1 Chronicles 27. 1-15. "Heled: From Adam to Civilization."

Army Divisions

27 This is the list of the Israelites—heads of families, commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and their officers, who served the king in all that concerned the army divisions that were on duty month by month throughout the year. Each division consisted of 24,000 men.

The Book of Chronicles scales. Sometimes we are inside our own heads, sometimes we are wholly consumed in God Himself. In between these two lay the human race. This section explains the course of the Light in the Torah from its first moment of expansion through its culmination in 12 month increments.

The Gematria for the divisions of 12 set at 24,000 men each, one per month, is layered similarly.

Noun אדם (adam) is one of a few words for man but means literally probably "product" or likeness-made-from-soil; man as corporeal unit of humanity. This word is never used in plural, and its feminine equivalent, namely אדמה (adama), denotes arable soil or clay-red earth.

Red is the first color a baby learns to see and red or ruddy is indeed the color of rudiment: verb אדם ('adom or 'adem) means to be red, adjective אדם ('adom) means red, noun אדם ('odem) denotes a ruddy gem, possibly quartz, noun אדם ('edom) denotes a kind of red stew, adjective אדמדם ('adamiddam) means reddish, and adjective אדמוני (admoni) means red or ruddy.

The ubiquitous noun דם (dam) means blood; the seat of life, whose circulatory system always sits inside an organic body, isolated from the world at large. When a river turns to blood, it not so much assumes the color and thickness of blood but becomes isolated from the greater hydrological cycle.

The life that is seated in the blood is therefore primarily an issue of waste-management. Without it, the organism pollutes and dies.

Army Divisions

2 In charge of the first division, for the first month, was Jashobeam son of Zabdiel. There were 24,000 men in his division. 3 He was a descendant of Perez and chief of all the army officers for the first month.

Nisan, "setting out", is the first Hebrew month.

4 In charge of the division for the second month was Dodai the Ahohite; Mikloth was the leader of his division. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Iyar, "the binding light" is the second Hebrew month.

Ahohite=from a node to the greater economic whole

Mikloth=all that is covered by God

5 The third army commander, for the third month, was Benaiah son of Jehoiada the priest. He was chief and there were 24,000 men in his division. 6 This was the Benaiah who was a mighty warrior among the Thirty and was over the Thirty. His son Ammizabad was in charge of his division.

The third month is Sivan, "to store" but more accurately means to "receive and to keep".

As spelled by Jewish scribes, our name Sivan (סיון) seems deliberately similar to the names Sin (סין) and Sinai (סיני), which ultimately may derive from the verb אסם ('asam), to gather or store. This appears to be more than a cute coincidence because precisely three months after their departure from Egypt, the Israelites entered the wilderness of Sinai, where the Creator deposited his Law into their keep.

"Build the association between the father, the son, the house and the civilization. Know and also have familiarity between what is known and its modes of expression."

Ammizabad="This, which is kept secret is what is available to the kinsman, the in-crowd."

Anytime the number 30, or "over thirty" is used it means the self has just left Egypt. 30 connects stages of life between the last traces of the boy and the inevitability of certain manhood.

7 The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel the brother of Joab; his son Zebadiah was his successor. There were 24,000 men in his division.

The fourth month is Tammuz, or "son of life".

Zebadiah= whom God has fashioned as the inner self.

=One has to give up idols the ones that whisper to the ego and find the "son of one's own life."

8 The fifth, for the fifth month, was the commander Shamhuth the Izrahite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Av, to stop criss-crossing and go straight across, is the fifth month.

9 The sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Elul "what sucks the worth out of life", is the sixth month.

Ira, son of Ikkesh=A roused wild ass

Tekoite=will have to produce with sudden force, like a trumpet blast (woof).

These are most likely the complainers, former slaves, who reconsidered their freedom outside of Egypt and were told by Moses and Aaron they needed to grow up and do a few things. They argued with him again when it was time to Cross the Jordan. Joshua had the same problem.

10 The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez the Pelonite, an Ephraimite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Tishrei is the seventh month.

The seventh month is one of festive assemblies. In the month Ethanim "all the men of Israel assembled themselves to King Solomon at the feast" in order to transport the Ark of the Covenant from David's Zion to Solomon's Temple.

