seungcheol…”

turning around to face the girl, anyone close enough to the front or center, could see the fury on seungcheol’s face. “what the fuck do you think you’re doing, heemin?”

“i-it’s not what it looks like!”

“not what it looks like? are you fucking kidding me!?”

“i don’t like how she’s always with you! is that wrong!?”

“yes! ___ did nothing wrong and yet you’re assaulting her, all because you’ve decided to have this weird claim on me!”

seungcheol felt you grab his blazer, tugging on it a few times - a silent beg for him to stop and get you away from the area.

taking a deep breath to calm himself down, seungcheol spoke up in a deep, calm yet intimidating tone, “if anyone lays a finger, even on one single hair on ___, you all answer to me.” he then grabbed your hand, pulling you away from the crowd. as he lead you away from the area, you quietly called out his name.

“yea?”

“i’m sorry you have to always save me…”

seungcheol stopped in his tracks, frowning as he turns to look at you. “what’s there to be sorry about, ___?”

“aren’t you tired of having to come and defend me from messes like these?”

“___, i care about you. i would rather die than know you’re being bullied, but decided to just sit on it.”

it felt odd to have someone other than your parents care for you. and it doesn’t really help your growing feelings towards the older male in front of you.

seungcheol took a step forward, cupping your face and tilts your head up to meet his eyes.

“look at me, pup. do you trust me?”

sniffling as you nod your head and seungcheol felt his heart sank as he sees your tears escape your eyes. wiping away your tears with his thumb, he gives you a gentle smile.

“then trust me when i say, as long as i’m here, no-one can hurt you.”

you remembered how you met your first and probably only friend in middle school. it was right after summer break when your homeroom teacher announced a new transfer student. however, you weren’t paying attention; just staring out the window, wondering when the school day would be over.

it was during lunch break, as you were about to go find seungcheol that the new transfer student approached you.

“hi!” she greeted cheerfully, glancing at your nametag, “___, right?”

you looked up at her with a blank look, her looking back at you with a bright smile. when you nod your head, she reaches out a hand and introduces herself. “i’m aki, kim aki! i’m your new classmate!”

“nice to meet you, aki.” you responded in a soft voice.

“do you want to have lunch together?”

her question caught you off guard. someone wanted to eat with you?

aki looks at you with a smile on her face, waiting for your answer. too scared to reject her, you nodded your head and her smile widened.

“great!”

cheollie: pup, i got dragged away by baekho

cheollie: something about needing me to be his wingman

puppy: oh...

puppy: well, the new girl asked me to join her for lunch

puppy: so i guess it’s fine?

cheollie: oh?

cheollie: is my puppy finally going to have a new friend?

cheollie: i’m so proud

puppy: wow, you’re dramatic

cheollie: don’t scare her off, okay?

puppy: what is that supposed to mean?

cheollie: pup, have you seen your resting face?

puppy: …

puppy: i hate you

cheollie: take care, alright?

cheollie: i’ll see you at the gates when school is over

puppy: alright

“i heard you’re very close to one of the upperclassmen,” aki said casually as she takes a bite out of her rice ball, not noticing how you tensed up. “what was his name again? choi seungjoo? seungchae?”

“...seungcheol…” you corrected her, your voice quiet, “his name is seungcheol…”

aki notices your tense demeanour and immediately assures you that it’s not what you were thinking. “i’m just curious. i was told by a few people to stay away or that if i were to ‘chase after seungcheol’, you’d be an obstacle i’d have to overcome.” she laughs it off and leans forward a little, lowering her voice a little. “you don��t have to worry, though~ between you and me, i think you and him look cute together.” when aki notices the faint blush that paints your cheeks afterwards, a grin spreads across her lips. “i knew it! don’t worry, i won’t tell~”

instead of feeling uneasy, you felt… comforted by aki’s presence.

maybe having another friend might not be such a bad thing after all.

one thing you’ve come to realise about aki as the friendship blossomed is that she is the complete opposite of you - both of you would be the typical extrovert-introvert duo dynamic. in contrast to you spending your weekends staying at home either reading your books or just surfing the web, aki would be spending her weekends going to the city parts in daegu shopping, cafe-hopping; even busking as revealed during one of her visits to your home, she enjoys singing and occasionally busks with the buskers she befriended.

she also dresses differently where her clothes just showed her personality - colourful, patterns, accessories and different shoes for each outfit. whereas you preferred to dress simple - until one weekend, aki had dragged you out to myeongdong (with seungcheol tagging along since your parents had tasked him to watch over you girls and he had a driving licence to drive the three of you to and from).

seungcheol watched quietly as aki dressed you up during the shopping spree, occasionally complimenting you whenever aki finished and needed a third opinion. by the end of the weekend, you had a whole new wardrobe and an entire collection of makeup which aki would both teach and help you out with.

