you are spreading so much false information. numbering systems are standard practice at mcr shows since back in the day and throughout frank and gerard’s solo tours. i’ve also never heard of fucking diapers being used at barricade so why don’t you think for half a second before wishing death on people you’ve never met
Okay cool numbering systems are a thing—now what? That doesn’t excuse their behavior or how they operate under the numbering system. Fan made numbering systems only work when everyone is in agreement. they also have limitations!
Here are some fan accounts of their numbering system and there are LOTS more but tumblr limits posts to only 10 images. I found them here, here, here, and here, as well as on Twitter and the notes of this post and this post

As for the adult diapers, I didn’t say it with authority. I just said I saw someone say it. Whether it’s true or not is up for the individual to decide. It is common for people to wear adult diapers so they don’t have leave the queue they’re in. Just look up “adult diapers new year’s”. Either way I think that’s the least important part of this. Idrc if they do or not; I don’t have thousands of dollars to follow them around and find out if they smell. Like. Be serious. They’re being awful to other fans and this is what you choose to focus on…okay lol
Again, since I’m pretty sure you read my other post, you’re being deliberately oblivious and dense. And I actually thought for a full second before I drafted this response and what do you know? I STILL hope the Japanese fans crush them and if you want to be such a warrior for this group you can go ahead and die with them too <3

seeing popular blogs on here praise the barricade brigade for streaming or defend them (because ‘my friends simply would not do those things that like 700 people across the globe have complained about them doing because I know them personally, so’) is just like
Tumblr media
this fandom is pretty amazing. like my expectations are on the ground and people will just roll up their 50 setlists into little shovels and dig under them. imagine being the kind of clout chasing brats who fight for barrier every night at every show in a huge tour so that other people who get that opportunity once have a lesser opportunity, being nasty, physically aggressive, ableist dicks about it to the point where you reduce multiple people to tears and hundreds of strangers across several contintents are angry with you, and THEN that’s not good enough you wanna try to gaslight them as well. like ‘no babes, that didn’t happen. to any of you. we’re all so nice and you’re literally ALL liars. okay thx! xo’. like a high school bully fucked a clown and had the world’s specialist brigade of babies, jesus

to be clear i am not trying to disparage everyone who attends wwwyf or anything like that. there are always some genuine fans who will go who care about the band and appreciate them and their growth in every era and dont wish for them how they were 15 years ago. if any of yall get to go i am genuinely happy and excited for you!!!
i just know that the overall atmosphere (of the crowd) is going to be one that is very counter to the type of fan experience i like to expose myself to, because there are a disproportionate amount of people who call themselves fans of a band but actively hate on the music and choices that reflect the healing and growth theyve undergone and only want them to be the way they were years and years ago.

Hi! Sorry if this is stupid, or if you’ve already gotten asks like this. It seems I’m a bit out of the loop; who is privliged/what has happened (the whole tour situation)?
Thank you, and sorry if my english is weird.
no problem at all! there's a group of people unaffectionately nicknamed "the barricade brigade" who all quit their jobs in and used their money to get pit tickets to nearly every mcr show this tour (including ls dunes shows). reportedly, they have been ableist, broken venue camping rules, been hostile (emotionally and physically supposedly) towards people in general admission lines, lied to people in GA lines about security at venues implementing "number systems" for the line that in truth they came up with, cost people their place at barricade, and left their camping trash everywhere among other things. the biggest offender in the group from what i gathered is cylia (xocylia on instagram) who has been streaming shows religiously.
i don't see how anyone who could afford this kind of expedition could not be a privileged, entitled asshole so i'm shocked it took this long for the reveal, but i hope asian mcr fans don't put up with their shit for a second during the japan shows lol.
if i'm missing anything, people who know more about the situation pls add more in the tags/replies

The IDF really is nothing more than a police force. I know we say that a lot to make fun of their performance in the battlefield but when you see videos like the ones below, it really hits home that these people don't know how to do anything but police brutality and kidnappings.
[Normally I would add videos so that people without a twitter account can see but I'm 99% sure that everyone we see in these videos is dead despite no visible corpses]
In the first video, a couple soldiers are camping out in the open. The camera doesn't need to zoom in for you to see them, they're hardly blending into the tall grass and shrubbery.
In the second video, a group of IDF soldiers in Gaza are standing by open windows while slowly barricading themselves in and I mean slowly, there's no urgency.
Naturally, both Hezbollah and Al-Qassam Brigades take them out easily.
These soldiers, the pride and joy of Israel, don't have the common sense God gave to dogs. I can't envision a future where they manage to beat Hamas or any of the other militant groups operating in Gaza.
They're doing badly in the West Bank too btw. They were just forced to retreat from Jenin entirely after hours of fierce fighting against Palestinian resistance groups.

