The Sea Prince; Hunting Party announcement!

okay maybe this isn’t the oneshot I promised but it’s gonna be good I promise-

SO! As of recent, I finished up the revised outline to The Sea Prince’s act one, named Hunting Party! The plot has a lot more going on and I’m in love with this story so much more. This means sooner or later the prologue will come out! As soon as it does, we’ll come to the next important thing;

Beta readers!

Preferably, I’d want three! I have one already, so two more would be great!

What do beta readers do?

They help give feedback and act as a sort of test audience! I’ll need it with all the things packed into this storyline ehehe. There’s a lot in store! I’d want to make sure I’m giving off the right impression with my writing and the like.

I will give the summary of The Sea Prince (and Act One!) under the cut, and as a treat, here is a doodle I’ve made of Act Two Scott and Martyn, they get little changes in their designs <3

There’s one doodle under the cut that has blood (it isn’t red, but blood is blood!) so here’s your warning for it!

THE SEA PRINCE.

In a world full of deadly, man-eating sea monsters there are specialized teams of people who’s job and legacy is to eradicate the horrors of the deep. Monster hunters, hunters for short, are funded by guilds to personal employers to seek out the dangerous beasts and let the sea live in a peaceful, monster-free environment for the animals and humans to thrive.

A notorious hunter group, the Canaries, are led by brothers Joel and Grian Solidarity and are personally funded by His Royal Majesty as one of the best hunters the kingdom has to offer. Such luxuries give them the access to powerful weapons and a rivalry with the best naval commanders, known as TIES. These two groups are summoned to a meeting as the King sends them on their most daring commission yet; find and capture a sea prince.

Sea Princes are, by nature, mythological. They don’t exist. They’re hunter stories meant to scare children and keep the population from wanting to explore the seas, if not for the very real monsters that infest the waters. Capturing one, not to mention proving they exist would be a challenge. This is the King they were working under though, and if he says to find a sea prince and capture it, they’ll do it. Besides, if they were able to, they would be put down in the history books.

Martyn always believed they existed. A child born from hunters, stories about their bloody past and murderous rage haunts and excites him. From the god-like treasure they hide underneath the waves to the feuding war against the mermaids, he’s made it his goal to kill a sea prince. It’s what he wants the most after all.

Well. There was also Scott.

Scott Major is a beautiful man who works in a tavern, never in his life has he been out to sea. Martyn swears to him that once his life goal is complete, he’ll stay. The call of the sea is somehow always there, as if it was right in front of him. Martyn risks his life every single moment he boards the ship, but he always comes back in one piece. He has to.

He can’t risk losing Scott too.

ACT ONE: HUNTING PARTY.

Being sent on a mission to capture a sea prince, the Canaries and TIES form a bet; whoever finds evidence of a prince first can lead the mission. Agreeing under pride, they set out. Martyn has his heart set on fulfilling his dream, but it doesn’t look like Scott is too thrilled with the idea. He’ll understand.

What the hunters don’t know is that their goal charters out of their control and they are forced to seek refuge on an island everyone believes to be cursed. The Scarlet Witch haunts the isle, and every hunting ship that enters will never exit.

They’ll be the first to prove that wrong.

Elements/ general themes the story will contain;

- Nightmares

- Sea horror (monsters attacking ships, fear of the ocean, those types of things)

- fights and injuries (they bleed!)

- character death

- slow burn. really slow burn but a lot of flirting and sweet moments between the two

- worldbuilding

- found family

- there’s likely more to which I’ll add unto!

This story has become a very big passion of mine and I’d love to be able to tell this with the most clarity and enjoyment I can provide! If you’re interested in becoming a beta, I’d like you to comment under the post or reblog it to why you’d want to beta read it and the like :D it’s not a first come first serve basis and it will be open until I finish the prologue, which is in about a week or two from now. With the beta readers and synopsis out of the way, here’s some sneak peeks to the next batch of designs along with some sketches I made for Act One! I wonder if you can figure out the context behind those words ;)

Just some minor changes with Martyn and Scott! Scott’s hair is more red tinted and darker so he’s more ginger, while Martyn is more clean-shaven! Maybe he has some stubble the next time I sketch him, but he looks more youthful here! I also realize that these are all the winners, but it does make sense with how important they are to the story :0!

