Idol AU?! Who all is involved?

okay so me and @max-iwtaco have been brainrotting about it yesterday but we're trying to include as many characters as we can think of XD

THIS ASK HAS BEEN SITTING IN MY DRAFTS FOR MONTHS NOW I THINK. ANYWAY

i wanted amy to be the main character bc like. look at her...

but okay so let me summarize what we talked about

-sonic and shadow both debuted when they were very young under competing labels. sonic does a lot of solo singing and rapping stuff, plays guitar, and dances (he specialized in breakdancing which is poggers), meanwhile shadow sings (he can do screamo if he wants. as a treat) and dances (he specializes more in interpretive type dance). theyve always been rivals, releasing albums around the same time and fighting for all the awards and stuff. and dont get me started on idol sports champio ships-

-so amy's dream has been to be an idol, and she took a lot of inspiration from sonic!! so she uses her tarot cards like in canon and it tells her to audition for the same label as sonic is under (tho im debating what to call it) and she does and makes it in!!!

-eggman runs a company. the one that team dark is under. team dark is a band with shadow on vocals and bass, rouge on vocals and electric guitar, and omega on drums. lets just say they have to buy new drums every performance.

-sonic also has a band with knuckles and tails, where he plays guitar, tails is on synthesizer, and knuckles is on drums.

-amy becomes a soloist but cream comes to all of her shows. she has special permission backstage to see her and be her emotional support. also they sometimes let cream on stage to sing a little song and the audience loves it. cream also has a kazoo

-knuckles's dad used to be the head of their company but knuckles inherited it. or something

-tails is a HUGE music theory nerd. he loves math rock

-amy dabbles in music composition (bc im projecting)

-tails and sonic knew each other since they were little and sonic would play guitar for him and tails started learning bc of him and then he got REALLY into music theory and became a big nerd. sonic cant actually read sheet music lmao

-sonic joined the company under the condition that tails joins with him and tails was so cute that they couldnt say no

-since knuckles takes care of the whole company now he doesn't actually perform concerts that often but when he does the audience goes WILD. you never know when youre gonna see knuckles. it's a gamble every time. on the times knuckles cant come play drums big will come to play instead

-big doesnt ever actually show upto practice bc hes too busy fishing. he just shows up and plays the concert and then he's gone again. froggy plays the cymbal

-froggy gets put on the concert posters and big doesnt bc big just shows up. froggy is the star of the show

-sonic raps while knuckles beatboxes. tails tries to rap and its adorable

-cream is the first to listen to amy's demos and comes to support her at the recording studio

-this quote from Max: "ALLSO she would give advice like "everything sounded VERY COOL but it would be even cooler if you added like DUMM DU DUMMM YDHVVJ TXFHVJJV at the end""

-blaze does classical music and plays the violin. silver does techno style stuff. they collab a lot and sound amazing together

-silver is super into composing and posts his stuff on bandcamp. he's not under any labels or anything

Summary : Sakura put her head in her hands as a sharp pain ran through her. She had never felt this. It was as if her head was going to explode from too much information. Thousands of images raced through her head. She lowered her hands and opened her eyes. She remembered everything. Her name was Rose Tyler and she had regenerated.

The Doctor ran as fast as he could. The ship was heading straight towards a black hole, with about ten people on board. He had thought about all the possibilities and he had found a single solution. He had to gather everyone in one part of the ship and separate the other part to prevent the black hole from sucking them in entirely. But for that, someone had to stay at the risk of being sucked in. Only he could do it. But he would not have thought that Rose would knock him out to take his place.

He did not know how long he had been unconscious, but he had to hurry before it was too late. He had just reunited with her, after all these centuries without her. He had lost Amy, Rory and River, but Rose had reappeared in his life. She was no longer human. The TARDIS had changed something in her so she could not age anymore and she could not die.

For the first time in years, he was happy. They could finally live together forever. But things had not gone as it should and they were going to be separated again. He arrived at the heart of the ship, where it had to split in two. The door was closed. He tried to open it with his sonic screwdriver, but he could not opened it. Rose must have blocked it. He saw her through the glass of the door and he knocked with all his might.

“Rose !” He shouted. “Rose, open the door !” “No way,” she said, making the final adjustments to the central computer. “You won’t sacrifice yourself.” “Don't worry, I'll find a way to get back. But I'm begging you, open that door.”

Rose approached the glass.

“Promise me you won't stop running. You have to travel, find companions and show them the universe. The universe needs you.”