Helez, the Pelonite, the Ephraimite=

A certain verdict requires one to branch out.

11 The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbekai the Hushathite, a Zerahite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Heshvan "the library of synthetic wisdom" is the eighth month.

Sibbekai the Hushathite, son of the dawn. "To cast off the chaff quickly and rise up out of the leprosy into the sun."

Leprosy is utter blasphemy against God. Our current world is leprous. It says it is grateful to God but it fucks everything up. This it did on its own in the clear presence of options including the fact most of what has happened to this planet is and has been illegal.

To be a Jew is to fight leprosy with all one's might and resources.

12 The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer the Anathothite, a Benjamite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

The ninth month is Kislev, "a belief witout correlated events" like a body without a skeleton, without constellation.

13 The tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai the Netophathite, a Zerahite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Tevet "intercourse, to be close to the skin, to define goodness as that which brings about the inevitable, as set by God" is the tenth month.

"The swift, the skilled, whose drips distill into gum, also rises, but faces East and becomes free of leprosy."

All superstition about how human beings have sex has to stop. The Most High says this takes His Name in Vain and is the subject of blasphemy against Him.

14 The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah the Pirathonite, an Ephraimite. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Shevat "the beating rod" is the eleventh month.

Benaiah the Pirathonite, an Ephraimite = "Beat out of the stone, the Little Pharaohs, the Little Confederates of Egypt by spreading out."

15 The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, from the family of Othniel. There were 24,000 men in his division.

Adar "to eclipse oneself with what is majestic" is the twelfth month.

The noun חלד, heled, refers to the acts and deeds that sum up one's life on earth, or indeed the whole spectrum of human life: the world.

To refuse submission, including the offering of complete respect for other members of the human race is to forfeit God's Presence and to be subject to the law.

As the Tanakh says, it is the law that turns the mole into a man and it has served us well since the time of Adam.

4 STAGES OF RELATIONSHIP:

Bata palang ako pangarap ko na ang “happily ever after”.

Yung parang kwento nila Beauty and the Beast, Snowhite, Snowhite and Little Mermaid. Muntik ko na ngang pangarapin din na maging sirena e 😅🤣

Pero honestly, sino ba namang nangarap ng ganito.,,

“Paglaki gusto ko ng broken marriage and broken family.”

“Pangarap kong ma-experience ang annulment. Mag-aaral ako ng mabuti at pag-iipunan ko yun. Kasi pangarap ko talaga yun.”

“Sana makahanap ako ng lalaking hindi tutupad sa mga pangako niya, sasaktan ako, aalilain, aanakan lang ako at higit sa lahat yung iiwan ako.”

“Sana walang #forever. Inaasam-asam ko yung panandaliang relationship.”

Mas nakikilala na din natin ang ating mga asawa. Maraming discoveries, adjustments and yet we still expand our individual lives to begin developing a life of “the two of us.”

During this phase, medyo nababawasan or nawawala na yung “head over heels” na feeling. Sa paglipas ng panahon yung dating wild na sex life medyo kumalma na 😅 Pero kahit hindi na kasing wild noon, satisfying naman.

We feel safe.

Cared for.

Cherished.

Appreciated.

We feel close and protected.

Iniisip natin na ito na ang ultimate level ng ating pag-iibigan at umaasa tayong hanggang sa dulo na ito ng walang hanggan.

BUT...

We are often blind-sided by the turn-around of stage three.

🖤STAGE 3: DISILLUSIONMENT

This is the beginning of the end for ‘some’.

Yung iba sa atin hindi aware na darating ang ganitong phase sa ating marriages. Kaya naman when it happens, gumuguho talaga ang mga mundo natin.

Bigla tayong na-didisorient.

Na-bburnt out.

Nabubulag.

This is a period where things begin to feel bad.

Paulit-ulit na offense.

Complications sa mga inlaws.

Poverty.

Infidelity.

Financial crisis.

Health issues.

Extended and looooong distance relationship.

And more...

It can occur slowly or pwede ding sa isang iglap parang ‘mali’ na lahat.

Little things begin to bother us.

We feel less loved and cared for.

We feel trapped and want to escape.

We feel exhausted and we want to quit.

We become more...