“um, are you sure that stuff will wash off?” your voice filled with uncertainty as you watch the small tube of glittering liquid she calls an ‘eye glitter’. “babes, i’ve put this on my eyes thousands of time so, trust me when i say this is safe and washes off.” aki assures you as she starts applying it onto your eyelid.

instructing you to keep your eyes closed, she began to use a hand fan to fan at your face to dry the substance. “how are you so good at makeup at thirteen?” you can’t help but ask. in your eyes, aki’s makeup talents was up to par with those makeup artists for models and idols. when you feel the fanning stop, you open your eyes and aki had the biggest grin on her face.

“my mom is a model and my dad is her makeup artist! so everything i know, i learnt from them and a couple of youtube videos!”

“whoa… is that how they met?”

“yeap! mom had a gig in japan, dad was the makeup artist the company hired and it was love at first sight.”

swiping the lipstick applicator across your lips, aki’s grin widens as she grabs a mirror to how you the finished look. you looked at your reflection in awe, amazed by aki’s talents.

“oh! i also got something for you!”

digging through her bag, she pulled out a bracelet with a little black ghost charm, taking your hand and fastening it around your wrist. as you stared at the bracelet, she lifts one of her hands, revealing a similar bracelet but instead of black ghost charm, it was a white ghost charm.

“i was in the city the other day with my parents and saw these matching bracelets! the little ghosts are so cute, and look!” placing her hand next to yours, the ghost charms clink together, as if they’re holding their little ghost hands.

“they stick together! just like the both of us, best friends!”

her statement caught you off-guard.

you had given a thought to your friendship with aki. it was similar to the friendship you had with seungcheol, minus the crush, obviously. you had considered aki to be a close friend of yours, but you hadn’t expected her to call you her best friend. noticing your reaction, aki’s smile faltered a little and that was the first time you’ve seen a hint of sadness in her.

“do you… do you not like it..?” aki asks, her hand slowly pulling away from yours. “i-i’m sorry, i just… i just thought that…”

you immediately shook your head, hands flying to grab hers. “n-no! i do like it!” you rushed out, “i just… i just wasn’t expecting you to get me this… or even call me your best friend…”

aki blinks once.

then twice.

and proceeds to burst out laughing.

“why wouldn’t i?” aki questions, wrapping her arms around you, engulfing you in a tight hug. “sure, i have a few other friends to hang out with. but, neither of them share the same bond you and i share! i could maybe even top your friendship with seungcheol!”

“hey now, don’t go stealing my puppy.”

turning both your attention to the door of your room, you and aki come face to face with seungcheol, his figure leaning against your doorframe.

“your puppy?” aki gives you a teasing smile, noticing the blush on your face when the older male refers to you as his puppy. “i’d like to see you try and take ___ away from me!”

“you’re on, brat.”

CUPSLEEVE EVENT ASSETS ↳ cupsleeve & banner (side a + side b)

cc note: hehe i thought it would be fun to post these here! last week @heelyhoon hosted a cupsleeve event for txt’s fourth anniversary at our favorite self-serve boba shop run by an eleven-year-old! and i got to design the cupsleeve and accompanying banner for the event! as u all may know i love print design and i love doing silly little kpop projects and holding the results in my hands. luckily max ALWAYS has a _____ guy, like for instance. a cupsleeve guy. a banner guy. i think recently an acrylic pc holder guy has been acquired somehow.

anyway, these were the final designs for our event — we also made custom pcs to give away and those turned out SO cute as well :’) to be honest, i went with blue because it’s a color i love, and it allowed me to play on some star themes, because the tubatus are of course my star boys. the taehyun quote on side b of the banner is one of my favorite things he’s ever said, so of course i was going to include it!

