This is for anyone who can use a sign of Spring or a bit of cheer, and I suspect there are a few of us out there. The hill behind our house has been naturalized with these daffodils, a gift from a previous farmer who wanted to see a cheerful flower at the end of winter. #nature #spring #gardeners #gardenlovers #naturelovers #gardenersofinstagram #gardenideas #wellness #health #healthylife #benefitsofnature

It's a bit of a dichotomy. As landscape designers, we inherently attempt to order nature - to bring it into some kind of designed aesthetic, whatever that may be. We think about how people will move through the space, how they will use the area, what they will feel as they experience the design. It's an exercise in ordering nature. And yet, part of the beauty of landscape is that it is always changing. Plants grow as they will, not always as we want them to. Seeds drop in on the wind, animals make homes in the shrubs, and ultimately, that unique combination of elements we could never plan for helps give a garden its own special atmosphere. Here's to giving up that need to control the end result and relish the unexpected beauty nature brings. #wildbeauty #nature #gardeners #naturelovers #gardenersofinstagram #gardenideas #gardenlovers #wellness #health #healthylife #benefitsofnature
