I want to imagine their first time the same way I wrote in my fic Darkshines: they were attracted to each other for some time (still, Liu Kang was way more invested in the relationship at first) and eventually they couldn't ignore their feelings anymore. Still, it lacked real intimacy, and it was followed by a bitter morning after;

The following nights they spend together are objectively better for both of them. Liu Kang would definitely regret how their first time went, and he'd try his best to make Bi-Han feel at ease with him again. He's the definition of romantic, he'd never take Bi-Han without setting the right mood;

Liu Kang is THE service top, and Bi-Han is THE power bottom. You can't change my mind on that. Liu would be down to be at the receiving end once or twice, but he prefers to stay on top because he wants the focus to be all on his beloved. He doesn't care that much about his pleasure but more on Bi-Han's one: this includes that he's very observing of Bi-Han's reactions, so that he knows what he enjoys most and what he dislikes without the need for him to say anything; he also finishes only after Bi-Han's done and he hates it whenever he can't control himself and ends up coming before him (but y'know sometimes it just feels too good);

While Bi-Han had always been used either to quickies or rough fucks, he came to appreciate it when Liu Kang took things slowly. They can go at it for hours and do more than one round without either of them growing tired or bored of the other's attentions. Again, Liu is very romantic to me. They really have little time to spend together like this, and they want to make the best out of each night, and if that means making love until morning, so be it;

Also Liu is usually very gentle in bed but he can be rougher if Bi-Han asks him to (after all, he knows he can take it). He personally likes to mark Bi-Han, more like a playful provocation than a show of possessiveness;

While he's very careful with his touches, at the same time, Liu lets Bi-Han do anything he wants to him. He trusts that Bi-Han wouldn't purposely hurt him, so he's not afraid to let him scratch, bite and touch, however (and wherever) he wants. He enjoys it a lot especially when he lets Bi-Han use his mouth: the latter finds pulling Liu's hair and making him choke on his cock hotter than what he wants to admit. The morning after Liu's throat is so sore it hurts him to speak;

Liu Kang is the one who usually initiates things, but it's just because Bi-Han is too proud to openly admit he needs to fuck. Tho this doesn't only apply in bed but on all occasions, Liu likes displaying affections (in my opinion) in all the ways he can, so when they're alone he kisses and holds him with an affection Bi-Han has never seen with anyone else, while if they're in public, he limits himself by complimenting him in ways that wouldn't rise suspects but that still can have double meanings (at least for Bi-Han who knows him deeply);

Am I too soft with them? I see some people interpretating them as a love-hate type of pair, but I personally can't see Liu Kang as anything different than a tender lover.

Bi Han finally confronts Shang Tsung about his intentions with Liu Kang.

Bi Han stood in front of an old decrepit shed toward the back of the academy’s compound. It was not being used, so Liu Kang had allowed Shang Tsung to turn it into a makeshift laboratory as a reward for good behavior. Obviously, experimenting on living things was strictly forbidden. There, the sorcerer had been held up inside all morning. It was unusual as Shang Tsung usually never stayed in one place for long, always flitting about, observing the goings on of the academy, and foraging. Bi Han’s suspicion of Shang Tsung had reached its peak. He no longer had the patience for knocking, a habit that had gotten him scolded by Kuai Liang once or twice. A deep ache set in his chest at the thought of his estranged brother. He quickly shook it off and pushed open the shed’s door. The lock had broken ages ago, so it swung open without protest.

Shang Tsung was hard at work, mixing different ingredients together and occasionally writing something in a journal.

“Tch. What do you want? Can’t you see that I’m busy?” Shang Tsung’s usual pompousness was out in full force. Bi Han stepped into the room, observing the sorceror’s work. A narrow glass tube sat on the work table. Inside, a bubbling liquid let out a soft blue glow.

“What kind of magic are you concocting in here, sorcerer?” Bi Han interrogated.

“Oh, it’s you. I am simply preparing an elixir for our liege.” Shang Tsung responded unamused, but didn’t look up from the table. Sarcasm dripped from every syllable when he spoke. The term ‘Liege’ was just the latest in a barrage of teasing nicknames for Liu Kang. Clearly, the sorcerer viewed Liu Kang’s act of mercy as another form of imprisonment. Bi Han found such disrespect for the one person keeping him from slaughtering Shang Tsung to be increasingly grating on his nerves.

“Watch your tongue!” Bi Han pointed a finger at Shang Tsung. “Liu Kang may tolerate your insolence, but I will not!” Shang Tsung smirked, finally looking up from his task. The look he gave Bi Han was calculating, almost peering into his soul.