He did not care about the universe, he thought. All that mattered was getting Rose to safety. She put her hand on the glass and the Doctor imitated her. He begged her to discard the idea. Rose smiled, despite the tears streaming down her cheeks.

“The stars will always lead me to you,” she said.

Without taking her eyes off him, she pointed her sonic screwdriver she had made in Pete's world at the computer and the ship split in two. The Doctor felt helpless. All he could do was watching Rose get sucked in the black hole while the part of the ship he was in drifted away.

After getting the entire crew to safety, the Doctor returned to the TARDIS. Why keep helping the universe, he thought bitterly, when the universe was taking everyone he loved from him.

Sakura lay down on the ground and watched the stars. The sky was clear and the stars sparkled brilliantly. She had always liked watching them. They soothed and comforted her. As far as she could remember, the stars had always brought her this feeling of well-being. When she was a child, she wanted to travel across the universe so she could visit distant galaxies. She was convinced that it was possible and she was still convinced of it.

Naruto lay down next to her. Sakura looked at him and smiled. He had had an arm transplant four months ago and he had insisted on going on a mission with Sakura. It was a simple two-day mission, but Sakura was happy to spend time with her best friend.

“Still watching at the stars,” he teased gently. “I find them comforting.” “Do you still believe you can travel to the stars ?”

Sakura laughed lightly and she patted his shoulder. Naruto could not help wincing.

“Stop making fun of me.”

But she was convinced that something was about to change. Something important that could change her life. After returning from the mission, Sakura had the strange feeling that she was drawing to the stars more and more. As if they were calling her. Every day, she felt like her brain was assimilating new knowledge, things she had never learned. At night, she had strange dreams. She dreamed of unknown creatures and distant planets. But some things were recurring. A blue box that was bigger on the inside and a man with different faces. One day, while she was sleeping, the name of that man came to her mind.

“Doctor !” Sakura called waking up suddenly.

She put her head in her hands as a sharp pain ran through her. She had never felt this. It was as if her head was going to explode from too much information. Thousands of images raced through her head. London, Powell Estate, Jacky, Mickey, the Doctor, the TARDIS, Bad Wolf, Pete's world, John, her reunion with the Doctor, the black hole.

Sakura lowered her hands and opened her eyes. She remembered everything. Her name was Rose Tyler and when she was being sucked in the black hole, she had regenerated. It was the only explanation she had. She would never have thought that Bad Wolf could do this. She had landed in Konoha as a baby. The Harunos had found her under the cherry blossoms and had named her Sakura. But unlike the Doctor, she had no memory of her past life until today. Sakura remembered the feeling she had that things were about to change. But she would never have believed in this kind of change.

Several weeks had passed and Sakura had only one idea in mind, to find the Doctor. But she had no way to contact him. Ever since she had regained her memory, she had been trying to build a device that might be able to send a signal to the TARDIS. She knew it would be complicated and it would take her time. But she was sure of one thing. No matter how many times they were apart, they would always meet again.

The Doctor lowered the throttle, but the TARDIS would not listen and did exactly as she pleased. They were heading to an unknown destination deep in the universe and that worried the Doctor. There was a violent jolt and she fell to the floor. She did not understand what was going on. The TARDIS suddenly stopped and the Doctor walked towards the screen. She opened her eyes wide as she read the instructions. Her hearts were pounding so hard she thought they would explode.

It was impossible. She did a new check and the result was the same. Rose was there. On the other side of the door. She remembered that fateful day when Rose had disappeared. There was no way she survived. But maybe… The Doctor felt hope rise in her. Maybe Rose was still alive. After all, it was not the first time that she thought she would not see her again and Rose miraculously reappeared in her life.

The Doctor only knew that she was in a village called Konoha, on a planet similar to Earth but which was millions of light years from where the black hole had been.

The Doctor ran out of the TARDIS. She was in front of a building that was being demolished. She stepped inside and nearly lost her balance when she felt a violent jolt. She arrived in a completely demolished hallway.

“What happened here ?” She wondered.

The floor shook again and the Doctor saw a figure running towards her. It was a young woman, but it was not Rose. She had pink hair and when she arrived in front of the Doctor, she could see her big green eyes.

“You mustn't stay here,” she said. “Run !”

She took her hand and they ran off. This took the Doctor back several centuries when she met Rose. This girl was not Rose, yet she felt the same warmth and sweetness in her hearts. The Doctor looked behind her and she saw two Cybermen. They left the building and the pink haired let go of her hand. The Doctor felt a void, but she came to her senses when the pink haired hit the ground with her fist and the building collapsed.

