「 ☆ 」   Baljeet likes Buford... in a confusing way that threatens to give the intellectual boy a headache whenever he tries to decipher it. For all the grief that the other brings him, there’s a strange sense of emptiness in the days when he finds himself not in the others company at all. Not for lack of substance or purpose. No, Baljeet has plenty of responsibilities and hobbies to keep him occupied. Sometimes planned to the very seconds in the minutes. A dreadful habit that sometimes rears its head despite Baljeet’s attempts to ignore it. But that’s neither here nor there, Baljeet’s concern on the strings of fate that have bound him and Buford together. A day without the other boy, a LIFE without him, feels... wrong. Somehow.

When it had started to feel that way, Baljeet can’t quite pinpoint. But somewhere along the line, he had grown from viewing Buford as an unfortunate addition to his already cumbersome existence to an integral, daresay natural part of it... Even if the other boy insists on filling his moments with inquiries like THIS. Crossing his arms, Baljeet aims an unimpressed look Buford’s way, both not goaded by the others reasoning and yet knowing full-well that he’s going to agree anyway. Like he said... it’s a confusing conundrum, to say the least. 

❝  Correct me if I’m wrong, but I suspect this doesn’t have anything to do with ensuring my safety and more-so is about you just having the urge to throw me. And if I land on the bridge or on the other side, then so be it.  ❞  Still, Buford IS right about one thing. Better to test that theory now while there’s a hard bridge to break his fall rather than the river. Besides, Baljeet would be lying if he said that Buford’s claim didn’t spark his curiosity. For a question that never ONCE crossed his mind until the other brought it up. Yet now he knows that if he didn’t go through with it, that asinine thought would haunt him.

Baljeet can’t stand NOT knowing something when he’s decided that he wants to... and now, for whatever reason, he wants to. It’s doubtful things will end poorly anyway. Buford has carried him around plenty of times before with no trouble, and the larger boy has a rather impressive arm. Throwing one nerd across the river should be easy enough... Right?

❝  Very well. Proceed with the experiment.  ❞  Baljeet says, moving to stand in front of Buford as if this were their plan from the start.  ❝  But do me a favor and please put all your strength behind it. The area past the bridge looks far more comfortable to land on...  ❞     「 ☆ 」