“Are you not familiar enough with Liu Kang to drop such formalities?” Shang Tsung remarked. “I had assumed you two were close.” Bi Han snatched him by the front of his robes, growling, but Shang Tsung’s smirk only deepened.

“So bitter! Just look what his Lordship has gifted to his declared enemy,” Shang Tsung gestured around the shed. “I perform bigger and bigger tasks for him and he returns the favor with a smile. I suspect he may even be growing attached to me. Imagine what a bit of sweetness could get you. ” He boasted, a mischievous grin splitting his face.

“So you admit it, then? Your only goal is to have Earthrealm under your thumb!” Bi Han growled, now invading Shang Tsung’s space.

“That was the goal, but I am still a mere mortal. I am not immune to wants of the flesh,” A different, more lascivious smile crept onto Shang Tsung’s face. “And it just so happens that my captor is quite attractive.” Bi Han’s eyes widened. An overwhelming rage and some unidentifiable emotion overtook his senses. His fist shook, ice webbing up his arm and creeping onto the fabric of Shang Tsung’s robes.

“I have been by Liu Kang’s side for longer than you have even known him,” Bi Han’s voice boomed. He jerked Shang Tsung forward, their faces now inches apart. “You are unfit to speak of him in such a way!”

Jealousy.

The hairs on the back of Bi Han’s neck stood on end at the realization. Shame settled hard and heavy in his gut. The Grandmaster did not get jealous.

“By his side, yes, but always in his periphery,” Shang Tsung replied snarkily. “You could have had a God at your beck and call, but you pushed him away for the sake of your ego. I would not have made such an egregious mistake.”

For once, Bi Han didn’t have anything to say, which only enraged him further.

‘Just know that I will not mourn you if you perish’

His last words to Liu Kang echoed in his mind. He did not understand the Fire God’s vision of peace, but he eventually came to understand that his designs for the Lin Kuei were not malicious. But that night, Bi Han needed someone to point the finger at, someone to put all of his frustrations on, and Liu Kang just happened to be there. Now, Liu Kang was potentially facing an army of Outworld’s strongest warriors on his own. He grunted, pushing Shang Tsung back and storming out of the shed. The sorcerer stumbled but quickly regained his balance. He looked on, the smirk never leaving his face. Bi Han couldn’t bring himself to care. He needed to see Kuai Liang.

Bi Han had been searching for so long the sun had begun to set. Perhaps, Kuai Liang had decided to return home. He was about to give up the search when he caught sight of Tomas and Raiden walking along the path, engaged in conversation. Tomas looked excited about whatever Raiden was telling him and enthusiastically clapped a hand on his back. Raiden blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. Bi Han marched toward the two. He must have looked intimidating as Raiden’s demeanor immediately shifted to concern, but Tomas knew better.

“Bi Han,” Tomas greeted, giving a small bow.

“Have either of you seen Kuai Liang?” Bi Han inquired.

“Yeah, you just missed him,” Tomas replied. “He was headed for one of the training rooms the last time we spoke.”

Bi Han nodded with a grunt, and left the pair to their own devices.

The sound of grunting could be heard along with the familiar swinging of rope. Bi Han stopped just outside the training room. The door was wide open. Anyone could have snuck in while Kuai Liang was distracted. Bi Han felt his anger rise and the urge to admonish his brother for such carelessness crept up on him, but he choked it down. Instead, he silently stepped into the room, observing the training. Kuai Liang practiced with his kunai for a moment longer before coming to a stop. With his back still turned to Bi Han, he began to methodically wrap up the rope for storage. Neither spoke.

“I have wronged you, Kuai Liang,” Bi Han finally spoke up.

“Is that an apology? From my brother?” Kuai Liang turned toward him and crossed his arms, the half folded rope still in his hand. Not outright hostile, but still guarded.

“I will not repeat myself,” Bi Han grunted.

Kuai Liang scoffed, a bitter ghost of a smile on his face. “Still as prideful as ever, I see.” He turned away, continuing the process of wrapping his weapon.

Bi Han looked away but remained motionless.

“I may not deserve your forgiveness,” He began. “But I have come here to ask for your help.”

“Asking instead of ordering. That’s a start, I suppose,” Kuai Liang relented, his expression softening. He finished wrapping and finally attached the kunai to his belt, looking at his brother once more. “What is it that you need, brother?”

“Liu Kang has gone off on a mission to Outworld. He went there alone to convince the Empress that Earthrealm does not want war with them,” Bi Han explained.

Kuai Liang’s eyes widened. “What? How could he not tell us?”

