anyhoo. here’s alts to google docs bc ill be damned if richy rich people with ai take writers ideas and use it as their own

- OfficeSuite is pretty cool. Its what im currently using and you dont have to pay for anything unless you want some add-on. It’s basically microsoft word but you dont have to pay anything

- Word docs is... ok, in my experience. I used it in my ye olde days when I began writing fanfiction. However, you gotta pay to download and I’m too cheap to spend a dime to write two dudes kissing :/

- Scriviner: I never used this software, and it’s not free. However, I heard a bunch of positive reviews and their format looks nice so do with that information as you will

- Reedsy: accessible everywhere, free, and can export to paperback. I use it to quadruple and quintuple backup my works :)))

- LibreOffice: free and basically like microsoft word. Never used it before, but the reviews sound good

I think jobs should have Games/PE sessions like we did at school. Like once or twice a week, for a few hours one or two afternoons/mornings a week, we stop working and run around, play hockey or rugby or tennis or something. We get outside, we keep fit, we see the sunshine, and the week becomes less monotonous.

Because I want to keep fit, I want to do exercise to improve my fitness and my mental health and the way I look... but it's so difficult when it's not included in your day. By the time I've woken up by 7, showered, got dressed, commuted an hour into work, been there for 8 hours, and had an hour commute back, it's difficult to get yourself out and changed for a run or a swim or whatever, especially when it's cold and dark. But if there was time in the day for it... and I was being made to (because I'm lazy by nature) I think that would be good.

Yes I was happier and healthier as a child.. why do you ask?

I find it so sad that big corporations in an entirely different country are ruining a media and it's community that I have admired for a long time before I even got to join it. DnD looked and seemed so fun, I enjoyed fantasizing about playing games with friends and family, then this shit show happened and now I might never get to do so. I know there are many alternatives, but I wanted to be part of a very expansive universe and maybe even build upon it myself. Unfortunately CoRpOrAtE aMeRiCa just has to be itself once more. Sometimes I hate your country.

So we all know that that there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, and to a certain extent, we have to acknowledge that our way of life is dependent on the suffering of others. Fortunately, it seems there are people who are pushing against that. If you're in the market for a new phone, I urge you to check out the Fairphone 4. I know the world is becoming more and more aware of the horrific conditions being suffered by people in places like DRC to make our smart devices. You can use your buying power to make a change.

I am personally not in the market for a new phone just yet, but if you are looking to get a new phone, I encourage you to look into ethically sourced phones and other tech. If you already have a Fairphone, please reblog this and talk about your experience. Be honest. Give the pros and cons so people can make informed decisions. We can't immediately stop all of the horrors that capitalism has brought on the world, but we have the power to make smaller choices where we can to mitigate the harm done.
