It's kind of deceptive it's a two-stroke and had a lot of power it was very fast and her son was riding on the back of it for a few months he didn't have a dirt bike and he finally got a DR 125 and it slower than this and this is only 100 same company his was a four stroke feel free before our sun got involved I made the four strokes faster. Mark pishel was tearing it up every weekend all weekend everyday going real fast and we're surprised that he forgot about the jump that he knew about it and he's trying to do something evil I guess I don't know what he was thinking said he went crazy probably wanted to be off the back of the bike I guess and that sure it's all did it and he went shooting up the air with the thing but really this bike is fast and his agile it's only a 100 cc's and we are going to make them in Mexico it looks a little different it's not the straight line across dips down but this is like the everyday Enduro no that's a different bike that looks more like the Yamaha TW 200 this is not the street version either this would be one of the new dirt bikes and it's not exactly when the light ones either the light ones are different too but the reason to do this is because they sell like madness firstly and secondly they're very fast and efficient the very light bikes we might just use 49cc if you put a hundred cc and then you're going to go way too fast for the a quality of equipment. It would check it out and the e dirt bike level equipment is on power with this when we build it so yeah this would be the 49cc light motorcycle and he says no the lite motorcycle is more like the Baja it would call it mini baja. And we agree and it's hard to be a little bigger and we're going to make it that way smell like a Motocross look but lower this is like an everyday bike and we in addition to the line and we're going to use it because it's intense and it's in an Enduro and it's a two-stroke. And the top speed of this particular version of ours and it would be a 110cc and has more power than this would be about 80 mph on the highway with 150 lb person. And that's pretty fast for 110 cc's we will make a 49cc version and certain areas of the planet that will go about 55 and that's what these are for the second scooter. It's another idea and he likes it it's more sturdy and you can carry things on it whereas the e dirt bike is strictly for riding around and getting around and it's a bit faster on the highway the Enduro version of the EV motorcycle gas powered water 49cc will go about 75 mph and the 110cc will go about 120 miles per hour and it is down in Mexico you'll get a lot of people moving and it's probably the best idea he's got so far is this light Enduro and we want to make smaller ones for smaller people and the 49cc will be offered in the same chassis that's the same size as an e dirt bike lower. Then we're going to make one that's more like the size of the KX80 I'll put it in general and it's a light dirt bike that's like the dirt bike not with a 49cc and usually are 100 lb we'll go about 80 on the highway and as an Enduro that's really nice I'm going to make those in Mexico and they're safe they're DOT approved they're just a lot lighter and they don't really go on the highway they go all of these roads if you will drive everywhere and you need them and it's like China and China has vehicles like this they're like these scooters in their light but they're like this might come off they're not really their motorcycles are going to be very different what we're putting out is going to be different and we're going to put this model out that's a great idea

This is terrific I'm finally getting some help and it's real help these recycled bikes are great and they're high-tech and their performance and he says that that's probably the top line this is I said what would be the lower line he says it's like Mark's ds100 would be the everyday bike will probably sell cajillions and I said yeah and then there's one more I'll take it easy dirt bike e dirt bike and you put the 49 in it and you put the 110 in it and then you have a smaller EG dirt bike and you lower them and they make them dirt or Enduro and I said this this is going to go ahead and it started tinkering with them and he said why don't you get those e-bikes and small and a bigger one and lower them and trade out the motor and so he so I did and you came in and said this is the idea exactly and in real life and they're real fast and there's nothing else you really need there's other banks are great too and then I saw why if you're carrying a load and then you have to have a higher capacity and the light bikes you can carry like 100 lb on the other ones you can carry 200 plus because you can have a passenger something 300 lb so really there's a big difference and I recognize it and people carry stuff on them so this is a go this is a great this is exactly what I was looking for it's a full line and it's going to be everywhere those bikes are foolish and and just out of control outlandish but really Japan is a small island and they like things that are very well built but for Christ's sake how do you guys get on them yourself they're way too high he says they have step ladders everywhere when he was in Japan he's not lying I saw them all over the place and they're carrying them around so those are good on the dirt bikes

I am filing lawsuits against you jackasses trying to kidnap them now other things to do. Yeah try for both but really you're going to kick your own ass