Irritable.

Angry.

Doubtful.

Aloof.

Cold.

Bitter.

We may stay busy at work, or with the family, but the dissatisfactions mount. Minsan napapaisip tayo...

“Asan na kaya yung taong pinakasalan ko? Yung taong ‘head over heels’ ako dati? Asan na yun?”

We long for the love we once had, but we don’t know where it went, or how to get it back.

The positive side of STAGE 3 is that the heat burns away a lot of our illusions about ourselves and our partner.

Na-rerealize natin how pure and genuine our love is that we can still choose to love, regardless.

We have an opportunity to become more loving and appreciate the person we are with, not the projections we had placed on them as our “ideal mate.”

After this season, we’ve moved into the next stage and feel blessed to have forgiven and learned the skills for negotiating the stage of disillusionment

This time, we can truly enjoy the later stage of our relationship. YES! May mga challenges parin and struggles but the learning curves made you both into a mature and wise person.

💜STAGE 4: RESTORATION AND COURTSHIP FOREVER

You are now in the phase of working hard to create a real and lasting love.

Marriage is hard work and you are determined to do whatever it takes para ma-experience ang pinangarap mong “happily ever after” nung maliit na bata ka palang.

You’ve finally realized that apart from GOD and without Him in the center of your life and relationship, a thriving and happy marriage is impossible.

One of the gifts of confronting the unhappiness and challenges in STAGE 3 is that we can get to the core of what causes the pain and conflict.

Conflict is inevitable. But this time, you both handle it with maturity, love and grace.

Nagtutulungan kayong gamutin ang mga sugat ng inyong nakaraan. You’ve both learned to be allies in helping each other understand and heal your wounds. Kung noon you fight with each other, this time you fight TOGETHER.

Adam was confused, to say the least. Didn't they hate him? Didn't they leave him? Didn't they want him dead?

But as he was hugged by Lucifer and Lilith in the back of a limousine, he couldn't help but feel very confused. He shivered when he felt Lucifer's claws gently run through his hair and how Lilith's soothing humming filled the car.

"You're still so beautiful," Lucifer said, hugging him and Lilith brushed a hand over his toned stomach.

"Wait. Just wait." Adam gasped out as he felt hands roam over him. They stopped immediately and looked at him in concern. "Why are you acting like you want me all of a sudden? You made it quite clear in the Garden you didn't want me." Adam felt the hurt, bitterness, and self-loathing seep into his body.

They were quiet for a moment before he felt a clawed hand pull his face down to Lucifer's level. "Adam, we never wanted you to feel that way and we're sorry we did. We wanted you with us, but the moment we tried, Michael banned us from the Garden." Lucifer explained.

"Everything happened so fast," Lilith added. "And by the time we were banished to Hell, we had already lost you."

Adam refused to cry. What if this was a lie to lead him into a false sense of security? He had to be resilient. He had to be strong-willed. But as he felt hands caress him so lovingly, Adam felt himself melting. God forgive him, but he was a sucker for touch.

The next few months were filled with confusion and longing. He didn't trust Lucifer and Lilith but they were the only ones keeping him safe from the dangers of Hell. What if he refused them too much and he was kicked out of their home?

So when Lilith kissed his cheek, it took all of his self-control to not run away. She looked deep into his eyes and she frowned.

"I'm sorry. I went too far. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." She didn't try to kiss him again but she also didn't stop saying she loved him. Neither of them did.

Slowly, but surely, Adam realized they weren't just keeping him as some sort of sick entertainment. No one could be this good at acting and not show any tells.

So, Adam allowed them to touch him. He allowed them to give him presents instead of refusing them. He allowed them to say the words, "I love you."

And one day, he said it back. Two years. It took him two years of them consistently loving him unconditionally, but when they ate breakfast together and Lucifer gave him some pancakes to eat, his favorite, the Devil told Adam that he loved him.

Asam smiled with a blush staining his cheeks and shyly replied, "I love you, too." Lucifer dropped his syrup and Lilith choked on her tea. "What?" Lucifer asked in a small voice.

"I love you. Both of you."

Lilith smiled and hugged him close while Lucifer teared up and clung to his side. "We love you. We love you so much, Adam."

