Writer meme

Name: I picked my blog name because I like the sound of it...it doesn’t mean anything. Lol.
Fandoms: So, right now, Newtina. Before that, OQ in OUAT, and Mary/Matthew in Downton Abbey (booooo to both of them; are we seeing why I’m glad my newest obsessions are definitely alive in their 90s?). It’s the female lead characters that are probably my biggest obsession (Tina, Regina, Mary), but obviously also into the male characters and the couples. Back in the day, Klaine. I love lots of other things but I am actually drawn to write fanfiction mostly for things with big gaps or that are actually somewhat poorly or unevenly written. Which is a balance, because, see notes above re: asshole writers killing people off for shock value.
Where you post: Tumblr and Archive of our Own. I used to and have on fanfiction.net but apparently that’s not where the cool kids are these days.
Most popular one shot: In this fandom, I think perhaps the very first one I did, After, mostly because lots of people who didn’t get into the fandom long-term were looking for stuff in the few weeks after Crimes of Grindelwald came out. But the one that gets the most ongoing engagement is probably a giver, or Breathe (M-rated stuff gets more views but less reviews/comments etc. which, lol).
My favorite is probably a giver.
Most popular multi chapter: File not found. Well, in this fandom. I wrote one for the previous fandom that was popular, and that’s the only one I’ve written ever.
Fics you were nervous to post: I mean, I’m always nervous, but I still feel like there’s something not right about the most recent chapter of Newt in New York. The flow and characters just feel a little...weird to me in a way I couldn’t seem to fix.
How do you chose your titles: If it’s a prompt, I’m usually lazy and use the prompt. Otherwise, I like to choose a phrase or word that appears in the writing itself and is central to its point. I’m picky and sometimes it takes me a bit to figure one out, although I can rarely be kept from posting something I’ve finished by not loving the title. It’s one of those I-know-the-right-one-when-I-see-it things.
Do you outline: Yes and no. I don’t write super long things very often so I have no real need of plot outlining. I often, however, word vomit on a page all of the ideas that come to me for something, and then actually work them into sentences and paragraphs. So I might have bits and pieces of dialogue and a general sketch of what’s going to happen, and a lot of it might change as I go, but that way I’m working from something and have gotten what I have figured out onto the page.
Completed: Many things, actually, mostly short. I don’t tackle longer fics very often because 1) I hate coming up with plot 2) I am bad at coming up with plot 3) I am bad at writing action 4) It’s the characters that fascinate me anyway, and plot is somehow a time-intensive and frustrating hurdle with which I usually cannot be bothered.
Do you take prompts: People are always welcome to send. I do the ones that strike my fancy when I get a good idea. I find prompts help inspire ideas sometimes the way a landscape might inspire a painter. I write plenty of things that are not prompted, though.
Works in progress: All of the little bits and pieces of prompts.
Coming soon: IDK. It’s a weird and stressful world and I just haven’t been feeling it lately, but more things to come eventually I’m sure. I have the start of a Newt in New York chapter where Tina doesn’t make it to France until after the events at the cemetery, and runs into Newt later, with both of them prickly about the whole why-did-you-stop-writing thing.
