What games do you think resident lover characters would play?

i feel like alcina would be the type to do crosswords or sudoku to keep her mind sharp. bela would play chess for fun or some sort of board game if she must, but she really doesn't have the time to play games.

daniela would be very into video games, especially retro games or 8-bit games.

cassandra is more into card games and charades because she gets to act but will pick up the occasional video game like mario cart to play with daniela.

angie is into drinking games, but she also enjoys stardew valley or GTA.

donna would play plants vs zombies, or the sims and then make a sim of miranda and give her horrible endings while donna's sim would marry mc's sim

and miranda already plays games with the time loop and students lives so she's already living a real life squid games 😓

Trying to do writing stuff involving the loops and I'm not sure if that has been addressed (or it's possibly me just blanking). How exactly does Miranda rewind the loop? Like is it a ritual or does it just a *snaps fingers* kinda thing? Or is there an emergency button that she presses in her office that rewinds everything?

I thought some something, so i'll share it. Cassandra strukes me as the person who kept slipping on ice during winter, like, she'll act dramatuc and try to run but slipped on ice because she wasn't payung attention to where she exactly ran

cassandra always used to overexagerrate when she slipped on ice, til one day she actually fell and hurt herself and no one believed her because they thought she was just acting

we r cooking up one right now and we're hoping to have a demo out by some time this year.

finch has some promo art that they'll be sharing soon and we'll be doing a proper reveal once we have some more work done on the game.

for now all i can say is that miranda's resident lover route is going to look short in comparison to how long the routes r in this game haha

mc does stand for main character but one of the devs put down maria clara in the notes as a joke and ever since then we've just been using it as such. in actuality mc wasn't supposed to have a name to let anyone assign their own name to them

Hi again! I was reading the Lore (mostly because I’m playing the game AGAIN! Can’t get enough of it. Angie’s route was CRAZY!), and I noticed we don’t have any backstory on our GOAT, Elena! She saved a lot of skins. Lol! Could you tell us more about her?

on a rainy morning, elena was born in a cafe...just kidding. she was one of the first members of the cult, an og that miranda had join. elena is mostly ambivalent about anything going on in the cult. she's been through so many of miranda's schemes and plots that nothing really phases her anymore. she's been stationed at the cafe because she's the only one miranda trusts to make her coffee or trusts to be honest about spitting in her coffee on one of those days when everyone in the cult is fed up with miranda's bloody thirsty ways. elena is also in the cafe to keep an eye on student climate and to get any gossip or rumors she can pass down to miranda. ideally, elena would eventually like to escape the time loop and go on to run her own store. she wants to run a bookshop and be an author, because with all the stuff she's been through, she could probably write a shelf's worth of best selling books about it

One question has been plaguing my late night thoughts about the Dimitrescu sisters, Bela and Daniela in particular.

Alcina left them when they were 7 and 5 respectively to nurture Cassandra's acting talent and they were left with Donna, but how "caring" was Donna? Did she play a role closer to a mother figure or was she always just an aunt to them? All three sisters to call her "aunt Donna" in game and neither Bela or Daniela show a special affection for Donna (especially Bela after Miranda's route). And what about Angie? She's family yeah, but was she raised alongside Daniela and Bela or were the two sisters always kinda on their own just living in the same house as Donna and Angie?

These girls and their actually quite terrible childhood have me in a chokehold and I need to dissect it further, but this piece of the puzzle makes it hard to make decisive statements right now. Donna and Angie's involvement could make a huge difference and I need clarifications.

We didn't put much interaction with the dimi sisters and donna in the game since we wanted donna to live up to resident recluse vibes, but daniela and her r close since daniela is closer to angie. daniela is almost always over at donna's place, chilling with her and angie, and when daniela was younger, she did call donna mom a few times. donna doesn't mind taking care of them as she adores them she's just not great with expressing it and is afraid of openly caring for others should she lose them. i would say angie and daniela r very close. they see each other as almost sisters even if they're only cousins, and it's that reason why they're rooming together. bela is more 'professional' with family relations and she has great respect for her aunt given she worked for her for a few years and donna took care of them without any complaint, but she only sees donna as an aunt. bela also doesn't really get along with angie due to their conflicting personalities, but she's grugdingly accepted her because she knows angie will be there to look after daniela if worst comes to worst.

Did you get the inspo for The stans from the Heathers music bc they are giving me Heather vibes

the red stan is inspired by Heathers, while the pink stan is inspired by Mean Girls, and the green stan is inspired by the popular girls in Grease. we wanted to pay homage to some of the more iconic mean girls in media.

the end result has them looking like mean powerpuff girls tho haha

It's because she and Donna are the only ones really aware of the cult and against it, and they get some of the cult's juju from being a part of it, and they subconsciously use it to resist the loop's forgetfulness.

And her heart is strong enough to still function through a binding spell so it's strong enough to remember through a forgetting reset spell.

This is like. No, this IS the only dating sim I've ever replayed. I think I've played it... 9 times now? I just replayed Miranda's route to get the cult ending and MAN. MANNNNNN the way she told MC as she was bleeding out "You can go around with whoever you want, but you will ALWAYS be MINE" gave me fucking CHILLS.

Like she's been waiting for MC for what. 30-50 years at this point? MC absoLUTELY is in love with her, wants to bang her (has Miranda even been LAID since MC died last time??? Whole different discussion) but Miranda is just like "Hmm. No. Not good enough. Well this version of you is nothing to me stabby stab."

Are you guys by any chance going to set up something like a ko-fi? I love this game - I am also looking forward to your next game! I'd love to like donate money your way so you can buy a coffee when you're out working in a cafe or buy take out on evenings when you just want to work and not cook/clean up.

I'm about to start my replay on Bels's route, now that I know about the loop, and am so excited~
