Do you know why I still have such a rage over the UK's 2019 election?
It's because so much of the supposedly left-wing poor "working class" North (among others) just threw aside decades of anti-Toryism to vote for the Tories or the Brexit Party (very openly just more Tories) because of Brexit.
These god damned mindless f*cking people just threw away the only chance in years for responsible, beneficial left-wing government because of Brexit and the racist xenophobic scapegoating that goes along with it. People who should have known better just swallowed a mountain of lies because it's easier to blame people who don't look like you, than the (mostly) white wealthy parasites that are bleeding people dry.
I'm tired of it all.
I'm tired of trying to excuse people for their mindless hate.
Racism and anti-lgbtq actions are greatly rising, and it sickens me that there are poor people both white and not, both straight or LGBTQ who've helped enable this because of comfortable ignorance and despicable greed.
31-year-old Johanita Dogbey was murdered in broad daylight, in a park in Brixton, while talking to her grandmother over the phone. A stranger attacked her and stabbed her from behind.
We are a truly broken nation - a nation where a woman can't even go shopping and walk through a park without being murdered for it. Justice for Johanita.
It's voting day here in Brazil. Right now it's 16:05, people can only vote until 17:00.
And all day the police has been stopping people from the northeast from voting. Buses that were supposed to be free aren't coming. People can't go vote. Most of the affected are black, brown and indigenous
The northeast holds a large percentage of left wing voters. We had been counting on them to carry us through this election.
I'm queer, afab, brown and I study in a public university. The government hates me. I'm genuinely scared of what might happen to me if bolsonaro is allowed to remain in office. These four years he has been praising the military dictatorship, saying that 'it didn't kill enough people', and now the military police is stopping people from the region with his largest opposition from voting.
You cannot tell me this isn't an attempt at a coup. Please talk about this. Tweet "deixem o nordeste votar". With enough pressure, they may extend the voting time. Please, I'm begging you
Looking at the dark side to today’s events, the current media blackout is eliminating all reporting of the death of 24 year-old Chris Kaba, who was fatally shot by the Met Police on Monday night after being linked to a firearms incident. He was unarmed. Spread the news; continue the outrage.

Something I found interesting someone spoke on in YouTube comments regarding the socioeconomic disadvantages Black People (Black Women most prevalently, but Black People at large) deal with navigating unemployment, working in education and real estate because of white women.
Though we already know this, the ways in which white people have a strong, biased history of prioritizing themselves and (sabotaging/policing/socioeconomically restricting) others doesn’t only deprive, exhaust, overwork and dehumanize Black Americans; it subjects Black people from the UK to the same mistreatment and alienation, obviously. This is something white women definitely weaponize w/o consequence & at the expense of others openly as well as privately (reserving or cherry-picking whom has the right to a specific career, wealth bracket or quality of life in their own interest & at other races of women’s expense).
Seemingly — and with enough evidence to suggest the same in reality — the only women white women actually fight for or protect w/ any genuine compassion or concern, are other white women. Occupationally, socially, economically, etc. Exclusively. They don’t put in anywhere near as much work otherwise for anyone else on a considerably grand scale; Black Women least of all. This is also why I hate when they get on their soap boxes to snivel and look to be infantilized about how much “more” accountable white men are for exercises in white supremacy than they are or have ever been.
Here’s the source (short vid) if anyone wants to check it out. Side note, I am also v aware these aren’t biases that white women fortify against Black Women only. I am v much aware that they impose these kinds of obstacles on women who aren’t white on an international level and that it is a widespread issue. However, I’m looking more closely, and therefore speaking directly, to how this affects Black Women in the US & UK in particular.
Can we dish, Black Tumblr? Can I get Black Women’s opinions on this if you’re willing to discuss?
The Queen was so young. She was taken from us too soon. Let us all reflect on some of the generous things this symbolic figurehead with no governing power has done for the United Kingdom.
· Used "Royal symbolism" to make Prince Andrew "untouchable" when he began to receive bad press and allegations of wrongdoing emerged:
· Interfered in Australian politics :
· Allegedly said "Nip on Nip on" to Japanese person and "has reservations about Jews":
[image ID: a tweet from #BlackLivesMatterUK, @ukblm, which reads: "Today marks the 31st anniversary of Stephen Lawrence's murder. At just 18, his life was brutally taken in a racially motivated attack. Today, we can only recall this grave injustice but also the efforts of his family who continue to fight for justice."
Below the tweet is a reply written by #BlackLivesMatterUK, @ukblm, which reads: "Today the @metpoliceuk [the metropolitan police] was forced to apologise after failing to investigate publicly identified suspects. The broken promises, lack of support, and disregard are part of a broader pattern of institutional racism and neglect. Where is the accountability?"
Linked to the reply is an article about Stephen Lawrence's mum with a headline that reads: "Met Police apologises to Stephen Lawrence's mother after breaking promise."