Adam didn't notice the obsession growing in their eyes. He didn't notice how they held him possessively, demon features poking out. He just felt safe and protected.

"Are you sure this looks good on me? I'm not exactly...the right shape to be wearing this." Adam mumbled, embarrassed. He was wearing a short gold dress that hugged his chubby figure. Three years in Hell and he put on some weight from the treats and gifts through food he was given. He was by no means obese, but he was definitely chubby. He also grew more demonic, his soul becoming corrupted due to being exposed to Hell for so long. He now resembled a ram, with small curly horns, a fluffy black tail, hooves, and ram ears. Ears that Lucifer and Lilith loved playing with.

"Oh, Adam. You look beautiful no matter what size you are." Lilith said as she applied makeup to her lover. Adam smiled, blushing deeply at her comment.

"I agree. Besides, it just means more to hold." Lucifer said with a smirk before caressing a hand over his love handles. Adam squeaked and swatted his hand playfully.

They were getting ready for a big party. A party that was officially introducing Adam as the King and Queen of Hell's Consort. They wanted him to be their Queen as well, but Adam pointed out that was not how the ruling system worked. He read up on the ways of Hell's hierarchy and he did not want anyone rioting because the system wasn't being followed.

"This was the system you made, might I add," Adam said when Lucifer just said they could change it. "We want them to accept me. Not be angry because you don't follow your own rules."

They finally agreed to Adam being their Consort before making sure they knew he was still important and not less than them just because he wasn't a Queen with Lilith.

Adam honestly didn't care as long as he spent all his time with his lovers.

They walked into the Palace's ballroom where all of Hell's most important figures danced or talked with each other. They looked up and bowed before the King and Queen, but looked at Adam, confused as to why a sheep demon was walking alongside the most important figures in Hell.

"Everyone. Might I have your attention?" Lucifer said, gaining the room's attention. He brought Adam forward as he blushed under the attention. "This is Adam. He is Lilith's and mine's Consort." Several gasps had filled the room and some really looked at Adam, sizing him up.

Adam tried not to squirm under their piercing gaze.

"Now, if anyone has a problem, I don’t give a shit," Lucifer said with a grin. "Let the party begin!"

Adam was having fun! He danced with Lilith and Lucifer, ate good food, and even talked with some of the Hellborn Aristocrats but found them a bit judgemental.

It was a quarter to midnight when it happened. Adam was drinking some champagne and relaxing in a chair when he heard voices behind him.

"He doesn't look very pretty next to them. Far too fat next to the King and Queen of Hell."

"And so plain! Even makeup can't fix a fatass. A pig in a dress is still a pig."

"Do you think they even have sex with him?"

"Do you think he breaks the bed?"

Chuckles and whispers filled Adam's ears and he felt himself blush in shame. He knew it. He didn't deserve to stand next to demons so pretty and powerful.

"Adam? What's wrong?" Lucifer asked as he sat down next to him. "Nothing. Want to dance?" Adam tried to change the subject. He should have known Lucifer knew him too well to be swayed.

"Adam. You can tell me." Adam didn't say anything but Lucifer must have caught the whispering. His eyes turned red and he looked five seconds away from tearing them apart.

"Lucifer. Let it go. I don't want you killing them." Adam said firmly. Lucifer looked ready to argue but reluctantly agreed. "Fine. I won't kill them. But I want you to come with me." Adam was led away to a spare bedroom, but not before a quick mind message to Lilith was made.

'Some scum are insulting Adam. Take out the trash.'

Lilith smirked as an image of the demons responsible for making her lamb cry was revealed. She gently excused herself from the demon she was talking to before making her way over to the demons laughing in a corner. Time to make a public example.

Everyone turned when they heard screams fill the ballroom. They turned to see Lilith holding three decapitated heads in one gloved hand. She was smiling and looked at everyone as if she hadn't just brutally killed three powerful members of the Goetia Household.

"Now, these three died because they insulted my Consort. That simply won't do." She burnt the corpses and the heads in purple fire. "Anyone who insults my Consort will suffer the same fate. Are we clear?"

Everyone was quick to give them their reply while she laughed. "Wonderful! Have you tried the cake? Simply divine!"

"Ah~!" Adam moaned as he felt fingers dig into his hair and pull. He was always sensitive to touch like this.