as i seem to say every time i get sappy about txt, they make me so proud all the time. they’re really growing into themselves and doing so with grace and humor and a spark of magic that is so evident in all they do. it’s absolutely wild to think that it’s been FOUR whole years. that’s more than halfway through their first contract. what do i even do with that? i remember sitting in my car in 2019, driving max around [town name redacted] as we gave away tickets to a hockey game, telling them about how a new kpop group had just debuted and blasting crown. now, four years, several moves & jobs, a master’s degree and a whole pandemic later, i still get in my car with max and rebekah in tow, and we still blast txt. (and seventeen, and monsta x, and all the other groups we’ve somehow managed to collect.)

the tubatus will always be special a little bit extra to me. i hope (and think!) that this career is still bringing them joy and fulfillment. i hope they continue to love what they do and that they’re as proud of themselves as i am. here’s to the first four years and to all the years we have left ahead. ♡

update: i went to the shinee film event (btw the shinee movie screening got cancelled so we watched the 2013 boys meet u concert) and ngl let’s just say that i’m so glad that i didn’t chicken out. i had such an amazing time, met new shawols, found £5 on the floor, saw my confidence grew so much that i literally danced and ran around listening to replay on the train- it was just such an amazing day- like what-

and the fact that i lowkey never felt more like a kpop fan- i just wanna listen to some kpop music now. this is honestly so amazing to see. i came such a long way from getting cyber bullied online just for being myself to finally having shawol friends who loves me for who i am and i can’t wait for the cupsleeve event 2 weeks time.

Who Would The Lost Boys BTS Bias Be

WARNING: This list is 100000% self indulgent because The Lost Boys and BTS are two of my favorite things so yes join me in this combined hyperfixation

David

Jimin. Naturally he doesn't like admitting that he likes BTS, but he totally loves them. He pretends to be annoyed when Paul blasts them on the boom box, but if anything he is salty when it's Dynamite and he wants to listen to Black Swan or Blood Sweat & Tears. And, yes, Jimin is his bias. David loves himself a flirty pretty man who can have fun, and Jimin is that in spades. May or may not have some (A LOT) of Jimin's photocards hidden in his jacket, and might have eaten someone if they had a photocard David didn't own yet. Pssst he would totally let Jimin top him

Dwayne

J-Hope. Look, Ho-seok is a multi-talented ray of god damn sunshine and Dwayne cannot help but respect the guy and love his vibe. Dwayne definitely watches his dance routines, but is too embarrassed to do them himself. He will cave in though if Laddie asks him too (Laddie loves it when Dwayne dances) and Marko and Paul go apeshit when they catch him. He is really annoyed DDAENG isn't on Spotify, and thinks it's cute that J-Hope is easily startled. Would actually be bashful if he ever somehow met Ho-seok

Paul

Jin. Oh HELL YEAH Paul is all about Mr. Worldwide Handsome. Totally loves Jin's whole attitude, partially because he sees a lot of himself in Jin (both handsome, charismatic, and would totally blow kisses to people around them). Paul absolutely exploits his love and knowledge of BTS to flirt with people on the boardwalk, and once got himself invited back to someone's house so that he could watch Muster live on their computer before he totally ate them, two birds one stone. He also thinks Jin's laugh is cute af and will imitate it A LOT

Marko

Suga. Damn, does Marko dig Suga's dry sense of humor he also finds him kind of adorable okay. Like Paul he sees a lot of himself in Yoongi and respects the hell out of his quiet yet chaotic energy. He also may have not so secretly named one of his pigeons Agust D. He was a little hesitant to get into new music, but when he wound up playing Mic Drop for the sixteenth time in a row he finally admitted that he kind of (hardcore) dug this group. One of his more recent proud moments was blasting Daechwita while taking out a bunch of people on the beach and even mimicking the sword choreography with someone's severed arm

Star

V. Taehyung is baby and Star just adores his whole demeanor. She is practically lulled into a trance by the singer's deep and lovely voice and generally is enamored by his sweetness and his sass. Admittedly it was his infamous vibe checks that made her finally go, "I love him and must protect him." She definitely rushed to the tail end of a cupsleeve event to chat with the other fans and experience the fun frenzy (pssst she loves the earl grey milk teas there too, they're her favorite). She and Laddie love dancing to their music together, and she *almost* vamped out when she heard someone shit talking the group

