Un tempo sarebbe stato facile amarmi.

Ero dolce.

Credevo nelle promesse, nelle parole.

Giustificavo tutto, anche il male che sentivo e non ammettevo.

Mi prendevo la colpa, anche se non la capivo.

Pur di non perdere chi amavo, sopportavo ogni mancanza, anche quando mancavo io e non sapevo più ritrovarmi.

Abbracciavo senza chiedere nulla in cambio.

Ero indifesa.

Da proteggere.

Da distruggere.

Oggi è difficile amarmi, restarmi accanto.

Rispettare i miei spazi, comprendere i miei silenzi, la mia indipendenza, il mio bisogno di vivere e di costruire usando solo le mie forze.

Io che del mio equilibrio cercato, sofferto e trovato ne faccio un vanto da gridare al presente ogni giorno.

Io che credo nell’Amore molto più di ieri.

Cross Section. Taken on the road down into Wensleydale from Buttertubs Pass. Noticed this rectangular walled section of trees on the hillside. It intrigued me and I took a few shots trying to capture in context of the foreground and background.
