~MY HERO ACADEMIA FIC RECS PART 1~

If I die (will you be the one to push me off the roof ?) by Hoco_Koen (oneshot // 5k)

Bakugou Katsuki is many things, but he's not a liar. So when they ask : "Did you tell Midoriya to kill himself ?" When they ask, he says yes.

TW: Major Character Death, Suicide, Bullying, Stalking, Abuse, Murder.

Genre: Hurt No Comfort, Angst

Bakugou Katsuki-centric.

This was so deliciously sad, oh my god. Beautifully written and had a very bittersweet tone to it throughout the fic. The ending made me openly gasp and a complete 10/10.

2. Our echoes, they are deafening by underfallingstars (oneshot // 6k)

“Shinsou, I dare you to kiss the most attractive person in the room.” Bakugou knows Shinsou would choose him, if he gave him the chance. He doesn't.

This?? was so cute?? A bit angsty, a bit sweet. Made my heart throb, I loved it.

3. stitch me up by kae_karo (twoshot // 36k)

Much to his chagrin, both- what, halves? It’s as good a term as any, he supposes. Both halves of Todoroki stand side by side, staring at him in the most irritating and unnerving way. -- todo gets split into his two quirk halves and katsuki has to Deal With It

TodoBaku.

Absolutely brilliant. Idea? Brilliant. Execution? Brilliant. As a todobaku enthusiast, this hit the EXACT spots that needed to be hit. 10/10, will read again. The way both the halfs were portrayed was utter GENIUS.

4. Tales of unlikely brotherhood by mentallypapaya (Incomplete // currently at 6k)

Five times the class didn't get the Kacchan-Deku dynamic, and the one time they started figuring it out. // "So that was fucking weird, right?" Kirishima checked, pointing at the door they'd just left through. The other occupants of the room nodded in agreement. "I don't think I've ever seen those two have a conversation that didn't end in Midoriya's physical health taking a hit before." Todoroki muttered, head tilting to the side. "It is very odd," Tokoyami agreed. "Could that simply be what happens when Bakugou neglects his sleep schedule?" Kaminari shook his head. "I don't think so, we've been with him all day. He's mostly been normal, apart from just ignoring the shit out of us. I think Mido's the first person he actually responded to." "This is so weird," Kirishima reiterated.

There is a lack of platonic bakudeku fics out there, just saying. And this fic is the perfect example of how many more fics we need.

5. lol get rekt endeavor by Saccha (oneshot // 4k)

"How do you feel about your father becoming the number one hero?" "He'll always be number two in my heart." In which Todoroki Touya grows up to be a hero, and channels his anger into pettiness instead of villainy.

TW: Implied/Referenced Child Abuse

Genre: Crack, Light Angst, Humour

Gen, Todoroki Touya-centric.

Beautiful. I love petty characters and this fic filled the petty meter 100%. The angst was also really well-done and ofc, the Todoroki family deserved better. Not Endeavour tho. Burn in hell to him.

Multishipper challenge: Fox

hm I will sound bored, but I don't have so many couples for Fox that are different from the fandom lol.

Wolfox, a little bit of frystal, falox, foxara? (fox x fara).

But this is a question, and I can give one of each:

Wolfox: I've already talked a lot about this ship uuuh ago? last sunday or monday? I do not remember well, but I have already given some reasons why it was my favorite ship before and now I reduced it to "my favorite ship angst hero x rival". The dynamic between the brave, confident and young spirit Fox McCloud, with the rude, stubborn and aggressive Wolf O'donnell. Where their strengths and abilities are compared as mercernaries, pilots or soldiers of their different sides in the Lylat system. A distressing and guilty relationship that neither knows whether there will be a happy ending or not, but that both know that they can fight together when time will tell, in addition to protecting themselves in secret.

Frystal: Now this is the part that some fans are going to want to stab at me, but I'm not such a fan of Canon Fox x Krystal in the games. I already mentioned that I don't remember much or not much of assault and command, but hell I can't remember anything nice about those two and their interaction in both games.

I can forgive Adventure frystal. Krystal was perhaps somewhat rude to Fox in rescuing her at the end, but the despair of saving her ass for Andross shit is acceptable because her reaction ... I don't know why I mention this, but you can still notice her brave and warrior side, and despite that Fox acts as a fifteen-year-old teenager, he is still the brave and strong young mercernary we saw in previous games. Plus, I understand that Fox has fallen in love with Krystal with love at first sight. Love at first sight is common. So I don't complain much about that relationship within the game.

But then we have Assault, where they decide to make Fox bored and a Krystal obsessed with him. And even though she wants to help him, Fox only lowers her to stay away from missions and be a good girl. And of course, Fox in this game has taken away his personality as a pleasant leader and make him blush and continue acting like a teenager in love but in a ridiculous way towards her.

And Command .... again, I can't remember so much about the game, except how I hated how repudiable the characters were at certain times and wasted a perfect opportunity with Dash and Andrew.

.... okay, I'm doing a huge vent, but I better make clear my idea and concept of both as a couple and because I match them despite my dislike in the canon of SF.

I'd rather see them more like a mix of Dinosaur planet! Krystal and 64 / zero / starlink Fox mccloud. Mixed with some original elements of their personalities and relationship within the game.

Fox would remain the born and charismatic leader, who loves his team as a family and will always be kind to everyone who needs it, however, he cannot hide all negative feelings or thoughts forever, causing future social problems. Meanwhile, Krystal would be the warrior woman, determined and daring of her first version, but with maternal elements (maturation, kindness, understanding) and loving of her canon version. Fox and Krystal protect each other, fight together despite their inner fear of losing each other, and when there are no missions or war in between, the two are going to have pleasant moments living in Papetoon along with Peppy and Lucy. There is also the possibility that Krystal will be the first to see Fox's emotional state, and he will always be careful that his beloved is happy and not feel different.

Basically, it is a more stable and ... less disastrous relationship between them as in assault or command, although it does not mean there will be problems in between. None is perfect, and no relationship is either.

OKAY IM SORRY FOR VENT ASSAULT AND COMMAND, OKAY???

Falox: what can I say about this couple? Fox is basically the charismatic and pleasant side to the social image of the Starfox team. Brave, safe and heroic. Falco on the other hand, is an opposite image: the rough, rebellious and strong side of the team. Combined between the two, it forms an interesting dynamic between an order and rebellion, that although sometimes Falco does not follow the orders of Fox and Fox does not listen to his bitter friend, there is loyalty and care in both. Even the good moments I remember from Command, even if Fox acts like a stupid to break up with Krystal, Falco does not turn away from him to see how they are betrayed and see how his friend and leader is discouraged by the horrible surprise. Falco does not leave at that time, Falco decides to accompany Fox and cheer him up ... and then become racers of ship races ... okay.

But there is nothing more fun and enjoyable than seeing two boyfriends, one being more serene and charismatic, and the other as a rebellious and rude figure, but in the middle of that relationship there is trust and loyalty (when merited) and love.

(This was my vague point, I apologize :,) )

Foxara : Basically, Fox and Fara. Fox's first girlfriend. A daring, charismatic and brave girl like him. Fox has never wanted to get him out of his way and enjoys fighting by his side, and Fara will always follow her boyfriend even in the craziest moments. And there is a clear desire for care, trust and love between the two. Maybe I am not so crazy about this couple, but their concept attracts me, and I want to think more about them in the future.

And finally, I would say Fox x Andrew but, I have already talked about that secret couple in an old post :)