Michael

Namjoon. Leader of the group? Check. Makes passive aggressive remarks? Check. Is pretty AND assertive? Check check check! Namjoon was pretty much made for our little disaster bisexual. Michael definitely tries to emulate RM's style (he's easily influenced, okay?) and sincerely digs the song "Expensive Girl". Michael also liking BTS at this point is the only thing that has kept Dwayne from randomly punching him (barely)

oneus reacts to you initiating skinship in front of to moons !!

a/n: i started ulting oneus recently and thought to write this to signify it :D it’s a little rushed but i hope you enjoy !!

ravn

the thought of skinship didn’t come as a shock to either of you - it had been 4 months and the pair of you were comfortable enough to initiate it pretty much anywhere which allowed it.

rbw had only recently revealed that youngjo was dating someone, but didn’t let on as to who you were. youngjo had snuck you backstage at one of their fansigns, giggling whenever he made eye contact with you from where you were standing towards the side of the stage.

he then began to find it hard to focus when you decided you were going to act as staff, and walk closer to ‘monitor’ the boys’ interactions with to moons. youngjo stood up to quickly fetch a water bottle and as he turned he came face to face with you, standing there holding a new bottle of water for him. this shocked him a little but amused him more than anything.

then, as if on instinct, you quickly pecked him on the lips. upon pulling away you realised the setting and the amount of people who had just witnessed your interaction. while you pulled away mildly shocked at yourself for your actions, youngjo had that of a smirk lingering on his face. he was amused, and proud at your confidence to initiate skinship in such a place. you quickly pecked him on the lips once more, placed the bottle in his hands and rushed off stage to shelter your identity from anyone who bore witness to your public display of affection. the members wouldn’t let you hear the end of it after the fansign, mimicking kissing sounds wherever they saw fit.

it was no secret that k-fans weren’t as accepting with idols’ relationships as others would be, so there was definitely minor backlash at your actions. but, you didn’t regret it... and neither did youngjo, if anything he was ecstatic to be able to have dates with you in public more wherein you wouldn’t have to be as cautious of cameras or lingering stares.

seoho

seoho had invited you to one of oneus’ concerts, taking precautions to ensure your identity was hidden from any lingering stares. the tickets were some that he snagged for some ‘friends.’ considering the relatively fresh debut that oneus had made, he wasn’t sure of whether rbw would approve of your relationship - so not only was he trying to keep your rendezvous under wraps from the to moons, but also the company and his members.

you knew it was for the best and that seoho only wanted to protect you from the inevitable hate that you were to face, but in all honesty, you didn’t care for the backlash. all you wanted was to be able to freely express your love for seoho with no restraints, but you knew that he wished for no ‘negative’ attention on himself, nor his members.

where an event such as this would only reveal their true fans, you knew that it showcased too much of a risk. you were backstage, waiting for seoho to rush off of stage to quickly prepare for the encore. when he saw you, his smile brightened but then faltered upon realising the setting. where he restrained himself, you did not and leaped up, hugging him tightly out of habit, not noticing the staff that was broadcasting the behind the scenes, live.

seoho was a little flustered, but melted into you instinctively, leaning down to peck your forehead. you gave him a quick kiss on the lips before pushing him to get changed. it was then that you noted what happened, the staff and members looking on at you incredulously. the rumours surfaced, and surprisingly rbw revealed your relationship to the public on the preface that it would ‘bring more popularity’ to oneus as a whole. while the circumstances were not ideal, you were glad to finally be able to express your affection for seoho publicly.

your group and oneus’ schedules almost always lined up, which proved to be difficult in keeping you and gunhak’s relationship under wraps. you would watch his performances with a blinding smile on your face, proud of how well he was doing - and him, you. it even came to the point where when the two of you stood on stage together at music shows fans began to notice the longing stares that you would exchange - or the lingering glances that the pair of you would give one another as you spoke about your performances into the microphone.

this week your group were promoting their newest single whilst oneus were promoting ‘a song written easily,’ on the show. your group had made a debut not long before oneus had, meaning the two of you were pretty close to the other on stage. this was changed when the host, lee jeno of nct, gestured for you to move closer to the front alongside nct dream due to your connections - being from the same company. it was a close call between your group’s new single and nct dream’s single ‘ridin’ but your group evidently ended up winning.