Now, unto the designs! Can you guess who’s who?

Super excited to finish this batch and work on their lore; I’ll finish this before the prologue!

Favorite new character you found from any media as of late?

(A favorite of mine lately has been The General/Mr. Villain from Mr. Villain’s Day off. Though I started it back in late January. It’s a really funny cute slice of life anime about an alien villain from the perspective of the equivalence of a power rangers having fun days off and a love for pandas, I totally recommend it!)

This is a picture of the show it has about 13 episodes in sub and the season just finished and has been a real help for me when I’m stress and been a treat at the end of the week when it came out.

Favorite new character from media... That's a great question!! I really have to sit and think about that I. . . I kinda struggle with finding characters in media that I am super drawn to??

I am pretty jealous of folks who get crushes on characters in media! 🤣 It unfortunately doesn't happen a lot with me, so I typically swoon over my characters to make up for that ehehe.

But uhhhHHH let me think... has there been any character that I have found cute?...

Nos-4-A2 from the Buzzlight Year of Star Command cartoon! It's a old cartoon, but rewatching that show was a fun NOStalgic trip! 🤣

I have also been playing a beta version of a Nsfw game called Cloud Meadow and I think Brontide has a fun personality, between being this tanky warrior vs the silly blushy guy you see in the art sometimes. It gives me the vibes that he gets silly and shy with the romanto and that is very cute! = D

Also the weird silly clown man that appears? He is weird, he is silly, he has puppets on his hands that talk to you. Is he throwing voices or are the puppets sentient? I have no idea!

Though I have to say I am personally really drawn to the shadowy NPCs you run into, they are human shaped but drawne in a way where their features are obscurred.♡A♡ ) You can't tell if they are just regular humans or if they are some kind of shadowy beings and.. I really like the mystery and think they are cool looking. Also the resident mage has a really neat design and I wish you could talk to them more too. . .

Of course I take a liking to the guys that you can't romance in the romance game ahahaha 🤣🤣🤣

Oh! Yes, I think I have read a little bit of that!! That is such a cute comic! (And an anime? Heck yeh!) I am so glad you found fun stuff to read with cute characters that you enjoy! >//U//< ) That is the best!!

How would Adam treat a little? What if it was his little one?

Adam, whether he likes it or not, is a Beta Caregiver, so Littles are kind of his personal weakness. He does have a heart underneath that exterior. Yeah, he doesn't see Sinners as even remotely the same as Winners even though they are literally human souls, and he is a staunch misogynist, but he didn't exactly have an example to follow, he just happened to be the first dickhead to have the thought that men should be the head of household. However, that also means he was the provider, the one making sure there was a means to eat and kept the family protected. Clearly he became more lax and chased flights of fancy in heaven where he didn't have to work for anything, but anybody will stagnate or worse deteriorate morally, emotionally, and intellectually if there is no real push for them to be better and heaven is the pinnacle of that. Every need met and catered to and Winners don't need to worry about falling no matter what? You bet your ass prolonged exposure to this setting would fuck even the best person up to the worst parts of their character, and Adam is literally the oldest soul in heaven.

I'm guessing for the first while he'd be alone and would be told about his second wife's betrayal (if he didn't already know, there's this whole thing about Cain being the son of the serpent if you wanna know more Google it but this combined with the fact Lucifer implied he also had sex with Eve leads me to believe it could've somehow happened while they were alive, buuuut there's a whole other tangent there because they state Adam was the first human soul but then does that mean Abel didn't get into heaven or was his soul waiting for Adam do Cain and Abel even exist in the universe?!) [[For the purpose of this AU, they exist, and Abel just waited for his father at the gate because he didn't want to go in without anyone he knew there. However, for whatever reason, they've grown apart and don't see each other anymore.]]