"My beautiful lamb, I love you and your body." Lucifer purred and Adam moaned when a kiss was placed on his cheek. "Say you're the cutest lamb, my love. Say it."

"I'm the cutest lamb!" Adam cried when his neck was bitten. "Good boy~."

Lilith had told him that she had killed the demons who hurt Adam and even showed an image of their burnt ashes before it was cleaned up along with their blood.

No one could hurt Adam. No one.

"Ready to get out of this dress, my little lamb?"

"Ah~!"

I Come to the Garden, Alone

And the Rivers

(Sunday, February 12th 2023 A.D.)

Genesis 2:8-14

Golden Text: 1 When Jesus had spoken these words, He went forth with His disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which He entered, and His disciples. 2 And Judas also, which betrayed Him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither (in the garden) with His disciples.- John 18:1-2

Are you His disciple? Do you gather with Him in your garden (place of prayer)? If you do not, should you set forth a garden (place of prayer) to meet with Him?

I come to the garden alone,

While the dew is still on the roses,

And the Voice I hear falling on my ear

The Son of God discloses.

Refrain:

And He walks with me,

and He talks with me,

And He tells me I am His own;

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His Voice

Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,

And the melody that He gave to me

Within my heart is ringing.

Though the night around me be falling,

I imagine that Adam looked forward to his time of meeting in the garden. Perhaps something like this above was the song in the most inner being of Adam, as he in child like faith beheld (saw) this most phenomenal, fantastic garden, ever made anywhere on Earth, as God had planted and arranged it.

However how does this tie into the cross of Jesus? It was in this Garden that God gave Adam one simple command, not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God is good. All Adam knew was good. God wanted to protect him (Adam) from all evil. But when Adam broke the law God said that he (Adam) would surely die. God, I believe, in the Person of Jesus came into the Garden and walked and talked with Adam. Adam broke that one simple command of God. DEATH entered the world. But God had a plan to save the rebellious man from his own sin and shortcomings. So, let us go into the Garden of God.

MESSAGE TEXT - Genesis 2:8-14

8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed.

God now gives this man (Asam) a place to inhabit. It was a Garden, the likes of which (I believe) was never seen again and will not be seen again until the millennial (thousand year) reign of Jesus Christ upon this Earth.

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden. First we read the clear words. The LORD (Jehovah) God (Elohiym) planted a garden. Planted: Strongs No: H5193. The Hebrew means planted. That usually means planted to grow.

Here God is not creating (bara from nothing) nor is God assembling (asah [aw-saw]) from that which is already in existence. Here God is using His method of reproduction, but is greatly augmenting it. He does not just plant a seed, but either causes it to grow rapidly (Did Adam see what may have appeared to be time lapse photography as he saw the trees grow to full maturity before his eyes? Or did God plant fully mature trees and cause them to continue growing?) All we know is God planted.

A garden eastward in Eden. Now we are shifting from the initial totally supernatural creation of heaven and earth and all that is on earth, including man, to the Garden of Eden or garden eastward in Eden.

A garden like unto this garden of all that man needs is/was unique, one of a kind. After all it was planted by the One, True, Magnificent, Past Understanding, Eternal, Creator God. Man tries to explain what the simple plain words of God are telling us. Look: just read the plain words and believe the plain words.

The plain meaning is, that God had planted a garden. When: right then. This spot of ground, this garden was separated and distinguished from the rest of Earth. It was a special place for it must have been most beautiful, most magnificent.

This garden was planted in the country of Eden, so called very probably from its being a very pleasant and delightful country; and though it is not certain, and cannot be said exactly where it was located. (Do not speculate or guess). Some believe that since it was by the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, when they were become one stream, which ran through this country, that it might have been in Mesopotamia, maybe even in Haran. BUT what does the Lord say? Another believes it is in Judea, another says or the great plain, and the plains of Jericho.

But the opinions of men about this place are very many, and there is scarce any country in the whole world but one or another has placed the garden of Eden in it; nay, some have assigned a place for it out of the earth, in the eighth sphere. Such a garden undoubtedly there was somewhere, and it is said to be placed "eastward", either in the eastern part of the country of Eden. Cain lived near the land of Eden. (Genesis 4:16)

And there He put the man whom He had formed; After this preparation, God placed Adam in that beautiful garden. Adam was brought from the place where he was formed, and put into the Garden. (Note: After the global destruction of Noah's flood, it is doubtful that the location of the Garden of Eden could be determined with any degree of certainty today.)

