#anyone seeing this is of course already familiar with 1 & 5 #but 2 is a current band doing some rly cool songs with classic emo influences #their aesthetic is gender their music is solidly emo without being teenage-angsty it’s cool stuff!!! #3 is the weather from episode 109 of wtnv and it’s SUCH a good song #riot grrl punk with a very feminine voice the energy is great #and an INCREDIBLE album cover #4 so recently I’ve been seeking out queer media unrelated to coming out stories which I highly recommend everyone do #bc a coming out story is great but it’s just one small part of a happy queer existence and not to be dean in the confessional booth #but there’s things people experiences I want to have that are beyond coming out as gay #and of course this song is a classic but I highly recommend y’all listen to it from that lens #and just kinda think about Living as a queer person rather than Reaffirming yourself as a queer person #bc I’m queer I’m here I’m fuckin alive babey!! and I don’t need a song to reaffirm that.