An Israeli occupation Commander and two additional occupation soldiers were killed as a result of an explosion in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, February 13th, 2023.
According to Zionist media sources, three occupation soldiers were killed after an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated inside a building where the soldiers were barricaded inside to the east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The three killed Israeli soldiers were:
☠️ Lt. Col. (res.) Netanel Yaacov Elkouby, 36, the commander of the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade’s 630th Battalion, from Haifa.

what's the tea? 👁️👁️
okay SO
Tumblr media
from what ive gathered (mostly from reddit and twt bc they have somewhat working search functions)- there's a group of people (mostly/entirely americans of course) who have gone to 30+ mcr shows and gotten barricade every time. which is tens of thousands dollars like they quit their jobs to follow the band around and either are insanely rich or in insane credit card debt. And some of them are going like "Well if you cant travel internationally it's your fault just save up more money" which. Girl. and they made a number system to decide who gets barricade so they get it every time and get pissed at people who won't listen to them . AND they camp out for days before shows and dont shower and wear diapers so they dont have to leave the queue apparently 👍 AND one of them said that disabled people shouldnt get barricade or something? or got mad abt people getting in line before them to get to accessible seats?? im not entirely sure what's happening there but that's what ive heard which. YIKES. and mcr havent been in australia since like. 2007? and these people- the barricade brigade as they are known- were making australians get to the back of the line so they could be at barricade DESPITE ALREADY HAVING BEEN TO DOZENS OF SHOWS. AND APPARENTLY FRANK KNOWS ABOUT THEM ANDF DOES NOT LIKE THEM LMAOO
I FEEL INSANE . WHY ARE PEOPLE LIKE THIS

On this day, 7 July 1960, five communist workers, including three former partisans, were shot and killed by Italian police in the Reggio Emilia massacre. The killings occurred during a strike called in protest at the police killing of a worker in Genoa who was protesting against the fascist Italian Social Movement (MSI) holding its conference in the city. Police and Carabinieri (paramilitary police) used teargas and water cannon to attack a crowd of around 300 strikers from the Reggiane Mechanical Workshops who were singing protest songs in front of a war memorial. The workers retreated to a nearby square and built barricades to defend themselves, repelling the attack, so police started firing live rounds, killing five and wounding 16. The names of the dead are Lauro Farioli, Ovidio Franchi, Emilio Reverberi, Marino Serri and Afro Tondelli. The latter three had all been members of partisan anti-fascist resistance brigades during World War II. We recently interviewed surviving WWII partisans for our podcast. A whole series about the movement, and events like this in the aftermath, is coming soon. another thing that amazes me about the barricade brigade is that one of the main ways they’re defending themselves from wildly reasonable criticism is saying shit like ‘APPARENTLY we’re’ taking barrier spots away from other fans and that people need to relax and stop being babies because ‘it’s like 10 spots out of a barrier than can hold 70′ or whatever it was cylia said  like...is it object permanence or math that’s the problem here or both. if you are standing at the barrier another fan cannot stand in the same place because... you’re taking up that place. what’s this apparently business?? and do people understand that like, say 10 out of 70 is the actual case (it’s 10 out of a lot less at a dunes show but anyway), 10 is almost 15% of 70 or nah? taking up 14+% of the barrier at every show is pretty wild actually. like is your argument that that’s NOT affecting other people’s opportunity to see the gigs from that area?? what is going on with this reasoning? who taught you math? also manners?

ISRAEL REALTIME — November 7, 08
9:30:
▪️Report that the US President Joe Biden's proposed a $14 billion aid package to Israel reportedly includes funds to assemble up to 100 more Iron Dome launchers, significantly expanding the IDF's air defense.
▪️IDF spokesperson: IDF fighters from the 7th Brigade Combat Team took control of a Hamas military stronghold in the northern Gaza Strip the past day. Anti-tank launchers and missiles, various weapons and intelligence materials were located at the outpost.
Also, a fighter jet attacked a squad of about 10 terrorists in cooperation with fighters in the Nahal's brigade combat team who identified the squad and directed the attack. Later, the fighters identified an anti-tank squad that was operating near them and directed another aircraft which attacked the terrorist squad.
Last night, the IDF attacked dozens mortar launching positions and the Naval forces also attacked Hamas targets.
In addition, the fire complex of Division 36 located a number of Hamas terrorists, who had barricaded themselves in a building near Al-Quds Hospital and from where they planned to launch an attack against our forces. The IDF fighters directed an aircraft to attack the terrorists. The attack led to significant secondary explosions that testified to the presence of a weapons warehouse belonging to Hamas terrorists in a civilian building.

