Re-Amping (Line Level to High-Z)

One method is based on this DIYRE-article. It uses a Carnhill VTB9046 (2+2:1+1) Line Level transformer. The primaries are put in series and secondaries parallel (4:1). This results in a Source/Load impedance of 10KΩ/600Ω. Following the article, input ZΩ is 16K7 using a terminating resistor of 1K and output ZΩ is 15K.

A very similar but cheaper method uses a Monacor LTR-110 (1:1 / 2:1) Line Level transformer configured as 1:1 with a Source/Load impedance of 600Ω/600Ω. Input ZΩ is 680 to correctly load the transformer for a line level signal and output ZΩ is also 15K.

An alternative cheap method uses the Neutrik NTE 10/3 (1:3:10) configured as 1:10 with a Source/Load impedance of 200Ω/50KΩ. The line level signal is attenuated with an U-Pad at the input. The impedance is controlled at the primaries with the 300Ω shunt resistor.

Dimension Portable Groove Box

I just added a new software to my arsenal - Plasticity. It's basically for CAD 3d modelling, and very good for industrial design. So this is my first industrial design project. I wanted to create an object/device which looks awesome and modern but it's also grounded in reality. Since I'm also a dj and produce music I decided to take that knowledge and design a Portable Groove Box. Something I would love to own and use.

Concept, design, modelling, rendering and branding - all made by me 💪

When I have time, I'll make a detailed presentation which delves more into the interface of the OS and how the device is operated. I also have ideas to continue the design and the brand with few more devices - delay/reverb box, headphones, portable speakers etc.