Ehehe, sorry about that massive tangent above. This is the first Adam ask, and there's kinda some groundwork to cover for this to even make sense for a lot of people. Anyhow, back on track after his second wife's betrayal he would be in no hurry to get anybody to try and fill in any sort of spot as someone he genuinely cares about and needs him and all that. Hence, he becomes something of a playboy. Also, being the first human soul in heaven and finding out about the secondary gender and designation system he wouldn't properly understand it, all he knows is that he's a fucking Beta cuck and by the time reassigning treatment for it comes along there's already too many people here for him to just go in discreetly so he's stuck using artificial hormones and things he can get under the table through two or three parties before reaching him so nobody would ever know. Over half of his "I'm the original dick" bullshit is literally just this front he puts up to keep the facade that he's an Alpha. He even uses injections to give himself a fake rut at the same time a normal cycle would happen. His avoidance of connection leads him to staying away from places where he might bump into Littles leaving him to joining a band that plays at the strip and bar joints (it's probably tamer than hell but you're really telling me there's no one in heaven who's a good soul but just horny or likes the occasional drink? Like I get that those who indulge in excess are guilty of the sin(s or a combination) of Gluttony, Lust, and /or Greed but like once their up there you're telling me it's all ice cream shops and petting zoos and singing? Especially in this version? I mean, at what point does fun become hedonistic or overindulgence? Can you have no sex except vanilla behind closed bedroom doors? Boy, if I got redeemed, I'd be clawing my way back down extermination or no if you're telling me BDSM is outlawed. XD I am lowkey tired while writing this, so sorry for the obscene amount of tangents, cursing, and odd tone) just so he can avoid them. When Lute comes, he has someone to project his needs of caring for someone onto even though Lute is an Alpha Neutral. (90 percent of the exorcists are Alphas actually and it simultaneously passes him off, because why the fuck isn't he an Alpha, and gives him a power rush since he commands them easily and they're eating out of the palm of his fucking hand.) Granted he's not the best at it, but he's trying and also Lute is a bit much for even him at times, plus she's the only one who will correct him whenever he's wrong or about to do or say something completely stupid so he kinda hates that even if it is very rare.

Anyway, by present day he's so far pushed back his actual instinctual needs to care for someone that the very first Little, Sinner or Winner, that touches him his Caregiver is going to bond with and he's going to be stuck with them. If they're a Sinner he's sneaking them into heaven and hiding them away and at first he fucking sucks but he can't stand to see them crying especially when regressed so he gets better pretty quickly. If they're a Winner he's better to them but still somewhat resentful they're harshing his whole unattached Alpha male stud vibe he had going on. It'd be a learn to be better type story. If Lucifer found out he might be very concerned because he knows the kind of man Adam has become and he wouldn't trust the man with a goldfish, let alone a Little. (But that's a story for another time)

Anyway hope that all made sense and wasnt offensive or anything somehow I'm literally falling asleep typing.

TLDR: Adam wouldn't go within ten feet of a Little if he could help it, but when he has one of his own more and more of the man he used to be is awakened and he becomes a better Caregiver if not person overall.

opinions on Tako.. this beta character... I have theories about her eheh :3

All the beta characters are sooooo interesting to think about!!! I once saw a theory of them being like. beta headspace friends? from before? kinda like my concept of Abbi being a headspace friend...which i used in my au...hehe...

Anyways. I really like that theory. but also, I find it really interesting how Tako's design is often translated to Abbi's in fanart, even though they're actually unrelated in the game. i mean it's not like i'm not guilty of this lmao

Oh!! One thing I find SUPER interesting is how the beta characters seem to have been included in that old concept of their gender changing along with Sunny's, as you can see here:

Bug♡Buzz♡Dreamy Alice Fantasia Pt 9 - Happily Ever After

The Hatter: With that, Alice and the White Rabbit’s adventure came to a close.

They began to call the Queen’s castle their home and lived a wonderful life together.

—There was no telling where this story would go. From beginning to end, it was full of ambiguity.

A happy ending like this was just one among many possible outcomes.

…More importantly, who knows how they’ll be after awakening from their dreams.

