Bia Ferreira è cantautrice, polistrumentista e attivista femminista nera intersezionale.

Con uno stile unico che unisce soul, reggae, blues, funk, R&B e gospel suona una musica che ha definito MMP (Música de Mulher Preta), la musica delle donne nere.

La sua arte nasce per generare “disagio” che a sua volta provoca “movimento” per comunicare, sensibilizzare e informare.

Nata a Carangola, in Brasile, il 19 aprile 1993, in una famiglia evangelica, sua madre è un’insegnate di canto e direttrice di coro. Ha iniziato a studiare il pianoforte a soli tre anni, per poi continuare al conservatorio. A dodici anni ha scritto la sua prima canzone in cui chiedeva a Dio di non essere lesbica, retaggio della sua educazione fortemente religiosa.

A quindici anni ha lasciato la casa dei genitori, iniziato a viaggiare in autostop e a esibirsi per strada per sopravvivere, sviluppando un peculiare modo di suonare la chitarra, appoggiandola dietro alla testa o usando soltanto una mano.

È stato in quel periodo che ha iniziato ad avvicinarsi ai collettivi di lotta nera femminista. 

Le sue canzoni si muovono tra ritmi R&B, ballate soul, afrobeat, groove reggae o padogão bahianais, creando un rap consapevole e un flow tagliente. I suoi brani parlano della condizione delle donne in Brasile, di emarginazione, povertà, esclusione, razzismo e omofobia.

La canzone che l’ha resa nota al grande pubblico, Cota Não É Esmola, che parla della disparità di accesso all’università da parte della popolazione nera, è diventata un testo obbligatorio per l’esame di ammissione all’Università di Brasilia e di altri atenei carioca.

Il suo album Igreja Lesbiteriana, Um Chamado, del 2019, i cui testi sono stati scritti e cantati secondo un approccio di programmazione neurolinguistica che dovrebbe aiutare il cervello ad assorbire meglio il suo messaggio, è stato lanciato col singolo De Dentro do AP, con un video prodotto da un team di sole donne, un cast e una troupe interamente neri, comprendeva un’esibizione della poeta Thata Alves. La chiesa a cui il titolo del disco fa riferimento è un luogo di rifugio per persone rifiutate dagli altri luoghi di culto.

Con due album all’attivo, una nomination ai Woman in Music Awards del 2018, una notevole performance al WOMEX di Lisbona nel 2022, Bia Ferreira che a teatro è stata la protagonista del musical Elza, in cui ha interpretato la grande musicista brasiliana Elza Soares, non manca mai di portare il suo contributo in manifestazioni in supporto dei diritti umani.

È stata tra le protagoniste del documentario A Thousand Women e, nonostante il governo Bolsonaro abbia tentato di tacitarne la voce, facendo annullare tanti suoi concerti, lei continua imperterrita a produrre, esibirsi e portare avanti le sue istanze e idee, esportando la sua musica in tutto il mondo.

A 3ª edição do Acdrock Music Fest mexeu com Cambeses | Reportagem Fotográfica

Carolina Brandão, a baterista dos Sunflowers | mais fotos clicar aqui A edição inaugural do Acdrock Music Fest aconteceu em 2021 e teve apenas os The Vaults, Rusted Sun, Doutor Assério e DJ set por Cerci. Aconteceu a 28 de agosto desse ano em Cambeses no concelho de Barcelos. Apareceu devido a um conjunto de jovens de uma associação cultural e desportiva com o objetivo de promover bandas emergentes de Portugal com o intuito de proporcionarem “muito rock, diversão, entretenimento e principalmente convívio”.

Em 2022 mudou-se de armas e bagagens para o mês de julho, passou a decorrer em 2 dias e contou com a presença de bandas como Gator, The Alligator, Baleia Baleia Baleia, Fugly ou Cosmic Mass.

No passado fim-de-semana nos dias 14 e 15 de julho o figurino manteve-se com 2 dias. Esta 3ª edição ocupou no campo de futebol de Cambeses, local onde realizaram-se os concertos.

Hélio Morais, um dos bateristas dos Paus | mais fotos clicar aqui A abertura do 1º dia esteve a cargo dos Jepards de Fafe, jovem banda formada por Carlos, Dany, Pedro e Zé Pedro.

De seguida foi a vez dos Cave Story, quarteto de post punk oriundo das Caldas da Rainha, liderado pelo vocalista/guitarrista Gonçalo Formiga. Conta também com Ricardo Mendes (bateria), José Sousa (guitarra) e Bia Diniz (baixo). Esta artista é também conhecida pelo seu projeto a solo: April Marmara. Os Sunflowers do Porto já dispensam apresentações cujo núcleo duro é formado por Carlos de Jesus (guitarra e voz) e Carolina Brandão (bateria e voz). Ao vivo têm o apoio de Frederico Ferreira no baixo. Os Paus de Lisboa compostos por Hélio Morais, Joaquim Albergaria, Makoto Yagyu e Fábio Jevelim foram os penúltimos em palco. O bracarense Tiago Sampaio apresentou o seu projeto a solo St. James Park tendo encerrado a noite.

O 2º dia foi apelidado de “Dia da Terra” e teve outras atividades: uma caminhada pela freguesia, um passeio de motas e atividades lúdicas. Na parte noturna tiveram lugar os concertos. Abertura por Fabiana Ferreira seguida por Stereossauro & Ana Magalhães "Tristana", a estreia num palco de festival desta artista feminina. O vimaranense Giliano Boucinha com o seu projeto Tyroliro e que foi o vencedor do Festival Termómetro em 2022. Ele que também faz parte dos Paraguaii.

Miguel do Mundo é Miguel Santos artista que colaborou com a banda Quadra providenciando a sua voz em alguns temas desta formação oriunda de Braga. Um dos convidados especiais dos Quadra no seu concerto no Primavera Sound Porto ocorrido no recente mês de junho foi precisamente Miguel.