“Wow !” The Doctor exclaimed. “Impressive.”

The woman grinned from ear to ear.

“Thanks.”

She looked towards the ruined building.

“I must have miscalculated,” she muttered. “The Cybermen should not have heard my call.”

The Doctor watched her. She had spoken far too softly and she had not understood what she had just said. She did not look like Rose. But she knew it was her. Everything in her knew it was Rose. Maybe she had regenerated. After all, there's still a lot she did not know about Bad Wolf.

“Is everything alright ?” She asked, noticing the Doctor watching her. “Yes, it is.”

The Doctor grinned from ear to ear. Suddenly, another Cyberman came towards them. The Doctor walked over to the building's electrical panel. The electrical wires were down. She ran her sonic over the panel. When the Cyberman would step on the wires, he would be electrocuted, she thought. But they had to leave quickly, it was also dangerous for them.

“Let's go,” the Doctor said.

She took her hand and the girl followed her without asking questions. They entered the TARDIS. The Doctor walked to the dashboard, while her guest looked around.

“It's…” she began. “It's bigger on the inside,” the Doctor continued.

She approached the Doctor, smiling.

“I knew you would hear my call.” “Rose,” the Doctor smiled. “From now on, my name is Sakura.”

Another flower name, the Doctor thought.

“What do you think about it ?” Sakura asked. “Is that a good or bad difference ?” “A good difference,” she answered, she had never been so happy.

Sakura took her hand and squeezed it.

“The stars will always lead me to you.”

This sentence which had caused her so much pain, now made her happy. She took Sakura in her arms and kissed her. She was reunited with her and she did not want to spend a second away from her.

No matter what would happen. Whether her name was Rose or Sakura. She was finally with the Doctor, aboard the TARDIS, forever.

Fanfic Progress Update 161

So, Hazbin Hotel was effing NOICE :D Didn't inspire me to write so far, but we'll see how this brainrot progresses. Currently I'm at the stage where I watch the musical parts 15 million times a day, the next stage is usually reading fanfics written by others, and the next one is writing if I fail to find what I'm looking for or just feel like it. Again, we'll see. On other news, stay tuned for the last sneak-peek for A Sign that you're important at the bottom of this post!

A Sign that you're important

Fandom: Sonic the Hedgehog, movieverse

Summary: One month upon his assigment as Doctor Robotnik's assitant, Agent Stone is told to learn sign language. He doesn't know why, and isn't suicidal enough to ask, so he simply rolls with it. Turns out, it's not just a whimsy of the eccentric doctor, even though that doesn't stop the doctor from utilizing it like one.

Progress: Chapter 5 was posted on 18th of January. The last chapter will be posted on 25th of January aka the next Thursday. Chapter 6 is a bit over halfway written, so cutting it a little close here, but I'll get it done in time. The biggest problem will be the chapter title tbh. I have a placeholder title (the old title for chapter 5 actually), but it's not perfect, so I'll need to brainstorm at some point, which is hopefully not on Thursday right as I'm posting it XD;

Maybe it said something about Agent Stone - and probably not good things - that the poster in the cafeteria's pin board piqued his interest more than any of his official assignments had for a good long while.

Dr. Robotnik, huh?

Progress: This one will be part one of a two-parter longfic, the first part probably... 10-ish chapters? It's a bit hard to estimate at this point, so the number is subject to change - will probably end up being increased tbh. My weekly writing hour (as in, a specific hour when I sit down and write, no excuses [other than not being home]) is devoted to this fic.

I have the first five chapters done. Chapter 6 is 1/3 written.

I also have two halfway written chapters that don't yet know their exact placement within the fic (they're scenes that will be slotted in to wherever they feel natural, once the fic is ready for them.)

Maybe it would have been better if he had never been able to talk with Knuckles. He could have just dropped the renegade red rascal at the hedgehog’s home to do whatever it was he had assumed Knuckles wanted – he had assumed punching, ripping some quills, and moving on, if he had had to hazard a guess when he had been unable to hear – and been none the wiser about the Master Emerald. He could have been content about the hedgehog getting some much deserved use as a punching bag and moved on with his own plans. Getting to Stone, kissing him silly, freshening up, eating actual food, getting a good night’s sleep in an actual bed (preferably with Stone in it), getting acquaintanced with the cafe lab, and making plans for further actions in the morning. Plans that likely would have involved checking up on the hedgehog to see if there was anything left to salvage in the wreck for science, and whether further revenge was necessary. Getting to his secret lab. Considering negotiations for his re-employment with the government – he had done nothing wrong, he had been acting on their orders to find out what had caused the blackout and he had been given the leave to deal with it in any way he deemed necessary.

