Gross haematuria: - Person can see blood in the urine
Microscopic haematuria: - Person cannot see blood in the urine, it can be seen by a microscope.
 Causes
The most common causes of haematuria include
Infections in bladder, kidney, and prostate, vigorous exercise, menstruation, endometriosis, trauma
Serious causes of haematuria include
Bladder or kidney cancer, blood-clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, nephritic syndromes
Haematuria is most commonly seen in?
The person who affects with an enlarged prostate, Urinary stones, strenuous exercise, bacterial or viral infection, and having a family history of kidney disease.
 Symptom
People with gross haematuria has a urine colour that looks like pink, red, or brown. A small amount of blood in the urine can change colour. Other symptoms of gross haematuria are blood clots in urine that can cause pain in the bladder or pain in the back.
People with microscopic haematuria usually doesn't have any symptoms.
 Treatment and Test
Treatment depends on the nature of illness which has to be evaluated.
To find how the blood passing of urine doctor might ask you for the urine sample this helps to find out how blood passing in urine due to kidney disease, infection or other problem.
Health care professionals diagnose haematuria with a urine test called a urinalysis.

Dietary Advice for Kidney Stones
kidney stone
A kidney stone is a hard mass that forms from crystals in the urine.  For most people, natural chemicals in the urine keep stones from forming and causing problems.
Did you know that 1 in 10 people have kidney stones over the course of a lifetime?
Dietary Advice to Stone forms
Drink plenty of fluid
This includes the following fluid such as water, coffee, and lemonade which have been shown to have a beneficial effect with the exception of grapefruit juice and soda. This helps to produce less concentrated urine and ensure a good urine volume of at least 2.5L/day
Limit foods with high oxalate content
Spinach, chocolate, wheat bran, nuts, tea, and rhubarb this food should be eliminated from your diet intake
Eat enough dietary calcium
Three servings of dairy per day will help lower the risk of calcium stone formation. Eat with meals.
Avoid extra calcium supplements
Calcium supplements should be individualized by your physician and registered kidney dietician
Eat a moderate amount of protein
High protein intakes may cause kidneys to excrete more calcium, therefore, this may cause a higher occurrence of kidney stones
Avoid high salt intake
High sodium intake will increase calcium in the urine which this may also increase in the risk of kidney stones occurrence
Low salt intake is also important to maintain stable blood pressure.
Avoid high doses of vitamin C supplements
It is recommended to take 60mg/day of vitamin C based on the US Dietary Reference Intake

PHIMOSIS
Phimosis is defined as the inability to retract the skin (foreskin or prepuce) covering the head (glans) of the penis. The tip of the penis appears as a tight ring or a rubber band preventing from retraction.
It is of two types
Physiological phimosis
Children are born with tight foreskin during birth and separation occurs naturally around 2-4 years of age. This condition is normal in infants.
Pathological Phimosis
The phimosis occurs due to repeated inflammation retraction of the foreskin leading to bleeding, scarring, and infection.
Symptoms
If there is a painful ballooning or difficulty during urination then it advised for the treatment.
Diagnosis and Evaluation
Phimosis leads to penile irritation or bleeding, painful urination and erections, ballooning of foreskin with pain and difficulty during urination, urinary retention, recurrent infections, paraphimosis and urinary tract infections which require treatment.
Treatment
1] Gentle Daily Manual retraction.
2) Topical ointment
3) Circumcision - This is the surgical removal of the foreskin.

Penile Cancer
Penile cancer, or cancer of the penis, is a relatively rare cancer that targets the skin and tissues of the penis. Its target’s the good cells in the penis and change them into cancerous, and they develop in huge number i.e. cancers cells begin to grow out of control, forming a tumour, this cancer spreads to each and every part of the body includes glands, lymph nodes and other organs
There are several types of penile cancer:
Squamous cell: This makes 95% of penile cancer cases. It usually starts at the penile skin/glans
Sarcoma: In this case, cancers form in tissues like muscle, blood vessels, and fat.
Melanoma: This cancer starts in the cells that give skin colour.
Basal cell carcinoma: These cancers start deeper in the skin. They grow slowly but they won't spread to other areas of your body.
 Cancer Causes and Risk Factors
·        Using tobacco products.
·        Having poor personal hygiene.
·        Weakened immune system because of HIV or AIDS
 Symptoms of Penile Cancer
Change in penis skin is the most common symptom of penile cancer. They can show up on the foreskin of men, on the penis tip or on the shaft.
·        A lump on your penis and under the skin
·        Change in skin thickness or colour
·        Swelling at the end of your penis
·        A rash or small crusty bump on your penis; it can look like an unhealed scab (or) Non-healing penile ulcer.
 Penile Cancer Diagnosis
Firstly, the physical exam is done to test whether you have the signs of penile cancer.
Biopsy: The doctor takes a small sample of tissue from the skin on your penis to test whether it’s a cancer cell. Imaging tests, CT scans, and MRI. These look inside your body for tumours or other signs that cancer has spread.

