You and Asahi had been friends for as long as you can remember
You have known every single detail about Asahi, how he was interested in fashion, how he loved to sing especially in front of you, how he gets insecure from his play and always wants to improve for his team you knew way more than his friends knew about him all except his feelings for you
And it was the same way around Asahi knew every single detail about you, your habits, your hobbies, your future plans he knew everything except your feelings for him
One of your favorite things to do is to hang out together in the roof of your house or his you'd lay next to each other and watch the sky that's above you
You use this time to talk about literally any thing and nothing at the same time
It didn't matter if you were talking or not because just being together was good for you two
You'd always prefer to go to Asahi's because he'd get his guitar and sing for you
Asahi had a guitar for a very long time it was a hobby of his but never thought of it as something more than that and to him it was a relaxing thing to do just like doodling
Today has been a little exhausting day for you so Asahi had invited you to his place
"Hey Asahi"
"Hey y/n glad you could make it"
"It was a shitty day not gonna lie but I know you'll make it better for me"
"Of course how about you go to the roof and I'll grab the guitar and come after you"
"Yay mini concert" you said running to the roof making Asahi giggle
You went up and saw that Asahi had put a blanket on where you'd lay a long with some snacks and it made a smile grow on your face
You always appreciated what he did to you and that was one of the reasons why you loved him
Trying to ignore the butterflies that went loose in your stomach you lay down taking a deep breath and letting out a sigh while closing your eyes
"Wow it must have been a really bad day" you opened your eyes to the sudden voice and you were met with Asahi's worried expression as he lay next to you his face few inches away from yours and you could feel the heat of his breath sending shivers all over your body
You felt your cheeks heating up from how close Asahi was
"I..umm yeah a little you know school and friends and life" you giggled trying to hide how nervous you were and the fact that you stuttered and you never do that
Asahi got up immediately with one quick movement grabbing the guitar that was next to him
"I learned a new song and I want you to listen carefully" his cheeks were turning pink which was a little odd he's never embarrassed to sing in front of you so that made you sit up facing him
You nodded to Asahi's statement so he cleared his throat and started hitting the strings with his fingers
Asahi had his eyes on the guitar while the blush took over his ears and neck now
I always thought
I might be bad
Now I am sure that it's true
He then looked up and locked eyes with you and in this second you felt that the world stopped turning you melted in Asahi's eyes
His eyes were so different than any time he looked at you
And you felt the air in your body not getting out of your lungs
And his smile was enough to make the blush spread all over your ears and neck
Cause I think you're so good
And I am nothing like you
Asahi giggled in between the lines which made you smile wider
Heart beating so fast you thought it would pop out of your ribcage
Look at you go I just adore you
I wish that you knew
That I've always liked you
Asahi put the guitar on his lap looked at it for a while before he looked up again to meet your eyes that were now filled with happy tears as to your face who had traces of tears
You didn't know when you started to cry but you were now and you can't stop
Asahi made you the happiest person alive after having the worst day ever
"y..y/n"
you threw your arms around Asahi's neck surprising him at first but then he quickly wrapped his arms around you with a wide smile that you couldn't see
"I have always liked you too Asahi" you whispered in his ear so he wrapped his arms tighter around you resting his head in the crook of your neck while you enjoyed the warmth of his breath

got treasures in my mind but couldn’t open up my own vault
Tododeku day 2: beach.
Shouto liked the sand more when he wasn’t eating it.
The sounds of the fight still resounded in his ears, but it was muffed, like he was underwater. He groaned, pushing himself up from the itchy substance and blinked, the grenade still ringing in his ears.
Honestly, they knew that the Villain Alliance, or the VA as Kirshima dubbed it because it was too long to say the full name, was landing a trap as soon as they got the message, but Kirishima was firm in going for it, and if there was anything the Rangers knew, is that they’d follow their leader anywhere. It’s just what they do.
“Eat shit, losers!” He could hear the Black Ranger, Bakugo, yell with Shouto was sure was a psychotic grin, and another explosion was soon heard. He groaned lightly, stumbling to his feet as he pulled out his sword, it apparating with a light snowfall. He started to run towards the explosion, knowing that wherever Bakugo is, the fight was.
“Todoroki!”
Todoroki turned to see Green Ranger, Midoriya, running towards him. His face was sweaty, a cut running down his face, and his helmet was off, exposing his green curls and his freckles. He looked exhausted, but determined. Todoroki flushed, because even so he still looked gorgeous as ever.
Now’s not the time to think about this, he thought to himself, shaking his head. He motioned to Midoriya, his helmet still on.
“What’s the situation?” Midoriya asked Todoroki once he caught up to him. He put his helmet back on, his brass knuckles glinting as they formed, vines curling around his fingers. Todoroki shrugged, motioning to the mass explosion.
“Same old, same old. Bakugo blew shit up. Uraraka is watching from the outskirts, trying to see how powerful their defense is,” he told the green ranger, sighing softly. “The others told me where they were, but I can’t find them.”
Midoriya nodded, sighing deeply. “Why does no one formulate a plan around here? Is that so hard to do?”
“We have one of the most headstrong people as our leader, and his boyfriend is as bad as he is,” Shouto explained with a deadpan tone, straightening his shoulders, getting ready for battle. “So that’s where the rest of us come in.”
They ran into the smoke, guarding themselves for what’s next.