your eyes glimmered with unshed tears as the mic was passed to you for you to give your ment, as you tried to talk your voice failed you and you found yourself crouching to try and prevent the sobs that wished to come out. chenle reached over and rubbed your shoulder to comfort you as you gave your speech about your group’s 5th consecutive win. gunhak watched this interaction with envy, if only he was able to publicly comfort you. however, he was glad that you had such supportive artists at your company.

it was then that your song came on over the speakers, signalling the other artists off of the stage. your group pulled nct dream to stay on stage and you glanced over to see oneus leaving as well. you quickened your speed and grabbed gunhak’s hand, interlacing your fingers and urging oneus to join you on stage. the boys happily obliged, gunhak blushing at the fact that you remained holding his hand. upon noticing this you squished his cheeks together, kissing him and giggling as he leaned into you again after you began to pull away, coercing you into another kiss. let’s just say, both of your fandoms took to social media to freak out about the new relationship - many people shipping it from months prior due to how SuBtLe the pair of you were.

keonhee

you had met keonhee through your brother, where you tagged along during his promotions to help as a makeup artist for his group. your brother, yunho of ateez, was to appear on weekly idol alongside another group - oneus. this is evidently where the relationship between you and keonhee bloomed.

so, when the pair of you started dating it was almost unseen to anyone’s eyes. your job as a makeup artist kept your actions inconspicuous to others, dodging in and out of dressing rooms was not unusual of any idol’s staff so no one ever spared you and keonhee a glance when you snuck into his dressing room to help him get ready. it was also a big help that ateez and oneus’ schedules lined up quite often, meaning that you were alongside keonhee not only at work, but also when the pair of you had dates, or where he’d occasionally sleep over at your apartment with the excuse that he was visiting ‘a friend.’

on this particular day you were helping touch up keonhee’s makeup at a pre-recording. oneus’ staff had basically welcomed you as their own, and yunho grew almost.. jealous at the little time you spent with ateez in favour of oneus. so whilst you touched up keonhee’s makeup, yunho stood by the side of the stage, pouting at how long you were taking as he needed his makeup done too. as if out of habit, you gripped keonhee’s face in your hands and pressed a kiss to his lips after applying too much lip tint. “there!” you exclaimed, “now there’s not an overload of tint.”

keonhee was surprised at your newfound confidence and public display of affection. it was then that your conscious kicked in, you were standing in front of to moons, staff, all of oneus and your brother. keonhee giggled at the look on your face, it was almost as if you were contemplating all of your life’s decisions that led you to that moment. he leaned forward and pecked your lips quickly, then ushered you off of stage and out of the view of the public eye. it was then that he noticed yunho, who was now putting on an act of mock frustration, “you hurt my sibling, i hurt you,” wow.. how cheesy could one be? keonhee froze in his spot before yunho broke out in laughter, patting keonhee’s back and assuring him that it was alright. he then grabbed you by the wrist to drag you away, “we have a lot of talking to do, you idiot.” you looked back at keonhee pleadingly, only met with him blowing you a kiss in return. you waved at him and turned to face the ‘wrath’ of your brother.

hwanwoong

honestly it was more hwanwoong than you initiating skinship in front of to moons. the pair of you had made it a plan to visit one of the cupsleeve events that to moons were hosting at a cafe, decked out in clothes that would look inconspicuous to the public eye. which, in hindsight, those clothes were most definitely eye catching seeing as hwanwoong is an idol and mainly owns high class branded clothes, which you were also wearing due to your habit of stealing his clothes.

whilst the two of you waited in line, you let your eyes drift across the menu and decorations put up by the to moons who organised the event. you decided on your favourite bubble tea and let hwanwoong pick his one out himself. once it came to paying the pair of you bickered about who was paying before you pushed him out of the way and thrust your credit card into the cashier’s hand. while this gained unnecessary attention, many people found it adorable. but, of course a few fans paid more attention to the pair of you after this as you sat down to drink your teas, conversing over the cute cupsleeves and extras.

hwanwoong was sitting across from you, whining adorably at the fact that you wouldn’t let him pay. you just pulled down his facemask and leaned in, kissing him to shut him up. you didn’t think to look around to check for any stares before you kissed him so when you pulled away you blushed a little, letting your head fall to the table with a thump. hwanwoong looked on with adoring eyes, cheeks just as red as yours.

