What Is Gained, What Is Lost (What Truly Matters)

He never wanted to be here, or to see this. He just- he just wanted to be able to help. And, yes, he knew that things might be horrible, might be nasty, might be ugly, but he lives with discrimination every single day.
He knows what it is to have bloody knuckles and a bloody nose and blood buried beneath his nails because he kicked and scratched and still couldn't get free.
No single part of Izuku was prepared for this. For the agony and the blood and the terror, for that woman with the wide eyes and the torn clothes, and the man who turned around and, when Izuku jumped back, when he tried to dodge, it wasn't quite enough.
(Wherein, at twelve, Izuku has been intervening in fights and muggings and more, but he is only twelve. He's only a child.
He is rescued by Eraserhead, one day, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't get hurt. It doesn't mean that his life isn't changed.
But maybe his life can change for the better, even with the bad parts.)

Some headcanon to my sugusato husband (and Geto teacher) au
Despite appearances, Gojo is the one who usually gets up earlier and wakes the other one up. This is because Gojo is awake most of the night. He usually listens to Geto's heartbeat.
Geto makes breakfast because Gojo doesn't want to cook.
Geto drives a car, Gojo has never been interested in learning it.
At the school, Geto is known for his tough workouts. No one actually knows what Gojo teaches.
Geto always wins in hand-to-hand combat. Gojo is able to win against him when he uses the secret puppy eye technique, but he is unaware that it works.
Geto asks Ijichji to keep an eye on whether Gojo is eating out.
Ijichi and Shoko have a spare key to the sugusato house in case of emergencies.
Ijichi often uses it to clean up in their apartment.
Gojo buys him lunch in thanks.
They eat their lunches separately.
After dinner, depending on fatigue, they either complete reports or watch movies.
Both are equally jealous of each other. Geto is the one who would "gouge out the eyes of anyone who looks at Satoru".
Geto is obsessed with Gojo's ass.
Geto is the hornier one in the relationship. Gojo , "is interested in sex if it has to do with Suguru".

Izuku's shadow leaps and twists, a dozen reaching hands and curls of hair.
He cuts quite an impressive figure, albeit in a slightly terrifying sort of way, as the darkness throbs and grows around him, all ivy and thorns except abyssal, reaching, tearing at the very air. (All the class can smell is ozone and the damp misery of forgotten corners-)
(Another one of my lil shadow starter-sentence fics, this one a bit darker than the others but I love it an awful lot - enjoy!!)

Twice/Hawks Anon: I know you haven’t posted an ask game, but who are your top 5 manga artists?
Katsura Hoshino : Watching her art evolve while reading d gray man is so pleasing to watch and her current art style is fucking gorgeous *o* (tho I do lowkey miss her style from chaps 180~ to 215~)
2) Tite Kubo : Personal fav of mine. While Kubo does suffer from "same face" syndrome when it comes to the adult male characters, his art style is very pleasing to look at. Which is why im so happy the new anime season looks so faithful to his style, often times animes have to rework the character designs to fit animation better (just look at the difference between the designs in the jjk manga and anime) so I'm really happy studio pierrot managed to stay faithful to Kubo's art.
3) Kohei Horikoshi : Need I say more? His art throughout bnha has been so versatile (ex: Shigaraki's face at the mall, his use of panel composition, ect) and similarly to Hoshino, watching his style evolve through the years has been so satisfying. (tbh his art is part of the reason i started reading the manga)
4) Gege Akutami : His art style isn't as "neat" as the other ones on this list but I really like it. Idk how to describe it but his art is "raw" and it makes certain moments hit harder. Like, personally I prefer Gege's art over MAPPA's style. MAPPA's art is undeniably beautiful but I feel that a part of what made Gege's art so unique go lost in the anime adaptation. also controversial opinion but gojo looks better in the manga :P and im scared abt what MAPPA is gonna do to toji ;w;
5) Yusuke Murata : If you've read the One Punch Man manga you know exactly what I mean.
Honorable mention to Hiro Mashima cuz one thing most people can agree on abt him is that his art is beautiful. Say what you will abt Mashima (and believe me there is a Lot to say abt him) but it's genuinely impressive how he managed to deliver such beautiful and detailed art on a weekly basis (especially knowing how harsh working conditions for mangaka are).
And another honorable mention to Yamato Yamamoto cuz Damn they've been single-handedly carrying Owari no Seraph on their shoulders.

Finished watching Redline (2009) today after seeing glimpses of it on the internet over the past years and the animation really is something to behold at least once in your life. I really like how it pushes you think 'this is crazy' while the next scene comes in all 'hah think again >:D' which exceedingly crushes your previous expectations of how things are going to go. 10/10, the top number 1 racing anime in my opinion.

Bnha 215
You know, just because Shinsou lost doesn’t mean he still can’t be a potential candidate for the hero course. If you remember, his team did win the first fight, so I don’t know what all this new profound anger is.
No offense, but did anyone really expect Shinsou to win? He’s been training for the hero course for maybe.... 4 months? Or less?
Izuku is naturally stronger, he has better moves, and he has EXPERIENCE, of course he’d win.
And he didn’t even really need to use his quirk so I don’t understand why this is coming off as such a shock to everyone.
and now that he can’t just use his new quirks on a whim, we can rest easy knowing that he won’t be as op as some of y’all think he’ll be, even though stuff like this happens in almost every shounen manga, seriously, why is his 7 quirks stirring up so much anger?
Anyway,
I do feel bad for Shinsou here, from his perspective it seems like Izuku and Uraraka faked everything that happened to get him to lower his guard, so it looked like they cheated...even though there’s technically no rule against that...
And Izuku felt guilty so his mind got all messed up, and it deactivated his quirk. I’d feel pretty guilty about it too tbh, I hope Izuku clears things up with Shinsou afterwards.
And best of all....
Uraraka being badass
Uraraka reading the enemy’s moves. She obviously knew Monoma was trying to get her to lower her guard by babbling on and on and trying to trick her into thinking that he could probably use more than one quirk at a time, even though what he said was probably not a lie.
AND SHE TOOK THREE PEOPLE DOWN?? LIKE??? THIS GIRL IS THE TRUE MVP!!!