Yo, so- augh- your Sonic as a tagger post has been living in my head and I've gotten obsessed. I've gotta ask this: Since Sonic and Shadow are foils, if Sonic is into tagging... would Shadow be the kind of person who does the bigass murals on the subway cars and under the overpasses then? Like his point is also to be seen (if only by a few, if he really goes into deep tunnels and odd little areas) but distinctly NOT in the same way Sonic and his tagging are to be seen? (Also, what other headcanons do you have? I'm super curious <3)

(a follow up to my graffiti headcanon)

First of all, I want to apologize because this ask got stuck in my huge pile of drafts I keep on this blog for all my brainrot. So I'm deeply sorry about that.

Second of all, I want to apologize again because I see Shadow as a foil. . . in the way that he doesn't see the point of graffiti much at all. I just don't think he could ever bring himself to do it.

I think he would hold respect for the huge pieces thrown up on subway cars and overpasses, but perhaps it would bother him somewhat- why would someone devote so much time and attention to something that is ultimately unwanted? Something that will just be painted over in a matter of weeks or months? It's just so. . . ephemeral. If he had things his way, he'd preserve every large mural like that in a museum.

Meanwhile, though, he'd probably find tagging unbearably arrogant. What right do you have to ruin a public space with your scribble, Sonic? He'd consider himself above such "attention-seeking" behavior. The sense of community and the thrill of not getting caught don't hold much appeal to him. He's spent his entire life hiding parts of himself; he doesn't need something new to cover up.

But I do think that Shadow likes creating art, and is his own personal art inspired by graffiti style? Absolutely. A small part of him does appreciate the freedom and rebelliousness in the style, along with the emphasis on individual identity. Sonic would probably discover his sketches and go "yo, we should slap these on some stickers!", but Shadow would rather die than ever actually post anything anywhere.

So... I've been on a massive Kirby brainrot ever since the release of Kirby & the Forgotten Land (which combined with a Metroid brainrot I already had since the announcement of Metroid Dread, so you can imagine what kind of horrifying chaos my brain has been for the last few months, but that's another story). In that unenviable situation (depending on your point of view), I had this wacky idea of how I'd like Tails's story to go once Sonic Frontiers gets all of its DLC this year.

[If songs from outside the Sonic series are mentioned, they're supposed to be taken only as an inspiration.]

Tails's moveset could bring back his skills from Sonic Battle. A few of them (namely the Magic Upper and the Flick) imply he can summon small Warp Rings to make more efficient use of some of his inventions. It could also let Tails have a dedicated Dodge move or even be able to parry enemy mêlée attacks with his tails, as well as making him able to do combos. Sonic Frontiers already has those combos, but only for Sonic for now; besides, before the game's announcement, I was already thinking of something with much more hand-to-hand combat and mêlée weapons, perhaps inspired by Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance or Advent NEON or Bayonetta, rather than relying on ranged attacks or other actions from a distance (in short: if Sonic's gameplay focuses more on "travel speed", Tails's gameplay should differentiate from Sonic's by focusing more on "combat speed").

He fights easier versions of the Titans, but each fight against them is followed by a battle inside his own mind where he fights some nightmarish creature representing his inner demons: his own fears, flaws and limitations. These "special bosses" aren't towering constructs inspired by Evangelion, like the Titans from the base game; instead, they're smaller, meant to be fought "one versus one" rather than being a seemingly very unequal "David vs Goliath" fight, heavily based upon special bosses in Fark's Story of Spark the Electric Jester 1, and they periodically switch between two forms: one of them is essentially a Mobian but much more agile, harder to hit and more unpredictable, and the other one looks like your average Kirby Soul enemy (I told you I was in a middle of a brainrot) and is pretty easy to hit but uses overwhelming attacks that barely leave space to dodge them; the Mobian-like form of each special boss looks like one of Tails's friends and also uses a few attacks from their moveset.

Additional notes: The battle music for these unique bosses would be, of course, "Special Boss" from Spark the Electric Jester 1. When defeated, right before Tails is taken back to the real world, each one of them briefly reveals a magenta gemstone with the form of a Platonic solid: one is a tetrahedron, one is a cube, and one is an octahedron.

