something me and my awesome, dear friend razz matazz have imagined with the characters of the backbone game, inspired of the Fleetwood Mac's Mirage album cover art, for his new chapter that you finally can read here :)
Welcome to Aloris, once a land inhabited by humans and animals now overrun by monsters and magic. To keep the peace, the human race started to create summoners, selected individuals that capture and tame monsters in hopes to bring the number of monsters down, however, over time the goal changed. Summoners still capture monsters, as that is their duty, but now they use those monsters to battle other summoners in intense battles. This game now goes by MONSTER ZONE. COMING APRIL 19 2022 What Is Monster Zone? Monster zone is a dice based monster card game! Battle with your friends to see whose monsters are stronger! All you have to do is deplete your opponents LP/DP before they deplete yours!

In today’s session we continued working on our game’s story and interaction design. First of all we finalised the specific story and its characters which led us to thinking about the quests and tasks our players will have to fulfil.
Furthermore we agreed on creating different levels representing the continents including one threatened species on each continent which leads the main character through its quest.
Since the main focus of our game is on endangered animals and spreading awareness about them, we decided to include opportunities for the player to donate money to animal protection organisations in order to unlock new levels.

After spending the last two work sessions with intense brain storming and researching various game concepts we settled on our game’s theme and genre.
Also, we discussed the rough story and content of our game to make sure all of us have a similar picture in mind. In order to keep working on creating an original and interesting game we started our market analysis and began researching other games that might be similar to our idea. The results we’re surprisingly different than we expected. We only found one or two games that covered a resembling topic. Still, they were different in their fundamental concept.
At this point Backbone Games proudly announces the development of a click & point adventure game approaching the significant topic of animal and species protection. An issue concerning all of us personally and we believe that we can create a game that spreads awareness and informs kids, teenagers and interested adults to take better care of our environment.