This is almost exactly what we're talking about and John Cena knows what what it is we sent him videos of the particular bike and he likes it it sounds better than this it sounds like a motorcycle not like a Harley and it sounds really cool and it goes about 70 or 80 and the tires are cooler they're big they're not bigger than diameter but they're better shaped for motorcycle and the motor is a real motorcycle motor it has this look to it man this looks pretty cool for a mini chopper this is the coolest one I've ever seen and our son agrees John Cena has a real cool looking one too if it didn't have the lawn mower engine but it's really cool for a build and he's got the right idea. And we have another idea but John Cena wants to go ahead and we're designing them and we're checking it out and our son says it costs very little to make it look cool and shiny and we agree that with that like this bike here it's so much better than the other ones because it's cool looking and shiny for the most part but you can make the whole thing that way the shiny frame the shiny engine and tranny and the blackout some of the other stuff inside and everything else is colorful and it looks really nice and you can charge a little bit of money you don't have to charge much money for the small cc engine and a mini chopper for scooter 49cc or a small motorcycle 90cc or a scooter at 115cc depending on what state you're in and you can probably get a bigger motor but you really don't want to the high speeds you know it's a mini chopper but really it would be great for getting around town and for people who are not huge it's a big seller but it's Asian yes it's Chinese made but it'll be better motor than most and John Cena is promoting his company now and he wants the racing motor and Honda puts racing motors in their bikes when they race and he didn't touch his and he was racing already so we're going to send over a racing motors and he's going to enter Baja and things like that and it has a class for his bike and we're going to enter he's entering into major races and he has races too they work for him

We will never not appreciate how colorful Mexico is. From our trips around Baja California Sur to road trippin’ on the Yucatan, there are always new places to enjoy. The colorful towns of the Yucatan are exceptionally cool and fun, and each is so different! OMG, road trip theme: colorful towns and street art. Okay, here you go!

Your complete Yucatan road trip itinerary (with bonus plans)

Starting in Cancun, since that’s where you fly into usually, grab your rental car and plan your stops. The plan I’ve made here is good for a four to six day road trip focusing on towns and relaxation, but it could easily be stretched out to ten days if you wanted. And know that this plan doesn’t include every cenote or Mayan ruins site, but you can add those in too.

First stop: Puerto Morelos

South of Cancun about forty minutes, this colorful little town is at the start of the Ruta de Cenotes: the Cenotes Road. While it isn’t a resort town, per se, it’s very much centered around tourism and the beach. The town square is just off the beach and it’s surrounded by small hotels and open air restaurants. There is some beautiful street art, plenty of colorful buildings, and a small malecon for strolling

This town is great for a day trip if you’re in the mood to relax and people watch, or if you are looking for a quiet town to escape to for a few days. There are tourists here, but not many. Puerto Morelos feels like the town locals probably visit when they’re having their own beach days…

Note: near the beach the prices of EVERYTHING are crazy. It’s not that I’m an American that wants to haggle or something, but I was looking for an inexpensive beach towel and the only options were very cheap small towels for $27 or $36 USD. And there was no compromise. The prices and mood here are very different from more touristy areas.

Ideas for activities around Puerto Morelos include boat tours to get out on the water, chillin’ on the beach, driving the Ruta de Cenotes (love Cenotes Siete Bocas!), or using this as a home base for visits to Cancun or Playa del Carmen.

Chillin’ in Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen has been one of my favorite spots in Mexico for a few years. Yes, it’s totally built up now and there are tourists and vacationers EVERYWHERE, but it’s still awesome. The town itself is colorful and fun with the feel of a small city. The beach is easily accessible from nearly everywhere, the residents are welcoming, and the food is stellar. Can you go wrong mixing Mexican food and super fresh seafood? No.

Staying at Club Yebo Hotel – Playa del Carmen

An ideal spot for overnighting in Playa del Carmen, the Club Yebo Hotel was super cool. Nestled into one of the more quiet streets just off the main strip in Playa del Carmen, it was exactly what I’d hoped. The courtyard was kind of a jungle with huge trees and elevated walkways, the pool area was beautiful and calm, and my room was simple with plenty of space and amenities.

At night, despite being right between the beach and the party scene of Playa del Carmen, it was very quiet. In the morning, I was able to grab coffee and breakfast just outside the hotel at the little cafe. It was kind of perfect.

Tip: follow Club Yebo Hotel on Instagram to get ideas for visiting Playa del Carmen, to get inspiration to plan a trip, or to watch for deals that they share through social media.