Tails's body, just like Sonic's, gets corrupted during the story, but unlike the hedgehog, he doesn't bottle his feelings or even try to stay optimistic, instead openly expressing how much he hates this whole situation. At some point, after helping so many Kocos basically go to the afterlife, having to do all this with no help from Sonic or any of his friends, and having to deal with Sage being like "You're making a mistake" but refusing to elaborate, Tails can't take it anymore: he goes on a whole-ass rant where he just starts insulting everyone and everything, admits not to understand why he's the one having to save the world this time instead of Sonic, wishes to simply go back to his life before arriving to Starfall Islands, and ultimately gives up, lying on the ground, looking up at the sky and eventually falling asleep, no longer caring about the corruption that slowly but steadily consumes his body.

During a dream, he fights another special boss, one that isn't linked to any of the Titans and looks and moves a lot like Shadow but also includes modified versions of a few attacks from the moveset of a certain jackal from a previous Sonic game. When defeated, the magenta gemstone briefly looks like an icosahedron, only to quickly morph into a great stellated dodecahedron and later take Shadow's form. As the background clears itself and stabilizes, this apparition of Shadow —based upon Tails's memories of him— encourages the fox to follow Sonic's example, not give up and also remember his friends are still supporting him and willing to help him however they can.

When Tails is about to die from his body's corruption, his friends cure him and restore his body at the cost of their physical forms, just like in the original story. However, Tails doesn't accept losing his friends again and having to keep fighting alone, so he decides to "kick the playing board": when the de-corruption process is almost complete, he goes Super, uses his powers to create a Warp Ring that leads to Angel Island, and uses that Warp Ring to directly touch the Master Emerald with his hand and go Hyper; recalling what Tikal had said about the power of Chaos (that it comes from the soul and turns thoughts into reality), he brings Sonic, Knuckles and Amy Rose back from the Cyber World with no side effects, although this consumes all of Hyper Tails's power and makes him fall back to his base form. Later, the battle against Supreme has the entire quartet working together to defeat the Titan, with Sonic eventually going Super and dealing the coup de grâce; when Tails has to fight within his mind the special boss linked to Supreme —which uses a deadly combination of the best of Sonic's and Tails's movesets—, he surprisingly receives Sonic's help and both of them defeat the special boss together.

Additional notes: When Sonic intervenes in Tails's special boss fight, "Special Boss" from Spark TEJ 1 is replaced by "Live & Learn". The mysterious gemstone of this special boss is revealed to be a dodecahedron when it's defeated.

Right before the final battle, Sage warns Tails about a possible great threat he might have to face while she and Sonic deal with The End. He finds a bright purple whirlpool-shaped portal, goes through it, and arrives at a place very similar to both Null Space and Egg Reverie. There, he meets another version of The End; this one and the one being fought by Sonic in space aren't really one and the same, since this version of The End is still a disembodied voice and seems to be from an alternate universe. "The Other End" tells Tails that it will send him to face three powerful enemies in environments made ad hoc by it for each of those battles, and he shall defeat them in order to ensure Sonic's success against his own universe's version of The End.

Additional notes: Background music for this pocket dimension: "L86" from Kirby: Planet Robobot.

The first enemy summoned by The Other End is Mecha Sonic Mk.2, who's also provided with a replica of the magic sword Caliburn, and the environment looks like the top platform of Sky Sanctuary during a thunderstorm with strong winds and heavy rain. In his 2nd phase, he periodically switches between his normal form and something more like the Death Egg's Red Eye (the mid-boss at the end of Death Egg 1, in Sonic 3 & Knuckles), with the light in Mecha Sonic's visor being repositioned in his chest and revealed as his main plasma cannon.

Additional notes: Mecha Sonic battle theme: "Reproduction of Darkness" from Planet Robobot. When defeated, he decays into a formless body of liquid metal and starts convulsing while saying "There can only be one Sonic" in Morse code, then says Tails's name with a robotic voice that surprisingly sounds very similar to Sonic's, before immediately dissolving into the air.

The second enemy is Perfect Chaos, and the environment is a reconstruction of Station Square's ruins during the real Perfect Chaos's rampage, including the water. The battle goes roughly the same as in Sonic Generations.

Additional notes: Perfect Chaos battle theme: "Open Your Heart"; I'd like the original version to be remixed into something rather sad or "darker", with altered lyrics, or remade as a "muddy" remix (like "Faded & Flower" in Planet Robobot, a remix of "Dirty & Beauty" from Kirby: Triple Deluxe); Circuit Freq's remix for Sonic Generations would be fitting as well. When Perfect Chaos is defeated, Tikal's voice is heard in the distance, saying "Thank you" as the water monster goes back to their base form, reunites with a bright orange hitodama and ascends to the sky.

