Misakoko vs the flu

- When Kokoro's the sick one, all hell break loose

- "Kokoro, why're you out of bed?!"

"I can't bring smiles to people if I'm sleeping, silly!"

"That's nOT THE POINT–"

- The people in suits attempt to help Kokoro, but she specifically requests Michelle

- Misaki comes instead, because "the flu is fatal to bears"

- She just feels responsible for her, but she'd never admit it

- Kokoro, in her haze, makes up a lot of new tunes to hum as Misaki desperately writes them down

- This girl is incapable of lying down for more than 5 minutes

- It's a wonder she even sleeps

- She ends up spoonfeeding her soup because it's the only way she stays still

- "KOKORO DON'T DO A HANDSTAND"

- Whenever she falls asleep, Misaki sleeps in the chair next to her, but always spends a few minutes staring at her; she constantly expresses to much emotion, so seeing her in a calm state like this is unusual to say the least

- Kokoro catches her one time though

- "Are you sure you aren't getting sick too, Misaki? Your face is super red!"

- When Kokoro gets better again, it's both a good and bad thing for Misaki's poor heart

- When Misaki's sick, Kokoro asks why Michelle's gone too

- Again, the same explanation: "if she came too close to me she'd get the deadly bear flu"

- Kokoro takes it upon herself to bring smiles to Misaki's face whenever she can

- Although she finds it annoying at first, Misaki eventually gets used to the sight of Kokoro every day, bringing her soup, and the one day she doesn't show up her temperature actually increases

- Kokoro claims the smiling cured her once she gets better

- Misaki hopes she'll take care of her once she drops dead from overworking for Harohapi

It's hard to post regularly... Well here I come with a new Morfonica analysis! I hope someone still remembers me :_)

Today I wanna talk about the birthday illustrations! This post will be divided in two parts because of the image limit. This post is about Mashiro, Touko and Rui.

Birthday illustrations are really interesting because they represent the girls' personalities and the things they like as gifts from their bandmates. So, let's see what we've got here!

💙MASHIRO💙

Mashiro is a sweet and cute girl who has a dream to become someone significant. I like that she is blue-themed, because blue is accociated with calmness, kindness, softness and all such (at least I think so...) Her illustrations always fill me with joy. She collects stuffed animals and knits, such a SOFTIE... Look how happy she is on the third pic with all those plushies! She is their mom now 🥺

Her gift is a seal plushie, I wonder who gave it to her (mashirui brainrot activated) Also the same seal on the cupcake holds a sewing needle, so maybe it represents Mashiro herself? She is a baby seal your honor

There's also some interesting things in the big picture :

1. Mashiro follows a butterfly, gently holding her stage costume hat. So wholesome.

2. Why are there fish? I suppose it's either a dream or a metaphor, maybe a Shinkai Shoujo reference. Shinkai Shoujo is a perfect song for Mashiro, by the way, it's so sad...

3. There's a stone with the school motto in the background! It appeared in the beginning of Morfonica's BS1. I don't remember the words perfectly, but it said something like "Your radiance will light up your path". Tsukinomori literally has a motivational quote on a chunk of stone in their garden. So fancy.

Here goes our dorky fashion icon! Her gifts are all food, and I think it's from Nanami. Touko gave Nanami a bottle of spicy sauce for her own birthday, so it would be a fair exchange. Touko is having a time of her life eating fried noodles, and I'm proud of her.

There's not much to say about the first picture, but I like how it represents her two biggest passions – making clothes and playing guitar. Also a cute little detail – she's wearing a butterfly necklace. It would be so cute if she started wearing more butterfly accessories after joining the band! And I like those birthday glasses from the third pic! You go girl!!

💚RUI💚

I've already talked about Rui's 2020 birthday illustrations in this post about Rui slander. It's interesting too, so read that and come back here!

So, we see our beautiful beloved Rui-Rui being a little happier than usual. She's wearing glasses because she is smart and classy and everything

I don't like her pose from the second pic because it's strange, but here's a little detail: she is watching magical white flowers grow around her! You know what it reminds me of? BS2. Yeah, it came out later than the birthday pictures, but still it looks like a parallel... I'm probably reading too much into this lmao

There really isn't much to analyse anymore, I just love looking at her and thinking about her making friends and doing what she really likes instead of trying to reach some weird non-existent "perfection" that her parents created. She is my little meow meow and I will protect her with my life. >:[ 💚💚💚💚

i wonder what kind of niche i fill in my little tumblr hemisphere. 

see, and i’m wondering this because i feel like there’s a very inavoidable degree of compartmentalization endemic to tumblr moreso than any other of the Blue Social Media websites 

to say that in a significantly less obtuse way, the idea of your ‘love live mutual’ and your ‘yuri!! on ice mutual’ don’t exist on say, facebook. everybody is more humanised there, this blogging site is significantly more anonymous by design

and i could go further into that, about the ramifications of that increased focus on anonymity and personality/content over appearance and why it’s turned tumblr into an infinitely popular queerspace (the 2013 era anthropomorphisation  of tumblr as some brightly coloured raging Bastard who Just Happens To believe in, ugh, Social Justice? not coincidental when considering this) but that’s a subject for a post by somebody significantly more educated than myself. somebody who isn’t awake at 1 AM listening to yankee hotel foxtrot, maybe

i immediately digressed into thinking about social structures and group psychology again. let’s get back on track

i wonder what role i fill in the framework i’ve placed here, wherein each tumblr user you add to your ‘party of mutuals’ so as it were happens to be a representative for their main fandom or interest

i feel like the two conceivable or personally conscionable answers to that question, from my own deeply biased perspective, would be the Touhou or the yuri (not on ice!) mutual, leaning moreso towards the second of the pair because there’s *way* more fandoms i’m into than just touhou, irregardless of all the doremy sweet posts i have queued to assault your dashboard tomorrow, and those fandoms have many girls that can and will kiss if i so will it (and i do)

this part isn’t relevant or even much on the same track of the train of thought but it’s funny that i have so many bandori mutuals. i don’t really go there. i just think ran and moca should hold hands then develop a deeper connection and then adopt some children and leave their mark on this world and be satisfied with their mutual existence and then be buried in a couple’s plot at a graveyard

maybe there’s no real point to wondering, much less to typing up a storm about it, but the adhd brain does what the adhd brain shall.

(i have a funny story about that, but i discovered i do actually have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder just last week. whole ass diagnosis. getting medication today.)
