As the weather gets warmer, I'm starting to MISS the era of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 1.

i think what most team jere people don’t get is (most) of us do NOT DISLIKE JERE and we also DO NOT believe that him and belly don’t have a special bond !!

jere and belly have the sweetest bond in the entire world and always will but as proven in the books they work SEAMLESSLY as best friends, so perfect it’s scary, what we also see is how that is not the case for them in a committed relationship but in the books it’s clear that’s part of his drive for pursuing belly in a romantic way bc she was his #1 person and he hated that she was so in love w con

they have a pure and youthful bond that i’m so so envious of and a seriously scary understanding of one another (hello esp !) (“i could just read belly”) but that does not mean jere should be her boyfriend over con, why not keep the iconic friend bond that works SO well for them

my other issue is that there is NO reason belly should be in a relationship w jere when she was never going to stop being in love with conrad sure she tried to let him go to make a better choice for herself but still confessed to loving conrad several different times while being w jere and that is their downfall it will always. be. conrad. always. however that doesn’t mean that jeremiah and belly aren’t literally soulmates bc they are they absolutely will always be connected and special to one another and it’s ok to celebrate that without thinking belly should be romantically involved with him

just a thought i had bc it seems like lost can’t separate loving jere and belly’s bond with thinking that would work perfect as a couple

it does kind of seem like a soul mate (jere) and twin flame (con) kinda thing though lol