The third enemy initially seems to be merely a giant magenta icosahedral gemstone —a bigger replica of the Phantom Ruby—, which seems to have someone sealed inside, and the environment is a simple circular arena with a bottomless pit in the centre. The gemstone rotates to point one of its vertices towards a fixed point in the void surrounding the battle arena, then the five faces that meet at that vertex open up like a flower, a cutting blast of radiation is fired from inside the gem (just like Ramiel opening up and firing its laser in the Rebuild of Evangelion movies), and this blast hits something invisible in that void, opening a fissure in the space-time fabric while an ethereal scream of agony is heard: the gemstone has just killed The Other End by actually cutting it in half and then letting it be sucked into a dimensional rift. After this, the gemstone closes again, positions itself above the hole in the centre of the arena, generates a vertical cylindrical shield and officially starts the battle against Tails.

In its 1st phase, the battle against the giant Phantom Ruby is pretty much like Phase 4-A of Star Dream Soul OS but with a few added elements from the battles against Mother Brain in Metroid 1 and Super Metroid. The Ruby summons pillars throughout the circular arena, which start moving along it; each pillar has a much smaller Phantom Ruby replica with the shape of some other regular polyhedra, which moves up and down and has to be destroyed in order to be able to get through the hole left by it; each of them also has weapons installed at the top and the base, one of them is a turret firing blaster shots, and the other is a cannon similar to the one on Mecha Sonic's chest firing energy rings (like Super Mecha Sonic when he's a couple of hits away from being defeated by Knuckles). Every time the Rubies of all pillars are destroyed, the Phantom Ruby gets rid of those damaged pillars and summons new ones, and these can also start moving in reverse or even close the distance between two of them in an attempt to crush Tails or force him to jump into the void; on the other hand, every time all pillars are neutralized, Tails can do some damage to the cylindrical shield while the Phantom Ruby is in the process of summoning new pillars. After destroying three sets of pillars —each with more of them than the last—, the 1st phase ends.

Additional notes: Phantom Ruby's 1st phase battle theme: either "Soul 0 System" from Planet Robobot, or Heart of Nova's remix "STAR NOVA SYSTEM" from SilvaGunner's album Super Star Symphony. The three sets total 20 pillars, and every time a pillar is neutralized, a needle pierces one of the faces of the Phantom Ruby. A disembodied voice (not The Other End's voice, but still familiar) does a countdown, starting at 20 at the beginning of the battle and going down as more faces of the Ruby are pierced by needles.

Once all pillars are destroyed, Tails manages to break the shield, but the giant Phantom Ruby moves higher, all the needles are removed and the Ruby opens up again (this time, the opening points upwards instead of towards the horizon) as the bottomless pit at the centre of the circular arena is covered over and made part of the arena. Crimson smoke emanates from the Phantom Ruby's exposed core and starts condensing until forming the body of a Mobian jackal: Infinite.

Infinite's moveset here is mostly just a rip-off of Galacta Knight's, including the Time-Border Great Slash Flash from Planet Robobot (opening a dimensional rift, referenced when the Phantom Ruby opens up for the 1st time and banishes/kills The Other End), but also has some stuff from the final boss fight against Raven Beak in Metroid Dread (I tried to think of a way to adapt the three actual boss fights against Infinite in Sonic Forces somehow, but two of them only work if the player's character is running, and all of them look kinda disappointing anyway).

Additional notes: Phantom Ruby's 2nd phase battle theme: any version of "The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy".

When Tails lands the last hit on Infinite, the jackal turns into crimson smoke again and vanishes, but then reappears standing on top of the giant Phantom Ruby —which has moved back to its previous height—, starting the 3rd and last phase.

The battle's 3rd phase starts with Infinite —still standing on top of the Ruby— summoning a sequence of combinations of attacks taken from different boss fights: Infinite's moveset in his own 2nd boss fight in Sonic Forces, Galacta Knight's Revolution Sword, Energy Shower and Rising Spine, and Heartful Tears from Phase 4-B of Star Dream Soul OS. This is followed by more combinations of Galacta Knight's and Star Dream Soul OS's moves, where both Infinite and the Phantom Ruby enter the circular arena and move through it —usually being on opposite sides of the arena while moving— to attack Tails directly. The first sequence of attacks can be repeated at some point as well.

Additional notes: Phantom Ruby's 3rd phase battle theme: any version of "Vagrant Keepsake of Oblivion" (itself a part of "Vagrant Counting Song of Retrospection"), including the cover made by GaMetal and the remix "R-E-P-R-O-G-R-A-M" from Super Star Symphony.

