random thought but I noticed that charlie bill and james (will colin and trent) have quite a lot of photos with each other on instagram or just generally stick together during promo (premieres, white house thing etc). so based on that i believe they became friends during filming therefore we are going to get a lot of shared scenes between them

Colin Hughes' story in Ted Lasso means so much to me as a queer football fan and I'm glad that it had a good conclusion.
I've been watching football since I was 10 and if you know a little about the men's football, you'll also know how toxic the fans are (for example the racial abuse faced by Vini Jr recently). Men's football is always idolized by straight white men as their ideal sport. Homophobia (and misogyny and racism) is huge in men's football. There are no football players from the LGBTQ+ community in any of the top leagues. Fans go on to abuse any club that supports the community. If you just look at the comment section of a couple of footballers who recently came out, like Joshua Cavallo or Jakub Jantor, you'll find thousands of homophobic comments. And when these fans have a disagreement, guess what their favourite insult to throw around is? 'You're gay'.
Standing in this scenario, watching Colin come out to his entire team and then loving and accepting him the way he his. Watching him being able to kiss his partner after a victory - this means so much to me. I'm pretty sure this is a huge inspiration for all my fellow football fans in the community. And perhaps this may have given some courage to some footballer out there struggling to accept himself and his identity. This scene will perhaps take another 50 years to become reality on the football field, but we can hope for that day.
(Note : Women's football is a very loving accepting fandom. There are a lot of footballers in the community and fans are absolutely amazing)

Check out my review of Season 3 of #TedLasso! Truly a gem of a show!
Season 3 of Ted Lasso proves in the first four episodes that it’s worthy of the premier league. A show that has gotten better season by season keeps finding new ways to be relevant while endearing you to its key ensemble of characters.