the person hosting the event couldn’t help but come over and tell you how cute she found the pair of you, asking for a quick signature from hwanwoong before she was on her way. the pair of you blushed deeper at her comment, linking your hands together and grabbing your teas to escape from the stares that you were receiving. hwanwoong couldn’t help but giggle at what happened, teasing you as the two of you walked back to his dorm to participate in a movie night with the other members of oneus. “well, that was one way to shut me up,” he’d say, nudging you to the side with his hip. you, upon almost losing your balance, glared at him as he gripped onto your waist to not let you fall. he gave you a cheeky grin and leaned in to peck your lips once more, “cutie!”

you and dongju had only recently started dating on the downlow when he decided to invite you along on one of oneus’ trips for you to get to know his members better. the seven of you piled into a van, dongju and yourself sitting in the backseat together [which keonhee enforced to be ‘free from the pda’ and ‘to see the softie that dongju was’].

hwanwoong whipped out his phone to do a vlive to broadcast to the to moons what was on the books for oneus in the coming days, to tell them the reason for their inactivity recently. unbeknownst to them, yourself and dongju were caught in the shot. no one had noticed this yet so you freely expressed your love for dongju, resting your head on his shoulder and tilting yourself up to peck him on the cheek occasionally to get a reaction out of him.

dongju maintained a straight face despite his flustered body language. you giggled, quite loudly for that matter, and continued doing so, yelling at him that “he was blushing, how cute~,” only for him to push you away, denying any of this. seoho turned to tease dongju alongside you, the three of you being loud enough as to be heard on the livestream.

hwanwoong noticed that you had been visible in the shot at that point, his eyes widening as he tilted the camera another way to ensure your privacy. soon after this he ended the vlive upon viewing the number of comments requesting that he addressed what had happened. leedo, keonhee, ravn and himself all looked at each other with wide eyes before turning off the phone entirely. who cares, their main focus was the trip as of that moment so they were to formally announce dongju’s relationship status after it. the pair of you were made aware of this, alongside seoho, and braced yourselves for the backlash but were faced with mainly positive reactions. hm.. maybe that wasn’t so bad after all.

☁️☕️|| Happy Birthday, Johnny || ☕️☁️

It’s Johnnys birthday in Korea but heck i’m celebrating it basically all week cuz of tomorrow and then the cupsleeve event on saturday. I love this guy endlessly. There’s not one thing that i dislike about him. I’m so happy that he exists. He’s the reason why i stanned NCT in the first place. There are not enough words in the world to show how much i love him and there are no words strong enough in any language to explain his beauty and the depth of my love respect and appreciation for him. I get emotional and cry everytime i think about johnny and his family but they must be so proud of him. His parents made this beautiful boy and he’s grown so big and he’s living his dream, successful and all. He is so loved. So many people are absolutely head over heels for him and everything that he is (including me) i hope one day i’ll get to make him smile 😔✊🏽 having the ability to see him whenever you want is such a privilege. the people who know him are lucky. i hope he continues to find his way and the best path in his life. even though others may actually know him and get to talk to him everyday, i’m grateful to just be able to know of him like this. to see him enjoying life is good enough for me. Happy Birthday Johnny. ☕️☁️

What a day, Hanbinnie!

So I wanted to quickly recap the biggest things that Hanbin’s bday left us, even tho we all know very well. Just to put it nice and orderly somewhere to remember, as it was really a rollercoaster that ended with a bang.

1- The fandom’s worldwide campaign: the fandom was set on making this a special day for Hanbin, one to shower him with all the love and appreciation we know he deserves. So for months, the whole fandom was busy planning and organizing all kinds of things for his day. And we did it! There were tons of cupsleeve events, gatherings, gift and letter collects, ads, fundrising, charity, video greetings projects, multiple hashtags making top trending minutes into the day. The loudness of iKONICs this 22/10 was like nothing else.

2- His family business: both buldak and 5gam recieved iKONICs in their shops, creating mini events where fans could have a meal or spend time tgt and leave their gifts, letters and loving wishes for Hanbin. Buldak has all the gifts and merch signed by Hanbin for their respective owners to retrieve and 5gam decorated the place with balloons and played iKON’s music through the day, then posted on IG thanking konics for visiting and making it a “view-tiful” day (you know, for the newest perfume based on Hanbin’s likes)

3- Obang calling out to his beloved human: the cutest surprise, Obang posting on his IG fancams and pics of Hanbin with the caption “The person I miss”. We know the pup’s IG is managed by Donghyuk’s family, so you draw your own conclusions. But it was adorable. Later he’d be also joined by Bangdaeng, Junhoe’s puppy. She was a bit late, posting the day after, but it’s ok.