Bladder cancer
The bladder is the organ in the body that holds urine. Every year, approximately 45,000 men and 17,000 women are diagnosed with the disease bladder cancers.
Stages of bladder cancer
Stage 1 bladder cancer hasn’t spread past the mucosal lining of the bladder.
Stage 2 bladder cancer spread past the lining of the bladder, but it hasn’t reached a layer of muscle in the bladder.
Stage 3 bladder cancer spread to the muscle in the bladder.
Stage 4 cancer spread into the tissues that surround the bladder.
Stage 5 bladder cancer spread past the bladder to the neighbouring organs of the body.
Symptoms of bladder cancer
·         Blood in the urine
·        Frequent urination
·        Urgent urination
·        Pain in the abdominal area
Causes of bladder cancer
Bladder cancer develops when cells in the bladder grow abnormally. These cells form a tumour
 Causes of bladder cancer include
·        Smoking and using tobacco
·        Occupational exposure to chemical
·        Past radiation exposure
·        Chronic irritation
·        Parasitic infections
 Diagnosis
·         Diagnosis of bladder cancer using one or more of the following method Urinalysis
·        Cystoscopy: inserting a narrow tube that has a small camera on it, through your urethra to see  inside your bladder
·        Biopsy: Remove a sample of tissue and tested to look for signs of cancer.
·        CT scan / MRI to view the bladder

Step 2: slowly this cancer will start spreading into muscles of bladder that is called inessive disorder/inessive cancer, but in this step cancer will not reach/attach other glands.
Step 3: in this stage it starts spreading although the muscles of fatty layers of tissues around bladder
Step 4:  The tumour has grown into the peri vesical tissue or has spread to the prostate, uterus, or vagina, but has not spread to the lymph nodes or other organs
·        Step 5: in this step it starts growing/spreading started in lymph nodes and other parts
Step 6: in this stage the tumour go through every glands and tissues of urinary parts completely
·        Step 7: slowly it reaches to abdominal parts.
·        Step 8: This tumour spreads other organs in the body.
 Types of bladder cancer
3 Types of bladder cancer include:
·        Urothelial carcinoma. It is also called transitional cell carcinoma, attack the cells inside the bladder, this cell expands when urine is there compress when urine is let out. This cancer is the common type of bladder cancer

DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY
Diabetes is the most silent and devastating health issue which, if neglected can lead to many long-term complications like Diabetic nephropathy (affecting kidneys), cardiovascular diseases affecting the heart, Diabetic retinopathy (affecting the eyes), Diabetic neuropathy (affecting the nervous system) etc.
Among the diabetic complications, Kidney disease is a major complication as it can lead to end-stage kidney disease requiring dialysis or kidney transplantation.
How does Diabetes hurt or affect my Kidneys?
The main job of the kidneys is to filter wastes and extra water out of the blood to make urine. Kidneys also help control blood pressure and produce hormones that your body needs to stay healthy.
Kidneys have minute blood vessels that aid in filtering the blood. High blood sugar levels can make these vessels become narrow and clogged leading to decreased filtration capacity, causing the excretion of albumin (a type of protein) through urine. If diabetes is uncontrolled for prolonged periods, it leads to high blood pressure, which can further damage the kidneys.
Loss of protein in the urine is one of the foremost symptoms of kidney disease. If the corrective measures are not taken at this stage, it can progress over the few years leading to irreversible damage to the kidneys.
Diabetic Nephropathy Symptoms
·        High blood pressure
·        Protein in the urine
·        Ankle/Leg swelling
·        Excessive urination, especially during the night-time
Diagnostic Tests to screen for Diabetic Nephropathy:
·        Urinalysis (test to detect the presence of protein in urine)
·        Complete Urine Examination (CUE).
·        Serum Creatinine.
·        Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR)
·        Urine Albumin Creatinine Ratio
How to Prevent Diabetic Nephropathy
·        Control on Diabetes, Blood pressure, Cholesterol levels.
·        Avoiding High protein diet and strict adherence to Diet chart
·        Regular screening for diabetic nephropathy.
·        Lifestyle modifications like smoking cessation, weight control, avoiding consumption of alcohol, and adequate exercise.