Will they wake up feeling refreshed? Or perhaps something else…?

Well, their storybook has already closed. May their dreams be blessed…

???: —m…Lim…!

Hyd: Liiim! You’ve gotta wake up!

Lim: Huh…!?

Hyd: Hey, you’re finally up! How are you feeling? Are you alright?

Lim: Ah…Alice…? No, you’re Hyd…even now…I still mess that up…

Hyd: You were dreaming, right? I went into Alice in Wonderland too, y’know!

Lim: Wait, you did…? But…I thought you chose…

Hyd: Peter Pan. Only problem is, when I started the dream everything was completely wrong! Somehow, I had turned into Alice!

Fran: I’ve received a message that it was a bug. It turns out that all the presets they prepared ended up just being Alice in Wonderland.

To make matters worse, once you start, you can’t even quit out of the dream until the end. Ugh, how’d this even happen!?

Lim: I-I see…so it really was a bug…

Hyd: It was real surprising, y’know? I chased after a rabbit that looked just like Lim until I came across Fran dressed up like the Queen.

Then I was chased by a bunch of soldiers and just as they were on the verge of capturing me, I woke up!

Fran: It was terrible for me too. Bunny Lim suddenly burst into tears and Alice Hyd went totally berserk…

The Queen’s dress wasn’t bad but everything else was completely out of control! Just because it’s a beta test doesn’t mean I don’t have my limits!

Lim: Following rabbits…crying, acting brash…it sounds like there were little differences between all of our dreams…

Hyd: How was it for you, Lim? I bet it was super weird, huh?

Lim: Um, well…I had the same casting as the both of you. A lot of terrible things happened…

—But we had a happy ending. It was a nice dream.

Fran: Really? I was worried it’d upset you seeing chaos like that…

Hyd: So you had a good dream then, Lim? I wish I could’ve seen it.

Lim: Yeah…but in the end, it really was just that—a dream.

I…like being able to talk to the both of you in real life more.

Fran & Hyd: …

Lim: J-Just kidding…ehe. Ehehe.

Hyd: No, you’re right! The real Lim and the real Fran are the best!

Fran: Hm, well at least I wasn’t given some weird role.

Anyway, those outfits I saw in my dream were pretty nice…maybe I should try and make them?

Hyd: Huh!? There’s no way I’m wearing what Alice did! It was just a dream, y’know!

Fran: Then why don’t I just take some inspiration from them? I don’t really want to tamper with the original designs too much though~.

Hyd: They’re gonna have ruffles and frills all over them no matter how you change them up! I am NOT wearing that!

Lim: Fufu…

Yellow and Purple... And Purple... And Purple

This is for the second day of the Bumbleby Week! Meeting the parents! Hope you guys enjoy it ^-^

Yang didn't know why she was this nervous. She had seen Kali and Ghira in various other occasions. That time when Haven almost fell. That time in Vacuo, when they and Blake reunited. That time they were planning on the final battle against Salem. That time they were celebrating the Grimm lady's defeat. Hell, they had even talked and laughed together.

This was the first time the four of them were going to have dinner together, though. Yang was not a fellow warrior, she was their daughter's girlfriend. She felt like there was a whole new weight there. Not that she thought they would kick her out of their lives and shout at her, but she did want to make a good impression on them as a person. More than just as that, but also as the person who wanted to spend the rest of her days with Blake.

"Tie or no tie?" She asked her girlfriend, who was sitting in their bed. Blake was wearing a long violet slitted dress and black high heels. Her short black hair was free, looking silky and beautiful as ever. Her yellow eyes contrasted with her clothes, and were as striking as ever. She looked gorgeous.

"Yang, I already told you. Whatever you decide will be okay with them. My parents love you already, you don't have to try to impress them." Blake answered, smiling softly at Yang. The blonde was dressed in brown leather shoes, dark jeans, a yellow button up and a purple vest. The shirt's sleeves were rolled up, showing both her forearms as she held the black bow tie with her right hand. Her hair was up in a ponytail, exposing the tattoo she had gotten with Blake's emblem on the right side of her neck. It matched Blake's own of Yang's emblem, which was in the left side of her neck.