When Infinite and the Phantom Ruby are one hit away from being defeated, the jackal transforms into crimson smoke once again and re-enters the Ruby, which then goes back to the centre of the arena and starts spinning in all planes of rotation while firing several successive triangular energy blasts from all of its faces, shooting lasers from all of its vertices and sometimes even shooting cutting blasts from all of its edges (a combination of Chaos Elfilis Phase 2's Planetarium Dream Tour —which is, in turn, based on Void Termina's Crown of Evil and Obsession—, Star Dream's Fatal Error, and Star Dream Soul OS's Heartless Tears), which Tails will have to quickly dodge and/or parry while trying to get closer to the Ruby. When Tails is close enough, the attack stops and all that's left in the centre is Infinite, who has a normal-sized Phantom Ruby embedded in his chest and looks like he's embarrassed and furious but also literally boiling on the inside and about to explode. Infinite desperately summons a massive energy polearm (which would be a mix between a poleaxe, a halberd, a spontoon/partisan, a voulge or couteau-de-brèche, and other real-life polearms) and tries to finish Tails off; if the player guards successfully, Tails uses his namesakes to parry Infinite's attack and snatch the polearm from his hands, and immediately uses it to accurately strike the Phantom Ruby, killing the jackal with his own weapon.

Infinite is thrown far from the arena and stays floating in the void, then starts convulsing and bouncing across the pocket dimension's space as he becomes more unstable and the Phantom Ruby's power is closer and closer to atomize both itself and its user. Eventually, both the Phantom Ruby and Infinite explode, flooding the entire place with light and leaving no remains afterwards.

Additional notes: Music for this scene: any version of "Kirby's Triumphant Return" (of course).

Tails wakes up back in Starfall Islands, where he has an emotive reunion with Sonic and their friends after the hedgehog came back from saving the world; the fox admits to his adoptive brother that he'd rather take a break from the action for a while —and Sonic accepts this without objection and supports Tails's decision—, but also assures the hedgehog that this isn't permanent and he's now much more certain of what he can and wants to do with his life. The story ends with Sonic piloting the Tornado for the first time since the events of Sonic 3 & Knuckles as Tails takes a well-deserved rest in the plane's backseat.

Additional notes: Ending theme: either Fuhi's mash-up of versions of the credits theme from Milky Way Wishes, or GaMetal's cover of "My Friend & the Sunset".

I told myself I'd turn this into a tradition, so here I am throwing all my art in one place again.

All the art featured here is what I had on my art flash drive since that's mainly how I keep track of when I drew what.

Explanations for all the boxes under the cut:

January: Ok, so, turns out I didn't draw shit in January except a fun little doodle of Goldic (the character) fighting one of my friend's ocs. Not gonna throw it down here because it was for a friend. (I also never finished that one thing I was eluding to in the last progression post, big sadge; it would've been so funny if I finished that, or at least enough of it so I could put the other half at the start of this one)

February: Ah yes, playing Uno with Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman. The best way to spend Valentine's Day, tbh. Oh yeah, the GoldicSoulless emote also came into existence.

March: Oops, didn't draw anything. And if I did, I doubt any of it was Tumblr-worthy.

April: Oops, I did it again. I just didn't feel like drawing around that time. It was a nice art break, I guess.

May: Back to drawing and I... didn't draw much, but I did draw a redesign for Moon! ...That I never shared until now:

June: PRIDE MONTH, WOOOOOOOO- *ahem*, I drew a lot of shit in Pride Month, like: - Me holding my giant af flag made of multiple flags - Note and Symph being cute and gay - Mew and Mewtwo designs for the comic I didn't make yet - A bunch of Pikachu sketches for no reason in particular - and this as a little treat for myself since Sonic's Game Anniversary and my b-day are so close together (literally two days apart):

July: My current profile pic was drawn here, as well as a new (and currently unfinished) ref sheet for Goldic! Here's what is done right now:

though, I'm tempted to just redo it again with all the improvements I've made to my art since drawing this...

Also, you're not tripping, I did design an Ash (and Goh) for that Mewtwo comic I didn't make yet (Ash's design is a mix of his Unova and Journeys designs with some creative freedom mixed in; Goh's ref isn't done yet, but he does have a doodle here!):

November: I also didn't draw shit in November, but when I did, I made two whole characters: a catboy (Kitari) and a duelist, yu-gi-oh style, that I didn't share yet (Yune). Fun Fact: Yune is the first Yu-Gi-Oh oc I've ever made, despite loving the series for years, and all I have to show him off is a colored headshot and some messy sketches:

Outfit design isn't final yet, but hey. He exists. Yes, the scarf (and hair) will stay.

