Block and divest from celebrities and influencers -the one's who make millions/billions and continue to remain willfully ignorant and silent about genocide. This newest 'strategy,' for folks who have the time to do so online -please do.

They don't care about you, all you should know is that you control their money and their lives too so don't stop even if you were the last person doing it.

"but Haleyybaylee said she didn't know a genocide was happening for the past 7 months* 🥺"
so you agree, influencers are out of touch and should get a big reality check
Tumblr media
*IT DIDNT START 7 MONTHS AGO BUT IT STAETED GETTING MORE SOCIAL MEDIA EXPOSURE WORLDWIDE SINCE THEN , IT'S UNACCEPTABLE TO NOT BE INFORMED ABOUT IT

people saying that blocking celebrities just means you're bitter abt them having money like... no ? it's not about people making money. it's about them not using their extensive resources to help people with none. then they wanna say it's an extension of cancel culture but again... no ? nobody is saying to outright cancel them but to understand that your attention can be put in a different place. these people have had so long to speak up and try to help the people of Palestine or Sudan or the Congo and they chose to put their time and effort into other things. now we will put our time and effort into other things !
and they will continue to be blocked by me even after they start raising awareness bc 1. ik their cult followers will stick w them no matter what anyone says or what they do so they'll always have some type of platform. 2. it gives me the ick that they only want to speak up when people start ignoring them like they ignored the genocide for so long.

Pro-Palestine social media boycott information below 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
(I mostly post about social justice on my other account but if you follow me and are anti-Palestine you can take this as your cue to unfollow me, block me, whichever)
I don’t know if this is old news by now since I live under a rock and am rarely on Instagram which is where I heard about this but I wanted to spread the word as I had only heard about it today
People are boycotting celebrities on social media who haven’t been speaking up for Palestine by blocking them on Instagram, Tiktok, etc so they lose their ad revenue
Wizard bisan reposted the lists on Instagram earlier from landpalestine who is liveblogging the boycott and is keeping the blocklist live in their story
In the first 48 hours of the boycott the Kardashians lost over 3 million followers, but you can participate even if you don’t follow any of the celebrities on the list
People are posting about the boycott under #blockcelebrities
If you didn’t know about this you can look up and share the blocklists, post about it, share the hashtag, and/or block celebrities left and right on whatever social media you use
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free

Someone made an extensive google spreadsheet I've attached below (bless their hearts my gosh) -also don't forget to block Charlie Puth too and any other artist or actor you can think of. 'Influencers' are also NOT excluded from this. If I find a list with them I will post it but this includes every single one of them with a platform who have been silent. That includes the "let them eat cake" Haley Baylee who gushed about having 10 million followers after attending the Met Gala -all while Rafah was being bombed.
Also, on contrary to what was said above -I'm well past the point of caring about the feelings of celebrities and influencers. They should be publicly shamed because their priorities and moral compasses are broken -clearly. The ones who have spoken up, especially over the past 9 months, are the one's who deserve to be supported.
Also, I'd like this blockout to continue. This isn't something that happens for a week and then goes away if 'they do talk,' (Lizzo is the most recent example I can give when she said celebrities have no power then pulled a Rock and Oprah moment by asking her fans to help send funds to someone in Gaza instead of donating herself which she could very well have done -major side eye).
Tumblr media
I also recently posted about another strategy -cart abandonment you can view here:
We have the power folks, and if you haven't already done so please mass block them on all platforms. I already started doing more the other night and will commence.

Blocking out celebrities is great and replacing it with content of whom are in Gaza is best.
The innocent live of Gaza should be acknowledged and remembered. They should be witnessed as they are here and not only when they are gone.
They are someONE and not someBODY. Boosting their content means more for them and will do more for them then any celebrity could ever appreciate.

look, it is great that these celebrities with big platforms, reach, and influence are speaking up, but
i want y'all to remember that they are only speaking out about Palestine because their pockets are being affected.
celebrities have had 8 months to say something. to post something. don't unblock them, don't re-follow.
this support is performative, their support is only coming out now because they are losing money, brand deals, etc etc.
it took millions of people blocking, and unfollowing them for them to do something. not the photos and videos of dead children, destroyed homes, not the coverage from journalists risking their lives, or videos Palestinians have posted documenting these horrors. none of that moved them to action.
do not forget that these people turned a blind eye towards genocide until they started to lose money and followers.

ive been getting e sims for gaza but when i get an email notification saying ‘you have 10% more data remaining’ my heart just gets so TIGHT bcs i just know someones running out of time to speaking w their family and i just feel so consumed by the feeling that i cant do more than what im doing now and i cant keep donating large sums + topping up the sims and all i can do it drop abt 10-15 bucks a week whereas those rich celebrities sitting on their asses rn could easily donate more than a thousand dollars and its so sickening that they can do sm more than i can, yet they choose to remain silent. its so frustrating

Hi. The account that made the spreadsheet for the blackout is private. Is there a direct link for the spreadsheet or another such list perhaps?
I'm hoping they're okay. I can imagine the post gaining traction and maybe some people were mass reporting? Absolutely awful. I took screenshots, but when I refreshed the google doc on my computer (since I kept it up), it seemed to be working so here is the link:
if it doesn't pop up on your end, here are the screenshots below (unfortunately without the links, but the celebrity names are there):
