kind of crying over the fact that young-woo's dad was all "WHO IS THIS MAN WHO WON'T TREAT YOU RIGHT BY NOT DEFINING THE RELATIONSHIP" all while jun-ho's like "we... aren't dating?🥺"

Maybe it’s because I’m not suuuuuper knowledgeable about the situation with Attorney Woo, or even the autistic community (I just found out I have autism, so I’m still learning lmao), but to me it’s like that “task failed correctly” thing. They had no autistic writers, no autistic actors, literally not a SINGLE autistic cast member on the show. But they. Succeeded? The representation is pretty decent? The autistic characteristics are accurate and the show is written respectfully? It had a positive impact on the Korean Autistic Community??? It’s like they accidentally stumbled into halfway decent representation it’s so fucking funny

sooo
did any one else look at attorney Jung and thought,
"Hey that's not an attorney mentor, trying to guide the rookies."
"THAT'S AN ATTORNEY MOM, TRYING TO RAISE 3 KIDS (2 troublemakers and an autistic genius) AND HAS MARRIAGE ISSUES"
like am i the only one to think that?

I just started watching Attorney Woo, and as an autistic, this is the best canon autism representation I’ve seen in years. The best way I can describe it, is the ‘genius autistic person trope except not.’ Rather than being the autistic character being ‘worthy’ because they’re a genius, and getting special privileges as a result, it more realistically shows the character as being presumed as stupid, and therefore having to struggle to get the same opportunities as their neurotypical counterparts.

ok. I know there are so many things to talk about regarding their relationship but this scene is just replaying in my head. I don’t even have anything constructive to say! He just! Looks so vulnerable! And surprised! And genuine! You can see that he’s scared—Woo Young has asked the QUESTION. And he can’t refute it cause it would be a disservice to his feelings. But at the same time he can’t say yes?? Because he’s a schoolboy in love and can’t face her rejection.
It’s just. I-he’s so. Kang TaeOh is truly the king of microexpressions because I’m giggling and swinging my legs over a one-millimeter eyebrow dip.

In addition to “Crash Landing on You”, my girlfriend and I started watching “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, a k-drama that my parents wanted me to watch since I’m in law school. It’s a pretty fun show, but I just want to highlight this one part:
“People can score well just by having great memorization skills. I need an attorney who can meet with clients and go to trials.”
The show roasted the entire premise of “Suits” in two lines. Side note, if we’re to continue the “Suits” comparison, Young-woo is Mike, Jun-ho is Rachel, and Myung-seok is Harvey.