"But... I don't know if it's overdressing to put it, or if it'd be too informal." Yang sighed, looking at the piece of clothing in her hand. Blake got up, going to the other's side. She kissed Yang's tattoo, and then the blonde's jaw. Then, she pulled away a bit and took the tie from her girlfriend's hand, wrapping it around her neck. With that, she pulled Yang to her, using the cloth. She kissed Yang on the lips, surprising her.

After a few seconds, Yang put her hands on the other's waist and pulled Blake's body flush to her. The faunus bit the brawler's lower lip and then licked it, making the taller girl moan lightly. Blake, as the tease she is, pulled away and left Yang wishing for more. The two looked into each other's eyes for a few moments, and the raven haired smiled at her partner.

"You look perfect to me, sunshine."

"Uh... then I guess it's settled, huh?" Yang said, a bit dreamy.

"It is." Blake chuckled. "Let's go?"

"Let's!"

As they entered the restaurant, they immediately spotted Kali and Ghira sat in a four chairs table by the window. The place was not that big; it was a cozy and beautiful pizza place that Blake and Yang had found after they moved back to Vale. They loved going there, and when Kali called telling them she and Ghira would spend some time in the city, the girls knew where they would take Blake's parents first. They didn't offer for the pair to stay in their apartment because it didn't have much room, though, so the older pair stayed at a hotel.

Blake and Yang walked to the table, and were met with opened arms. Ghira hugged Yang, while Kali held their daughter before they switched.

"Yang, sweetie, you look terrific!"

"T-thanks, Mrs. Belladonna! You look amazing yourself."

"Oh, please drop the formalities. We're already past that."

"Sure thing, ma'am. I mean, Kali."

"I think your girlfriend is nervous, Blake." Ghira commented to his daughter, grinning at his wife and at Yang.

"You had to see her earlier. She was about to explode."

"Was not!" Yang protested, as they sat in their chairs. "I just wanted to look good."

"As if that would take much effort." Blake smirked, nudging Yang's arm. Ghira served them some of the wine he had ordered before the girls arrived. "You're very good looking already."

"Uh... ehehe... yeah, I am."

"Her confidence in her looks matches Ghira's when we were your age." Kali smiled at them.

"It runs in the muscles club!" Ghira exclaimed, flexing. His biceps were designed by his black blazer, and were visibly enormous.

"Yeah!" Yang grinned back, flexing as well. "These guns can kill with how they look!"

"What are yours named? Mine are Mogli and Baloo."

"Mine are Nemeia and Lerna!"

"Now, now. You can bond over your 'guns' later." Kali said, smirking at them as Blake glared at some girl who was staring at Yang. "How have you two been doing here in Vale?"

"Oh, it's been great! I got a job at Beacon to teach combat to the students there. Kids are great, and I'm glad to be a part of their learning experience." Yang smiled at the image of her students. "Funny how I always saw myself running the world at twenty five, and now I'm stuck in Vale, teaching a bunch of kiddos."

"Life does have a lot of surprises for us in its course. We can either learn from them, and embrace the changes that come, or keep running and be stubborn." Ghira shared his wisdom. "I'm glad you were able to find something that, while surprising to you, makes you happy."

"So am I." Kali smiled at her daughter's girlfriend. "You deserve to be happy, Yang. You both do."

"Well, I'm not the celebrity here, though! Blake's the youngest senator ever elected in Vale, and is the first faunus to ever achieve that here!" Yang said, taking the attention off herself.

"It's not that big of a deal, Yang. And 'celebrity' is a bit of a reach. I'm at the service of the people of Vale. And I have a duty with the faunus and the Faunus Rights cause, which includes conciliating their interests to whatever is good to the rest of the people, combat prejudice, and make sure that the rallies don't become anything harmful to either of the parties." Blake explained.

"Well... you're also a famous writer now, so I still stand with celebrity." Yang teased.

"Famous writer?" Kali raised an eyebrow. "And why haven't your works reached Menagerie yet? The disrespect..."