December: S Q U A R E - The Puyo Puyo Brainrot returned and so did me drawing Squares. I also drew a bunch of emotes for Kitari (of which only half are done) and another little something that I'll share later~

Overall: - Very productive year in terms of art improvement (mainly anatomy and color choice; character design quality has also improved a lot) - More brainrot fanart than in previous years - Less art overall, but more got shown off - 10/10 quality (compared to older art), hell yeah

I made a design for Comet that fits into the sonic style more, and I was wondering what ya'll would think about that. I have been brainrotting over it for the past month. concluding thoughts: it was good, i did enjoy it, although there was quite a lot of cringe in it for me. and i think the gender stuff was very clumsy done (even if rtd has good intentions), it really didn’t land and just didn’t add anything. seeing the doctor and donna again was very comforting, there was definitely a warm blanket of nostalgia that certainly carried the episode, i would guess the story might not appeal to me as much without them im sure. i didn’t notice the directing, so it did a good job, very glad to see that!! i liked rose, it certainly great to see a trans woman in doctor who and im so happy for that! im sure she’ll definitely be a good addition if (when) she comes back for ncuti’s run. i love donna of course! always and forever my queen, such a joy to see her! i didn’t expect anything less. the other negatives ive discussed, the sonic being wayyyyy overpowered is certainly annoying and the tardis reveal was underwhelming for me unfortunately. but im very excited to see the upcoming episodes, hopefully it will only go up from here. will be clowning myself this week that either sacha or peter will be in the next episode! 😅

have i done ratings out of 10 before? idk this would probably sit around a 7? maybe. could have been tweaked just to bump up the rating but what can i say, a massive improvement from the ch*bnall era and for that im certainly happy!

Anime / Manga !

i love anime and manga. ive grown up with it ever since i was around 5. i would stay up on saturday nights till 7 am when inuyasha would start playing on adult swim. if i was ever too tired i would record the episode on our dvr and would watch it after getting home from kindergarten. crazy age to watch inuyasha but i always found it so cool.

also grew up on naruto. i am such a naruto nerd i have rewatched the og and shippuden so many times i can tell people which episode events happened, i can sing the openings in order, i can name most characters, etc. the naruto brainrot is bad. same thing with bleach and dragonball z. the new bleach has me so hyped i loved watching every episode made me want to rewatch the main series but i have no time so i just watch small clips here and there.

i love just about every genre of anime tbh. sports animes (baki, hajime no ippo, kengan asura, one outs, eyeshield 21, etc). idol animes (idolish 7, tsukiuta, tsukipro, etc). shounen, mystery, shoujo, literally everything. i have to be in a certain mood to watch mech animes but whenever one comes out that catches my eye i put all my energy into watching it. i think the only genre i dont enjoy much is isekai, i used to like them but new ones come out too often i cant keep up.

Cars !

my day to day guilty pleasure is cars. i love cars. they are cool, go fast, go stutututu, whine, be loud, have cool lights, i love everything about a good car.

i have a brz! bought it myself and it is my pride adn joy. it is one of my favorite cars and when i bought it in november i literally cried. I drive manual and its so fun to me! i want to learn how to drift but im a bit nervous because i dont want to accidentally mess up anything in my car.

Reading !

i love books i love reading. i love fiction, sci-fi, philosophy, nonfiction, fanfiction, everything. I was never into books like harry potter and anything with too many magical elements in them but always loved horror and more mystery thriller books.

i have been dying to buy more physical books to add to my mini library in my room but theres a few books on my backlog i need to complete before i do that.

i also have a slowly growing manga collection that i desperately need to add to.

i read all day all night on my phone but the feeling of flipping real pages is so satisfying and having the weight of a book in my bag is just so nice.

Music !

not to toot my own horn but my spotify wrapped minutes is always 140k+. i listen to music all day everyday. while doing homework, reading, driving, working, in class (pay attention dont be like me), watching stuff it doesnt matter. i have a terrible habit of getting bored of something very easily so i always multitask and need 20 things happening at the same time so music is amazing at keeping me focused.

i love 'underground archive', rnb, krnb, jpop, citypop, lofi, rap, edm, literally a whole lot of stuff. i dont like pop that much ive grown to realize same with country, i can listen to it but only if someone else wants to.