Who knew Playa del Carmen was such a crazy place? Until this last trip I’d only visited Playa in the daytime and now I know where Mexico goes to party. There were more people out in Playa after dark than I’ve seen anywhere else, including the Castro of San Francisco. Shoulder to shoulder people in some spots. There were countless restaurants with outdoor seating, lots of bars, there were break dancers, street performers and so much more. The spectacle of Playa del Carmen at night is something to experience. And street tacos too.

Akumal: colorful nature

This is one of my favorite places in Mexico. I’ve been here before (check out my article) and it was incredible. This most recent visit was just as incredible as before.

The town site of Akumal is built around the beach, as this is the prime destination on the Yucatan for spotting and swimming with sea turtles. Little pockets of restaurants and small hotels are all within a two minute walk to the playa. If you’re into larger resorts, there are a few options here in Akumal, but even those are mellow in comparison to what you’ll find in Cancun.

When it comes to experiencing wildlife in Akumal, that’s where I start to ramble. On this last trip, I saw seven sea turtles swimming, eating sea grass on the floor, and resting. One even swam over to investigate me! I’ve seen stingrays, loads of tropical fish, and just enjoyed laying in the sand. It’s perfect.

Note: there are times that Turtle Cove at Akumal is closed due to too many tourists or a lot of turtles laying in the area. Getting to swim with the turtles isn’t a guarantee, but if you do, you need to exercise caution and respect.

Also in Akumal is Cenote Yal Ku. At the end of the beach road you’ll find a small parking area and an attendant in a palapa style structure. You pay your entry fee ($15 USD as of Feb 2017) and make your way to the most unique cenote. Hugely open and full of mangroves, Cenote Yal Ku is unlike any other I’ve visited. The fish population was off the charts and the direct connection to the Caribbean made for an interesting flow of water as I snorkeled. So fun and colorful!

Valladolid: colorful Mexico

This is my new favorite city in Mexico. Valladolid was so colorful and full of amazing sights! I hate to play to the millennial vibe, but it’s seriously the most Instagramable place I’ve ever visited. Between the towering church in El Centro to the colorful buildings lining the narrow streets, to the plethora of old VW beetles, it’s a photographer’s dream.

Valladolid still feels rather undiscovered when you consider the larger Yucatan towns like Cancun or Playa. Unlike the main tourist areas, you do actually need to speak Spanish in Valladolid. Primarily, the town is a residential one and also home to the local Universidad de Valladolid. If I wanted to stay someplace totally chill and beautiful that the whole family would enjoy, Valladolid would be it. Yes, not close to any beaches, but there’s a cenote right in the middle of town, so…

Yes! There is an enormous cenote directly in downtown Valladolid. Cenote Xin Ha is one of the largest cenotes on the Yucatan and is, hands down, one of the coolest natural wonders I’ve ever seen. There’s a fee for entry of course, but find me a cenote that doesn’t cost something. Once you’re scaling the steps down into the grand cavern, you have the option of doing the full loop or just jumping in off any given cliff. I did the loop and checked out the bat caves and stalactites, but eventually found a small cliff to jump off of that didn’t make me terrified. After relaxing for a bit, I hiked back out and continued to explore the town. Lovely time in Valladolid!

Tip: the city is very walkable and safe, but you need to be sure you’re parking legally, as Valladolid doesn’t have clearly marked parking areas/signs. I had to chat with the police upon returning to my car, and they were awesome and hilarious about my parking job, but it could’ve gone a different path.

Bonus city: Merida on the Western Yucatan

If you have time, spend a day or two in Merida. We haven’t visited yet, but everybody says it’s beautiful and its Spanish colonial heritage makes for some interesting historic sites. This is also where you can stay if you plan on visiting Rio Lagartos or Los Colorados for flamingo viewing. Just an idea…

Next colorful Yucatan stop: Isla Holbox

I returned my car to Alamo Rent a Car at the Cancun airport and headed to the international arrivals terminal to meet a friend. We found our driver with Transfer Holbox and buckled up. This was a mini road trip itself.

A couple of hours in the shuttle and a few Coronas later we made it to Chiquila, a tiny town on the water where we would be catching the ferry to Isla Holbox. It was a beautiful Caribbean night so we sat on the upper deck and enjoyed the ride while a local busted out his amp and microphone and sang for tips. It was all too fun to be true, but it was.