Top 5 favorite zones across all expansions of acclaimed MMORPG FFXIV!
[ Ask me my top 5 anything ]
My Limsa bias is about to show. In no discerning order:
Sea of Clouds: I was in post ARR patch hell for what felt like forever when first going through the game. So finally getting to Heavensward and the first proper zone was a very memorable moment in my eyes. This zone also just that particular old school FF vibe in terms of aesthetic and music. It’s got great lighting for your screenshots, an airship to gpose on for all your sky pirate needs, and hunting Squonk is always an adventure.
The Fringes: Solid music. Multiple varied biomes. The memory of running out from the starting camp and being immediately attacked by a treant and hearing Stormblood’s combat music for the first time is something I recall very fondly.
Southern Thanalan: it’s got sand. Giant crystalline structures in the background. Corpse brigade camps. Little Ala Mhigo. More sand. Overall this zone has a lot of wonderful opportunities for gpose especially.
Western La Noscea: there’s something to be said about the geography in this zone. I love the lone road stretching from the southern tip that takes you to Swiftperch and then to Aleport. I love that you can see Pharos Sirius always looming ominously in southern distance. The flower fields being marauded by wild dodos who’ve developed a taste for freedom, the patches of wildflowers littering the cliffs of the coast, the uphill road leading to Satasha, the Maelstrom outpost barricading sahagin territory- I can wax romance about this place forever.
Middle La Noscea: I think zones with a prominent landmark you can always discern from any spot is peak design, and here it’s Limsa beckoning you with its grand salt swept alabaster buildings and construction. I love everything about this area and it’s my go-to zone for all my La Noscea gpose needs.
A hot or not-so-hot take but by comparison the none of the expansion zones capture the same quality of personality as ARR zones do. The former feel so much barren ( FF16 has a similar issue).

Frank Turner really didn't have to go that hard with the lyrics in "Love, Ire, and Song," but he really did, and there is only one other song I know that comes that close to capturing my feeling towards a lot of contemporary "activism."
I mean, fuck man.
youtube
(Lyrics transcript below cut)
Well a teacher of mine once told me That life was just a list Of disappointments and defeats And you could only do your best And I said: "Well that's a fucking cop out You're just washed up and you're tired And when I get to your age, well I won't be such a coward"
But these days I sit at home Known to shout at my TV And punk rock didn't live up to what I'd hoped that it could be And all the things that I believed With all my heart when I was young Are just coasters for beers and clean surfaces for drugs And I've packed all my pamphlets with my bibles At the back of the shelf
Well it was bad enough, the feeling The first time it hit When you realized your parents Had let the world all go to shit And that the values and ideals For which many had fought and died Had been killed off in the committees And left to die by the way-side
But it was worse when we turned To the kids on the left And got let down again by some poor excuse for protest Yeah, by idiot fucking hippies In fifty different factions Who are locked inside some kind of 60s battle re-enactment And I hung up my banner in disgust And I head for the door
Oh, but once We were young and we were crass enough to care But I guess you live and learn We won't make that mistake again, no Oh, but surely Just for one day, yeah, we could fight And we could win And if only for a little while We could insist on the impossible
Well, we've been a good few hours drinking So I'm gonna say what everyone's thinking If we're stuck on this ship and it's sinking Then we might as well have a parade So if it's still gonna hurt in the morning And a better plan's yet to get forming Then where's the harm spending an evening In manning the old barricades?
So come on old friends, to the streets Let's be 1905 but not 1917 Let's be heroes, let's be martyrs Let's be radical thinkers Who never have to test drive the least of their dreams Let's divide up the world into the damned and the saved And then ride to the valley like the old Light Brigade And straighten our backs, and we won't be afraid And they'll celebrate our deaths with a national parade
So come on Let's be young Let's be crass enough to care Let's refuse to live and learn Let's make all our mistakes again, yes And then darling, just for one day, yeah We can fight And we can win And if only for a little while We could insist on the impossible
Leave the mourning to the morning Yeah, pain can be killed With aspirin tablets and vitamin pills But memories of hope And of glorious defeat Are a little bit harder to beat
