Let's stay with basketball, @fchwpo and how I like my lighting. HMI's blasting because I was directing video too while taking stills. Wanted the lighting for my video to match my photography. I have 5 concepts I want to direct and photograph for personal projects. I was up all night making mock ups of the key art and listening to music for inspiration. The shot list, lighting/mood/feel, and script just appears in my mind when listening to music. I can literally visualize the lighting and camera movement directly with the musical notes. I have my heart set on a few athletes. I'm not one to take no for an answer but I also can wait around forever so I gotta be flexible. Gotta put in work and figure out how to put everything together.