Note: there are different boats that do the ferry service, and depending on the model of boat and the roughness of the waters, sitting outside may not be an option due to the huge waves/spray.

Exploring Isla Holbox

This cool little island is off the northern tip of the Yucatan and it’s still fairly chill for being a Caribbean destination. It’s a strange place, I’ll be honest. And FYI, it’s said “Hole-bosh.”

You arrive by boat and that in itself is kind of an adventure. Once you’re on the island, the only transportation is via golf cart taxis or bikes that you rent. Actually, you could also rent your own golf cart if you really wanted. There isn’t pavement except for some areas of the town with paved sidewalks.

The town of Holbox is very similar to other Mexican towns in that it’s pretty colorful and is 60% restaurants. What makes it different (in addition to the golf carts) is that it’s full of street art and hammocks. Yeah, both in the water and in the town you can use or rent hammocks to chill out randomly.

We ate at several different restaurants in town, but my favorite was El Champlin. This small restaurant in the heart of downtown, just off the main square, has no menu. Each day the chef sees what’s fresh and available and makes four dishes. When we went, the options were stewed shrimps, bone-in tenderloin, lobster and cream sauce, and grouper (fish) with poblano peppers. I had the grouper and it was remarkable. Delicious with a really subtle heat.

Overall, the food of Isla Holbox really seemed to be Mexican inspired but big-city trendy. It was not what I was expecting.

Isla Holbox has plenty of hotels to choose from (we stayed at Villa Flamingos) and pricing is still fairly inexpensive for being the Caribbean. It seemed that most of the visitors to the island were either from Canada or Europe. There weren’t a ton of Americans in town.

Tip: if you can be on Isla Holbox for Carnival, do it! It’s not like Carnival in Venice or Mardi Gras in Mobile, but it’s fun and the whole town is in on the party.

The Long Beach GP IndyCar race is coming to LA and Honda associates always gear up for it through driver's appearances and a special spectating section. Did you know that the RTR TLX earned 1st place at Road America? Today, let's highlight more fun facts about Honda Performance Development (HPD.)

First and foremost, racing is a significant part of Honda's DNA. Mr. Honda loved racing and his dream was to win a world championship with a vehicle developed by him and his company. And he is the only person ever to do this with both 2 (motorcycle) and 4 wheels (cars). Back when he was producing small bikes and scooters in 1954, he visited the legendary Isle of Man TT race and vowed to put ALL of his focused energy - and the same from the company - into successfully competing there. He needed lots of R+D and new fabrication machinery to make it happen though, eventually developing/producing reliable, multi-cylinder 4-stroke motors turning stratospheric RPMs. Just as he vowed, several years later, Honda won the Manufacturer's Cup, and in another couple years, the big race itself.

Did you know that Honda globally competes in over 100 different forms of racing? Here in America, HPD is our racing development arm. They are heavily involved in IndyCar, Acura Motorsports (focusing on the new NSX), and Grassroots Racing (where our customers themselves compete with Honda products in Touring Car, Open Wheel, Rally, Midgets, etc.) Honda's U.S. open wheel involvement was announced in 1993. We have been involved continuously since '94, and by '96, we won our first Engine Manufacturer award. Since our inception, Honda has won over 220 CART/IRL/IndyCar races, including "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" - the 100th running of the Indy 500 in 2016.

The experience of racing benefits our production vehicles as it trains our engineers. The pressures of competing within rigid time, technology, and teamwork parameters creates incredible learning opportunities. When the green flag drops, you need to be ready! Some of our top production vehicle engineers transfer to HPD to work and learn, and others take their racing knowledge from HPD and go back to R+D to develop future production vehicles.

You have heard before that racing improves the breed. I won't share any specific secrets about current technology transfer, however it really does happen. Here's one cool historic example: When the first Baja Ridgeline was campaigned by CARR in the Stock Mini class, there were some minor powertrain and chassis learnings that the Ridgeline Chief Engineer was made aware of in real time. Soon, race truck parts were shipped to Ohio, they were further analyzed, and countermeasures were considered to improve production versions. How did this happen so seamlessly? Easy - he was at the race as part of the team, helping out the pit crew!

Ridgeline has won it's class at the SCORE Baja 500 and 1000 - TWICE each. Even better, the last time I checked, Honda is the most winning nameplate in SCORE Off-Road Racing history.
