Touya's perspective (Ch 287-290)
There were so many POV switches and huge gaps between the short chapters, so I think people don't realize that this is a continuous sequence that takes place in a matter of maybe 1-2 minutes.
It's about Touya regressing into a childlike state where he gets everything his 13-year old self wanted only to realize how simple it all could have been, that the potential was there in the family to be happy.
Touya shouldn't have had to turn into Dabi, burn himself and the world to get this, but also maybe the "reward" was not as fulfilling as he imagined it to be - and there is "sizzl" written by his eyes - as if tears were evaporating.
And the rage bursts out, makes him crack, and as Shouto appears to clash with him again and you can literally see Touya's pupils coming back. Making him finally look at Shouto not as some masterpiece monster creation of their father who only exists to take everything from Touya, but as a desperate, crying little boy who is not that different from Touya. His brother - who also wants their family be together.
Touya seeing Shouto that way also makes him realize that there are things he still wants to say.
So when the words come stumbling out, it's all his unprocessed hurt and anger and rage, but he's not burning himself or the world anymore. And on the last panel, the melting ice looks like streaks of tears.
It looks angry and hateful, but they are communicating and letting out feelings and that's an essential part of processing grief.

If there is something in bnha that'll always keep on giving, its the "parent figure" love.
It's the way how Inko recognized she was wrong in not believing in Izuku's dreams, but also told All Might no to his face because she was allowing her child to stay on a place that took his safety for granted. How she is always there for him.
It's Nao Shimura not being even a little terrified for herself as she ran to Tenko, just minutes after giving an ultimatum to his husband. It's her face sick with worry, even as her body fell apart, even as she died, eyes always on her little boy.
It's Aizawa Shouta cutting his own leg midair in the heat of the battle, because he couldn't afford to lose, not for himself but for Eri and Class A-1. It's the way he won't stand aside as they destroy themselves for the hero society, how he won't shy away from the responsibility.
It's Rei Himura trying her best to protect her kids on an abusive household, trying her best to get better (mentally), to make up for her mistakes. 'Cause even if she was broken, the minute things got ugly, she got there. There to support them, her kids, to take responsibility, to tell Enji to man up and get his shit together, now she's risking her life to reach Touya, a woman of her word.
It is quirkless Toshinori Yagi facing AFO because he firmly believes in what Izuku taught him at the beginning of the manga. It is Iida Tensei guiding his brother to become a real hero in a world full of anger. Nana Shimura making time for All Might to escape. David Shield supporting Melissa's desire to make an impact on the pro-hero world even if she's quirkless. NightEye dying to support Mirio and Izuku. Kurogiri breaking free because he is Tomura Shigaraki's protector. Rock Lock angry about how the kids of Class 1-A were risking their lives in the Overhaul arc. And many more.
Any chapter showing how far a parent would go for their children is a good chapter.

Chapter 388 - Touya .... This chapter is literally fire
The chapter begins with Kendo immobilizing the AFO spies with her hands and informing the other heroes that they have messed with the system, so the shelters will not move again. The heroes then start evacuating all civilians back to the surface
The U.A. robots are there too and are ready to take people to other safe spaces, all they have to do is give them an order. The heroes instruct the civilians not to look the other way to avoid seeing Dabi's giant heat sphere, but the Todorokis ignore that warning
Tumblr media
Rei makes a worried expression and immediately gets in one of the bike-shaped robots, asking Natsuo to protect his sister. She then asks the robot to take her to the source of that heat, the robot says that he's there to follow the human's orders and the flashback ends
Tumblr media
Back to the present, the robot has been totally destroyed by the heat and "died" doing a thumbs-up. Rei screams "TOYA" as her face continues to burn. Endeavor wonders if she's keeping herself alive by using her ice on herself and plans to do the same thing with Toya
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Endeavor tells her to back off because she will burn to death, but she responds by saying that the same goes to them. Dabi starts mumbling "moooom" and Rei apologizes to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next he says "Natsu-kun, Fuyumi-chan..." and Rei realizes that the two of them have come too. She says they shouldn't be there, but Fuyumi says she doesn't want to lose anyone else. Natsuo remembers when he used to ignore Toya's complaints, imagines himself properly talking to him as a kid, and yells "stop causing so much trouble, stupid brother!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Endeavor thinks to himself that if he uses more fire to propel them upwards, Toya's body will reach its limit. He asks "please, don't take them too..." and we see a vision of all of them in a what-if future, with a grown-up Toya wearing Dabi's jacket. End of chapter

Isn't it weird that Dabi is literally burning to death in front of their eyes and the Todorokis are still talking about how it's causing problems for other people? Like? Priorities? Also wasn't that the whole root of the issue back when Toya was a child and all he did was complain about his father mistreating him they considered THAT to be him causing problems for other people?
Oh totally. I swear, everyone has villain tunnel vision this arc; focused more on if someone’s causing a bother than addressing any root issues.
And with Dabi specifically, no one wants to talk about his feelings; and if they bring up his health it's never the first thing they say to him no matter how obvious his damage is. Shoto says their childhoods & dad may have sucked but he's still bad for being a villain, Enji said one thing to Touya he could comprehend before the brain damage set-in and it was to ask about Shoto's well-being, and now we see Natsuo telling him to stop being a villain while watching him burn to death. Like I don't want to throw too much shade at his siblings but this prioritization of everything but his feelings & welfare is just Touya's childhood all over again.