“He thought that bringing us would cause more suspicion and alarm. I tried to convince him otherwise, but he was determined.” Bi Han grumbled, remembering him and Liu Kang’s prior conflict. His brows pinch together in frustration.

“We need to find him. He could be in trouble!” Kuai Liang stepped closer to Bi Han.

“But without Liu Kang, we cannot reach Outworld.”

“Then we must find Geras! Surely, he can help us.”

“Well, what are we waiting for then? Tomas is not far from here. We may need him as well.” Bi Han stated. The two hurried out of the training room together. While a more in depth conversation was needed to fully resolve their differences, the brother’s were pleased to be working together once again.

From some chats I had with a friend

So, for instance, I'm well aware of Bi-Han's nasty attitude towards everyone, and I'll try my best not to write something ooc. Tho I can't help but see him more like the bratty type more than the dominant one (or better, a brat who pretends to be a dom iykyk); he wants to appear mighty, but he's not as cold as he presents himself to be. In fact, I think he might warm up under the right attentions, but they have to be from the RIGHT PERSON and them ONLY. He actually looks for someone who can keep up with him, either because they're on the same page as him or because they can predict his moves;

I think Liu Kang is perfect for him because they're so different, yet they can understand each other to some extent (opposites attract each other type of trope). I'm pretty much disappointed by Bi-Han's writing in MK1 because it gives too little explanation to his actions in story mode, this way I don't have much to work with and I have to let my delusions take the lead. But I can say that imo both Liu and Bi-Han are lonely souls who are looking for someone to fill that gap in their hearts. Liu would find amusement in trying to tame a beast like Bi-Han, and the latter would come to appreciate being taken care of;

Liu Kang can be very sweet and caring, but he's not afraid to impose himself, and I imagine Bihan to find enjoyment in messing with him, just to see for how long Liu Kang is willing to put up with him (spoiler: for eternity). Not used to affection, Bi-Han tends to destroy his relationships before they can hurt him: this way, he shields himself from eventual disappointment (see the outcome it had with his family, for example). Liu Kang knows what he's trying to do, and he promised himself not to let Bi-Han win this easily;

At first, Bi-Han would find Liu Kang's love annoying (even if he's hungry for it, he just doesn't know it yet). Whatever he does or says, Liu Kang has the right answer and the right solution for it, and no matter the situation he'd always try to understand Bi-Han so that he can be on his same side and support him. This would initially send Bi-Han on fire (eh) because he somehow came to think that he doesn't deserve/need any of that trust. He'd swear to hate Liu Kang due to his forgiving nature and his gentle approach towards everyone, but later he'd realize that what Liu Kang is offering him personally is way more than that: it is not courtesy, rather unconditional love;

So, the more Bi-Han tries to build a wall between them, the more force Liu Kang uses to demolish it;

People like Bi-Han, with such complex feelings, tend to contradict themselves: Liu Kang's presence morphed, with time, into a source of comfort. At last, he tried to focus more on enjoying what him and Liu Kang were having rather than destroying it before it had the chance to grow. Easily his best ever decision, because Liu Kang spoils and worships him in unimaginable ways;

Ever since he became a Titan and he lost his Kitana, Liu had been by himself. And I imagine him as someone who has so much love to give. Do you think he would really lose the opportunity to drow Bi-Han in it? Absolutely not;

Bi-Han would rather die than act all romantic, but fortunately for him, Liu Kang is enough for the both of them: each night Liu has the chance to have Bi-Han in his bed, he cuddles him and caresses his cold skin with warm hands, also enjoying the feeling of Bi-Han's body trembling under his touch at the sudden change of temperature. He would cover him in praise between each kiss, which can sound a bit cheesy for someone external but for Liu this is their moment and he wants to to make the most out of it; he also isn't shy when it comes to praise because he means every word of it (he would never say empty words to Bi-Han, he wants to gain the man's trust after all);

He compliments his body, his skill, his character, and Bi-Han doesn't really know how to react because he had never heard someone say such things to him before. One part of him wants to cringe, but the other wants to hug Liu tighter. Also, knowing that Liu Kang believes every word excites him even more;

So imagine Liu Kang's surprise when, after months of them being together, Bi-Han finally gives a compliment back. Maybe even a simple phrase said awkwardly, but still sincere and genuinely loving. He would cry, if those bioluminescent eyes of his were capable of such a thing (can they, actually?).

So what I like for this ship is a touch-starved Bi-Han with way too little relationship experience and an overly romantic Liu Kang who would do anything for him to make him feel loved again, even close an eye to more than one red flag.
