Lmao, imagine Topaz watching the Aventio romance develop right in front of her as an outsider. Like suddenly one day her coworker (who, up until this point, was the type to never get close to anyone and call people 'friends' but view them only as assets to be used) is talking to her about business stuff before Ratio's voice can be heard arguing with some random ipc grunt. And Topaz watches as Aven's expression brightens and he stops what he was doing to go over and talk to Ratio (who was there to drop off some intelligencia guild paperwork and then visit the ipc's library to get some books that require a high clearance level for research purposes) And Ratio grumbles at Aven but he *removes his alabaster headpiece* which he almost never does? And they both start walking away while they bicker, only having eyes for each other. Topaz looks down at Numby and is just like 'I think he forgot I existed.' (she's never seen this more genuine side of Aven and seeing him get distracted by that doctor was kind of adorable lol)

Oh she would witness a complete metamorphosis for sure 🤣 Also it would be extra funny if she figured out just exactly where this is going before both Ratio and Aventurine do!

One area that the Prozac has made zero difference is Topaz’s gear shyness. We have plateaued. I don’t know how else I can condition her to gear. It doesn’t matter how many times I put it on the floor and reward for interaction and try to increase criteria after she starts coming toward it, but then she won’t go any further. She is still scared of the harness and nothing I’ve done has improved it at all. Clearly the rewards are just coercive but I literally don’t know what to do here. Does anyone have some different approach I can try? How can I make this better?

Professor Alopex (he/him), a Fennaixelphox (FENNekin + brAIXEn + deLPHOX) who's actually not a professor, he's a time traveler!

Gelphox (he/they), half Goodra, half Delphox, all chill as FUCK.

Cirrus (they/them), a kind, if slightly timid, Hisuian Zorua who lacks ontological inertia. (This is something they'll probably explain later on, so stay tuned.)

They also have a plushie of a Unovan Zorua, which they can possess to wear it like a suit!

Kasi and Akesi (he/him individually, they/them collectively), two ends of the same hybrid of Serperior and Delphox. They sleep in shifts, with Kasi being diurnal and Akesi being nocturnal.

Topaz (she/her), a hyperactive Were-Braicanroc who looks, speaks and acts like she's about 95% caffeine by body weight. (4 of the other 5% is crack.) Under the light of the full moon, she takes on a much brighter color scheme, making her look like a sparkledog! (Sparklefox?)

Clarion (she/her), a motherly Floatzel/Primarina hybrid who's in a band with Cirrus (they play piano, she sings), and can turn herself into a pooltoy at will!

re the topaz v aventurine outlooks i think its also worth pointing out that even in the intelligensia guild notes on sigonia that ppl r like extremely prejudiced againsted sigonians and avgins in particular, and from avens chara stories hes faced/facing a Lot of dislike from other employees. its not just microaggressions but straight up aggressions hes been up against and honestly. i get it. me when i get in projects with only cishet white people (endless tightrope)!!! hes replaceable if he doesnt get results and its not just his mindset--its likely Fact? hes willing to even shatter a cornerstone for a desired outcome... topaz got demoted after one (1) project fuck up that honestly could be and likely is long term salvaged. + i think like... the avgins+katicans werent just exiled due to the other clans negotiating w the ipc, but the 2nd labeled extinction event was when the ipc purposefully didnt follow up when they promised to, And its implied that aven was captured/sold BY the ipc (referred to the suits in black or smth). he did the whole egywhatever aventurine case w the fraud thing to fuck w them (or perhaps get their attention?) like i think aventurine has beef w the marketing department or whatever one oswaldo is in bc he was the one in charge of the whole sigonia thing and thats a facet of his foundational distrust + topaz w work as a tool to produce good outcomes for all vs aventurine w work as capitalism he tries to zero sum game in. lets go modern day capitalism haters (exhausted cheer)

Ooh good points, I kinda forgot to take into account just how much hatred has been directed towards Aventurine or the Avgins even before the IPC swooped in. Also, I reckon Topaz being demoted after Belobog was a light punishment, I have a feeling that one of the other Stonehearts favours her. If anyone else fumbled Belobog they wouldn’t have gotten off as easily, I can only imagine what sort of punishment Aventurine would’ve been dealt if he messed up the Penacony project

Okay but for real, I think it’s important to acknowledge hsr’s use of the signoians and their enslavement with the ipc is a very thinly veiled allusion to the actual enslavement of romani peoples. They changed the dialogue in the english translation to make it more palatable but I still think it’s vital to be vocal about this sort of thing. Especially since Hoyoverse has done this before.
