Baoshi the Chi-Yu
Tumblr media
One of those things where I wonder if there’s a particular basis.  The Ruinous Treasures, based on their names, seem to have a Chinese basis, and yet Chi-Yu here seems to be represented with magatama beads, which as far as I know, are a Japanese thing.  Was there a Chinese basis to them I simply didn’t find in my research?  Either way, that brings us to the end of Box 29.  Crazy to realize that, over the various games my collection is split between at this point, I have a full 29 boxes of Lv 100s I’ve trained over the years.  And then some when you count the Box Zero entries.  I’ve... been at this awhile.

Note
so if a "bao" can be a baby, a treasure, or a steamed bun, and the baby care area is named the "baoshi" as a pun on baby and treasure, some of the Lans would absolutely continue the pun by referring to the baos as little steamed buns, or the baoshi as a place where baos are baked until old enough. baozi baoshi baos!
Because of this, the Baoshi baos eat a lot of baozi. XD