9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food. God only placed in the garden trees pleasant to the sight (Hebrew= desirable in appearance) and good for food. (Hebrew= good or agreeable for fruit or meat; had to be some they could lawfully eat.) They were the trees bearing fruit with seed in themselves. (God tells Adam he may eat of all seed bearing trees).

That is, out of the ground of the garden of Eden. Eden was a fantastic spot of ground, although was not that true of all of the creation of God? Eden was fixed for man, and stocked with trees of all sorts for his use, only those trees which could bear fruit; the trees which would be suitable and agreeable food for him. Also not only were trees to gratify the senses of tasting and smelling, but that of sight; and such as trees that pleased the senses: goodly trees. Even the tree of knowledge or good and evil was pleasant to the eye. (Genesis 3:6)

The tree of life also in the midst of the garden. God also placed two other trees in that garden: the tree of life (Hebrew literally=tree that is living. Are we allowed to wonder if the fruit on this tree was similar to the fruit that is to be on the trees in the book of Revelation 22:2 ?) The tree of life was likely good for food and who knows, if before Adam sinned, he ate from it. There was no ban of his eating from it. The tree of life was, at creation, designed for his use, to support and maintain his natural life, which would have been continued, had he persisted in his obedience and state of innocence. That tree might be also have been as a sign, token, and symbol to the dependence of Adam on God. Adam received and would continue to receive his life from God, and partly through this tree of life. This, most probably would be continued, provided Adam had not sinned.

Some may ask, What about Jesus? We have eternal life only through Jesus. (Romans 6:23; John 14:6) Do not worry, Jesus was there in the Garden. If Adam walked with a Person in the Garden it would have been the Person of the Godhead bodily, the Lord Jesus Christ. AND Jesus placed the tree of life in the midst of His people as stated in Revelation 22:2.

The tree of knowledge of good and evil. In the midst (middle) also was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Hebrew=good, agreeable, pleasant - and evil bad. (Evil is sometimes defined as consisting of corruption, depravity, sin, obscenity, wickedness) The tree of life, we later will learn would have given Adam everlasting life. Do we also learn that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was to only teach Adam evil, since he was a creation of God Who is Good? But Adam would not yet know evil before sin.

Adam had to have been created before the close of God’s creation. God then pronounced all that HE had made was very good. Genesis 1:31. The two trees are placed there so that Adam could choose good (God) or to obey God. Adam had to decide if he would obey God or give into the rebellion offered to him by the devil.

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. - James 1:12-15

God did not want Adam to sin. However, we have to know that God knew Adam would sin. But rather than send man to hell and the lake of fire for his rebellion, God the Father allowed, God the Son to come to earth, take on the form of a man and live a sinless life as a man. Then this sinless Jesus took on your sins (2nd Corinthians 5:21) and died on that cross to pay your death penalty. This had to be known and planned by God from before the creation of Adam.

However, following Adam taking of the forbidden fruit and eating it, Adam lost the presence of God the Holy Spirit. Adam did experience Spiritual death, immediately on eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

What this tree was is not certain; there are various conjectures about it, and nothing else can be said. Some take it to be the fig tree, because fig leaves were at hand, and immediately made use of to cover the nakedness, on eating the fruit of good and evil. Some say the vine, and particularly the black grape, and the list goes on and on. Yet it is all speculation and conjecture (guesses).

10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden,.... God tells us about the irrigation system of the garden of Eden. Note that "a" stream of water, one river, went out of the garden of Eden to irrigate the land. That one unnamed river was divided into four sets of head waters.

There is speculation as to the rivers involved. One of the more prominent beliefs is that this is the river Euphrates, and it is where it meets the Tigris. They became one stream or river, and as such entered and passed through Eden; and as it was parted into four rivers afterwards, in two of which they retained their names. Another asks was one of these the present river Jordan?