"Um... i-it's nothing much yet, mom. I'm still, uh, starting here, in Vale before I get big."

"She writes smut and doesn't want it to get to you guys." Yang blurted out.

"Yang!" Blake shouted at her girlfriend, ears down and face color a bright shade of red. "That was one scene in one book. Why can't you let it go already?!"

Yang was laughing out loud, hands on her belly. Ghira and Kali were shocked for a few moments, before joining Yang in her laughter. "It always g-gets to her!" Yang managed to say as laughter dimmed to wheezing breaths.

"Oh my goodness." Kali wiped her tears of laughter away. "Blake, why didn't you just tell us already?"

"I-I... it's just... you're my parents, and... ugh!" Blake hid her face in her hands. "This is so embarrassing."

"C'mon, baby..." Yang put her left hand on Blake's exposed back, making the young woman shiver a bit. "It's not like they're mad."

"Yeah." Ghira agreed. "As much as I don't like to admit it, you're a grown woman now, Blake. If you write those... um... things, it's not a problem. You're free to do what you please with your writing."

"I agree with your father." Kali smiled at her. "And I would actually enjoy reading your books. Knowing you, they must be great."

"Oh, they are!" Yang's voice showed a lot of excitement. "I've beta read them all, and Blake is a great writer. She puts a lot of effort in them, and it shows that she practiced and read a lot to get where she is now. She's very hardworking, and deserves all the attention and praise her readers can give."

The eyes of Blake's parents shone in emotion. They were glad to see someone who talked about their daughter with such emotion, such affection. Yang was clearly in love with Blake, and every little movement showed it. There was no way in this world they would be able to hate this girl.

"I like her." Ghira said, pointing at Yang with a smile. "I like her a lot."

"You've been saying that ever since the moment you saw her back in Haven." Kali smiled.

"At least I got it right. Blake likes her too."

"Well, she liked Sun when they first arrived in Kuo Kuana."

"Kali, she glared at him more than I did."

"I glared at you a lot too."

"You stared at me with affection, Kali. Like, heart eyes and all."

"We're not debating this right now, are we?" Blake questioned through clenched teeth. "Sun was a friend, I already told you that."

"Blake," Yang put a hand on her girlfriend's arm, smiling at her. "We all know you crushed at him at some point. No need to get angry."

"I crushed on him, yeah. But I love you."

"I know, I know." Yang pecked Blake's cheek. "Just teasing, love."

Blake gave her a small smile, and gave Yang's lips a small kiss. Kali awed and Ghira smiled softly at their small display of affection, remembering their young years. They knew how it felt, being young and in love.

The night passed by smoothly, and they ate pizza together and laughed a lot. They were all enveloped by a pleasant atmosphere, feeling good in each other's presence. Yang's worries seemed very dumb to her by the time their dinner was over. Blake was right, Ghira and Kali already loved her. It was easy to be in their company, just like it was easy to be in Blake's. She could see many similarities between her girlfriend and her parents, and it was endearing.

"Well... this was a great night." Ghira said after giving both the young women a tight hug.

"The greatest." Kali smiled at them. "Now answer me, when's the wedding?"

"W-wedding?" Yang asked.

"Yeah." Ghira answered. "It's a generations old tradition in Menagerie. When one's girlfriend or boyfriend is introduced to their parents, they must get married. That is, if their intentions are good."

"Oh, um..." the blonde felt cornered.

"Yeah, Yang. If you wish to keep dating me, you must propose."

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know of that. I... uh... I don't have a proposal ring with me right now, b-but I'll get one once my payment is out this month! I meant no disrespect, I-"

She was cut off by laughter, and looked at the three faunus in front of her, confused. The three seemed to be having the time of their life. Did she say something funny? Did she sound too desperate? Why in the world were they laughing so hard at her?

"She... she actually fell for it!" Ghira's laughter was the loudest, deepest sound Yang had ever heard coming from him, beating even his loud roar.

"W-what...?" Yang let out, voice shaky in confusion, and she barely caught Blake as her girlfriend hugged her, giggling.