4- The fanmeeting crumbs: iKON was to hold a fanmeeting in Japan during Hanbin’s bday, (shitty move from YG) and we were honestly mentally preparing to get nothing from the boys this time because 1st, they don’t owe it to us to go public about this and 2nd because of YG and the negative press. BUT! They still made a move. Bobby kept silent and let Hanbin’s part roll on its own during Killing Me, Jinhwan (and Bobby) shouted “Happy birthday” during BDAY, which they don’t usually do; and then during Rhythm Ta they asked fans to be louder to be heard “all the way to Korea”. Don’t tell me this was unrelated to Hanbin, the kids know what they’re doing.

5- Donghyuk’s sweet IG story: the fanmeeting crumbs were enough for us, and we were already spazzing in glee about it when this kid posted an IG story with a single white flower an no captions. Not missing a beat, detetctkonics did their search and found out it was an Arrow Head, Hanbin’s birthday flower. And not only that, but it also could be interpreted as meaning trust. It was yet another hearthwarming message and the fandom was quick to bask in the happiness, and although sadly the story was later deleted for reasons unknown, Donghyuk made his point clear.

6- The Bobby incident: and then we came to the peak of the day, just as it was about to end and hit 00:00 back in the far east. We were already rolling in our happy gushing when Kim Jiwon, Kimbap extraordinaire, half the B of Double B, typo master of the peninsula, not only posted on his IG, but he did so with a fancam of Hanbin and the caption “Happy birthday, I miss you”.

But hold that hat, he had more. He then went to answer to his IG pal itsbizkitt, who had mixed him up with Hanbin, saying “lol dats my beloved brother (...)”

Soon after we had a piling list of people hitting like on this, from Donghyuk and Yunhyeong, to Jinhwan’s and Junhoe’s sisters, Yunhyeong’s cousin, multiple YG ex staff and current staff, even PSY! And then it was even reposted, by Bobby’s friend captioning “mood” and by iKON’s former stylist, saying it took her back to memories of good people (transaltion interpretations in place).

This broke the fandom in the best possible way, and ikonics were lightning fast to flood Bobby’s post with love and thankfulnes and hearts and crying emojis (because, hey, we miss Hanbin too) and flood twitter with our emotional spamming, even pushing Bobby, Donghyuk and BelovedHanbin into the trending tab.

Of course Bobby’s bold move also atracted backlash, as antis, haters, trolls and the likes were quick to demand of him that he delete the post or to question and pass judgment on his actions. But as of this moment, he seemes to have paid no heed to them as it’s all still there.

There were also numerous articles written on this, and although I think it’s a cheap move from the press to try and use this to draw attention and make a big deal of it outside the fandom (just like they did when Junhoe unfollowed YG), we were pleasantly surprised when we found out that the feedback was in big part positive. Many people seem to understand that this is no one’s business to meddle in. Some even called out on the news sites intentions with the articles, especially those that had been so quick to spread slander or misleading info about Hanbin before, and even praised Bobby’s (and in some articles also Donghyuk’s) straighforwardnes.

Now, I do believe this was a statement. We know very well that Bobby could have done this privately by other means and leave it at that, but he chose to go public and post on IG. Why? For iKONICs? For Hanbin? For himself? For the rest of iKON? To encourgae others? To go against YG and those keeping them quiet? To show the GP and press that he didn’t care? I don’t know. We don’t know. Could be any, all or none of those reasons. Only he knows, but the message was sent, recieved and spread.

So yeah, this was a massive win for both iKONICs and iKON themselves. These kids are friendship goals, and we are immensely proud of them all.

7- An update on Hanbin: From the chinese Hanbin fanclub, a fan that went to buldak asked Hanbin’s uncle about him, and the uncle’s answer was that Hanbin is doing better, his mental health is improving and he is eating and resting well. And if this is not the best news we got this day, I don’t know what else to say.

Things might keep rolling as we speak, but Hanbin’s day was succesfully closed with a pretty red bow and on a bright note. I hope he felt all the love that was sent to him on his day, that’s all we meant.
