My Financial Rant

I’ve been observing gurus, experts, successful people that market to black people...I feel as if everyone is missing the key factor. Or should I say Achilles heel. 

As an earth bender I guess it’s my job to help people get to the root of their financial problems. To me, the root problem is currency. Not money. Currency. 

First, I want to say that I don’t see a problem with LLCs, Trusts, financial vehicles, strategies that these people are pushing. But if zero times anything is still zero. The same applies to all these strategies these people are pushing. 

I’ll expand further, many people would say, you can save your way to wealth. I respectfully disagree. 

You reading this may already know their message sounds something like this. 

Save your money and then go invest in some Apple stock or Nike. Or save your money and buy real estate and get a FHA loan etc. etc. etc. 

From one point of view, yes they are correct with a small contingency. If you are saving CURRENCY. Then yes, you cannot save your way to wealth. But if you are saving MONEY. The opposite is revealed. 

#Gold and #silver are money

But let’s look at a chart shall we. 

If you bought one ounce of physical gold in January 2000. You would have a savings of $285. Let’s say all you did was hold it up to today at the publishing of this post. Your $285 would be $1,754.37 today. A 515% increase. 

Conversely if you bought one share of the S&P500 in January 2000 at roughly $1,440 per stock. And held it the same way you did with the ounce of gold. Your Savings would be $4,228.48. A 207.5% increase.

In case you can’t read in between the lines, in order for the S&P500 to grow, these companies need to grow and stay profitable. Gold didn’t have to do a thing.

Sure you can say you earn dividends but this argument only backfires on the person who said this. Because when you say dividends, you are now revealing that the stock itself has a counterparty risk. The stock is an asset to you but a risk to the person or entity that gave it to you. The obligation has to be continually met. But as in for Gold, it’s an asset that has no counterparty risk. No one loses anything by you owning it. 

And this counterparty risk is something I’m weary of because as a black man in this country. I and the culture have seen how far America’s promises go. I’m merely asking how good are these promises? 

Don’t preach to me about what is impossible when all that happened in the 2008 market crash was deemed impossible. From what I can see, what I’m implying in this post is very well possible of happening. I think people have the same belief today as they did back then. That it is impossible for such financial ruin to happen because millions of people would be affected. 

But think about it, all these promises to pay:  Social Security Pensions Life Insurance Dividends Car Insurance House Insurance It’s all fun and games when in reality...as the precious metals community believes, you don’t own if you can’t hold it.  All this currency we pay out to these companies, entrusting them to do right by us because they rightfully owe us. It’s no different than all of us going to the bank to demand our dollars back when the bank doesn’t have the cash reserve to fulfill such a request aka a bank run. 

But I have yet to see one black influencer talk about this. I take that back. Silver Slayer and Silver Joker at the time of me writing this are the only black influencers who are talking about this. 

I feel as if there’s no point me talking about this because hey, I’m not rich. I don’t have credentials behind my name, I haven’t been on any major news networks so clearly I’m not someone people should listen to. I guess...we’ll see how well this blog post ages with time.