"Oh, Yang, you're too pure for this world..."

"I still don't get it. Is the marriage thing true or not?"

"Of course not, dear." Kali smiled at her. "Your time to marry is for the two of you to decide."

"Geez..." Yang sighed, a bit of relief. "I do propose some times while talking to myself, but I wasn't ready for the real thing all of sudden."

The four of them laughed a bit more, enjoying the aftermath of the prank. They said their goodbyes, and the black and yellow duo got in Blake's car, and headed home.

"See? It wasn't all that bad, was it?" Blake asked when they stopped in a red light.

"Not at all! Your parents are lovely. I really liked getting to meet them outside of a battle planning occasion." Yang smiled, and pecked Blake's cheek just before the light turned green. "About the proposal, though... do you really, y'know, think about it?"

Blake tuned a left before answering. "I mean... we do live together already. A marriage would be making it official, right?" Blake's response was a bit nervous.

"Yeah..."

"Yang?" Blake looked at Blake briefly. "You okay?"

"It's just... I promised myself I would only marry someone I was sure that would be with me for the rest of our days. That wouldn't leave when we had a child, or... or die all of sudden. It's... kind of a big deal to me." Yang rubbed the back of her neck. "I don't wanna do it unless you're not completely ready, though. I know you're the person I want to go into afterlife with, but I don't want you to feel pressured into marrying now."

"I..." Yang's confession made Blake's heart swell with affection. "Just a few more years. I don't really feel ready right now."

"Okay. Whenever you're ready. I don't think I'm ready yet, either."

Blake smiled at her girlfriend and reached her hand to give Yang's thigh a small squeeze, before wrapping it back around the steering wheel. Then, they kept talking about other subjects, such as random moments of the night. The two of them were glad they talked about the marriage item, and were grateful that Ghira and Kali brought it up. The dinner was such a nice encounter, one they would have in their memories for a long time.

The Sea Prince; Assorted Doodles!

First of all, thank you for such a good reception on the prologue! It only gets better from there, promise >:D!

Second, as of posting, there are a planned 28 total installments of act one! I am halfway done, and once there is a backlog of beta-read chapters, I’ll set up a proper posting schedule.

Anyway, doodle time! I’ve been working on a few doodles while writing + illustrating the covers! Doodles under the cut, have a little teaser for what’s to come ;)

Illustrating the covers are super fun, cannot wait to post them with their affiliated chapter! I still have to illustrate arc three’s cover and the epilogue, but for now, here are the little things I’ve drawn for the au as a treat <3

Finalized Pearl’s facial scar while also messing with ideas of heterochromia for her :> I imagine the scar got her eye acting up, so I’ll cotninue messing with it :> also Scott’s there! Wanted to draw his bangs differently <3

OH! Their prince forms are a bit different too :0c changed up their horns (or ‘crowns’ as they’re referred) and added more gradients on em, can’t have enough of those! You can also see the difference between Pearl’s human scar vs her real scar, aaand I gave princes some extra sharp teeth so, they look a bit more inhuman :D aren’t they cute tho?

Also, concept art of the nature wives!! It’s funny that Shelby is out on pirates smp (I have not watched any of the lore in a while-) and I’ve always had plans for her and Katherine in this au ehehe, it just works! While I have her pirates skin on there, I mostly referenced the other skins you see there. Big inspo from Witchcraft Shelby tho, her cape is everything to me <3

Katherine was very fun to concept too, very straightforward! I combined most of the outfits for her reference while also making it a biiit more pirate themed, but in general I quite like it :> silly gfs <3

Finally, a SPOILER! While act one gets cooked, I have a lot of plans for act two. So out of context, here’s concept art for Scott and Pearl! Scott’s dress is just his empires season two outfit with added stars and a circlet with flowers, but Pearl? That’s on me >:D inspired by her empires outfit, just fully black. The veil came to me in an instant, it just works, both practically and design-wise!

Anyway, here’s to act one being steadily worked on! I cannot wait to show you all what sort of plans I have for this AU. It’s been such a fantastic time!