-
Midoriya sidestepped a villain, punching his lights out before resuming. This wasn’t his first rodeo, nor will it be his last. He glanced over at Todoroki, sighing internally as he realized that he was faring his own. Not that he doubted the boy, but Todoroki thought with his heart as well as his mind, and the wrong thing could set him off. It was a small idiosyncrasy that made Midoriya’s own heart skip a beat; not that he would admit it. Being a Ranger took up most of his time, so relationships were never a thought in his mind. Not that anyone would date him.
He focused on himself, punching random villains and moving with such quickness, he looked like the wind. Bakugo was causing a disaster in the middle of it all, and he could see a flash of red as Kirishima battled with him, black and red forming like a bullet. They had always been powerful, and this was no exception. Blue Ranger, Iida, was causing tornadoes around the villains, the bow and arrows he was using sticking out of multiple bodies. He definitely left his marks.
Uraraka with her twin knives were killing it, quite literally, slicing through pressure points like a pro, a silent and deadly animal in the night. Midoriya smiled as he saw his friends fighting, because this all they’ve wanted to do since they were young. That was really the thing that brought them together - fighting for their freedom, and wanting to save others. The six teenagers had nothing in common before they met Toshinori, who gave them the power in the first place. The only people who knew each other were Bakugo and Midoriya, and their history was bumpy.
Luckily, they too, have grown with this experience.
“Midoriya!” A small voice called, and Midoriya ducked, as electricity was shot where he just was. He smiled gratefully at Tsuyu, who had warned him before he got hit by the villains.
“Thanks Tsuyu!” he called, hoping the relief in his voice gave out how he felt - you couldn’t really tell in the helmets.
“Hey guys, the boss is here,” Kirishima said, motioning to a looming figure. Midoriya gulped, looking up at it in awe. It was about 50 meters tall, and it reminded Midoriya of a dinosaur, swishing his tail back and forth. Its eyes were red and smoke billowed out of his mouth like an e - cigarette.
“That’s a big one,” Midoriya said, laughing nervously. Shouto glanced at him and brushed his hand against his. Midoriya was grateful for the touch.
“So? That just means we have to beat it down even more!” Bakugo said, and Midoriya knew he was grinning behind that helmet. Iida choked, waving his hands around.
“That’s not the way we go into things! We need a plan!” He exclaimed, and Midoriya agreed.
“Fuck the plan! It’ll figure it out anyway.”
“Bakugo, now’s not the time to be a dumbass,” Uraraka said bluntly.
“First, I think we should all calm down,” Tsuyu said, mature as always.
“I agree with Tsuyu and with Iida. We actually do need a plan on this one, so we need to calm down and put our heads together,” Kirishima said. He turned to Midoriya. “You’re the brains, Midoriya, I’ll give you that. What do you have in mind?”
Midoriya grinned, rubbing his hands together. “I think I have a plan.”
-
All in all, Midoriya’s plan was foolproof, but who was surprised? Todoroki wasn’t. They always seemed to count on the nervous yet determined boy to get them out of a problem. Now that the battle was over, Todoroki walked down the beach, in street clothes now, the shorts and light gray tee he was wearing blowing in the breeze. It felt nice - he almost felt like a normal teenager.
As he was walking, he saw a figure crouched in the sand, doodling. It was Midoriya, of course, muttering quietly in his hoodie and shorts, lost in his own world. Todoroki quietly sat next to him and listened to him, feeling a small feeling bloom in his chest.
“What are you doing?” He finally said, startling Midoriya. The boy blushed, tucking his pencil behind his ear.
“Nothing really. Just writing about the battle today,” he said, staring off into the ocean. Todoroki raised his eyebrows, leaning back on his hands.
“Like how we almost destroyed the entire northern half of the beach? Or how you completely saved our asses because you managed to locate all of its loose joints and made us all hit them at the same time, causing it to combust on itself? Maybe about how-”
“Okay, okay,” Midoriya laughed, nudging Todoroki’s shoulder with his own. “It wasn’t really none of that. It was mainly just my thoughts and how I can get better.” Todoroki cocked his head.
“What could you possibly improve on?”
“A lot of things,” he said without hesitation, glancing at Todoroki. “There's so much work that needs to be done with the team, and we only have so much time to learn what to do with these powers we have.”
“With great power comes great responsibility,” Todoroki recited, recalling a memory of faded paper and the smell of books. “I understand. You know,” Todoroki said, “it's almost as if you’re the Red Ranger.”
Midoriya shook his head rapidly, laughing. “I could never. Kirishima is a better leader than any of us. For one, Bakugo actually follows his orders.” They both laugh at that.
“In all honesty though, I don’t think I could be the Red Ranger,” Midoriya said finally. “I’ll leave that up to him. I’m fine with being in the background. As long as I’m helping people and making sure they’re ok, I don’t care which Ranger I am.”
Todoroki stared at him for a bit before saying softly, “You are truly one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met.” Midoriya flushed, glancing back at Todoroki.
“That’s really nice of you, but I really find you the most amazing person.”
They stared at each other for a bit, hearts pounding. Slowly, Midoriya cocked his head, a soft smile on his face. “What are you thinking?”
Todoroki laughed quietly and said, “Truthfully? About how much I want to kiss you.”
Midoriya felt his heart skip a beat, like all those hours ago at the start of the fight, watching Todoroki spin and take flight, a graceful swan swimming through water.
“What’s stopping you then?” He whispered, leaning in close to Todoroki.
The kiss they shared reminded Midoriya of victories and the feeling of home.