After the flow through Eden the river parted into four rivers. Is this river the forerunner by example of the everlasting love of God and the later river of life? Does it symbolize the river of life? Is it mentioned in Psalms (Psalms 46:4)?

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

The name of the first (of the four) rivers is (was) Pison. The only definition in the Hebrew (5437) is one of the four rivers used to describe the location of the garden of Eden. This stream of water went around the land of Havilah. We can only speculate as to its location at that time, as this was before the world wide flood that destroyed the known world.

Wikipedia states:

The Pishon (Hebrew: Pison) is one of four rivers (along with Hiddekel (Tigris), Perath (Euphrates) and Gihon) mentioned in the Biblical Book of Genesis. In that passage, a source river flows out of Eden to water the Garden of Eden and from there divides into the four named rivers. The Pishon is described as encircling "the entire land of Havilah where is gold; bdellium and onyx stone."

... The Jewish--Roman historian Flavius Josephus, in the beginning of his Antiquities of the Jews (1st century AD) identified the Pishon with the Ganges. The medieval French Rabbi Rashi identified it with the Nile.

Some early modern scholars such as Antoine Augustin Calmet (1672-1757) and later figures such as Ernst Friedrich Karl Rosenmüller (1768–1835), and Kell (1807-1888), believed the source river [for Eden] was a region of springs: They believe the Pishon and Gihon were mountain streams. ...

This speculation in Wikipedia may have been assisted by the fact that the Bible (the Word of God) tells us in Havilah was "gold!!!

That is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. This country had its name from Havilah, one of the sons of Cush, (Genesis 10:7) (His brother was Seba, from whom came the Sabeans, who inhabited one part of Arabia and are the ones who vexed Job. It would seem that because of the Tigris and Euphrates that this would be a country in Arabia.

Justin says; and then it must have its name from Havilah, the son of Joktan, (Genesis 10:29) there was gold. (Note: After the global destruction of Noah's flood, it is doubtful that the location of these rivers could be determined with any degree of certainty today.)

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

And the gold of that land is good. The precious metal gold that is found there is said to be good. (Does this mean of high quality or high karat level?) There is also bdellium (Hebrew defines as gum resin) and onyx (precious gem) (Note: My high school class ring was of onyx, a black stone)

Gold! So where was the gold good? It is understood that Solomon, in collaboration with Phoenician King Hiram, of Tyre (in present day Lebanon), dispatched expeditions of Phoenician mariners to the lands of Ophir to obtain large tonnages of gold. (1st Kings 10:11; 22-23) This land, however, was no where near the other imagined ideas as to the location of Eden and its rivers.

There is the bdellium, and the onyx stone. The first of these is either an aromatic gum; the tree, according to Pliny, is black, and is of the size of an olive tree, has the leaf of an oak, and its fruit is like capers; it is found in Arabia, India, Media, and Babylon. Because of its whiteness and roundness, it is compared to the manna that God sent to feed Israel in the wilderness when they have been delivered from Egypt. (Numbers 11:7).

The other is the onyx, a precious stone. The onyx is a marble found in the mountains of Arabia. (Note: Again after the global destruction of Noah's flood, it is doubtful that the location of these places could be determined with any degree of certainty today.)

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

Gihon: (Wikipedia writes:

Gihon is the name of the second river mentioned in the second chapter of the biblical Book of Genesis. The Gihon is mentioned as one of four rivers (along with the Tigris, Euphrates, and Pishon) issuing out of the Garden of Eden that branched from a single river within the garden.

The name (Hebrew Gion) may be interpreted as "bursting forth, gushing".

The author of Genesis describes Gihon as "encircling the entire land of Cush", a name associated with Ethiopia elsewhere in the Bible. This is the reason that Ethiopians have long identified the Gihon (Giyon) with the Abay River (Blue Nile), which encircles the former kingdom of Gojjam. From a geographic standpoint this would seem impossible, since two of the other rivers said to issue out of Eden, the Tigris and the Euphrates, are in Mesopotamia.

The ... second river is Gihon (bursting forth). That river goes about the land of Ethiopia (Hebrew=Kush [koosh]; Cush = "black") At the historical time of the Genesis, there was no land of Ethiopia that was in existence, since there was no Cush (koosh) who was the father of the Ethiopians. But, as to a location, must we speculate? Why? Where was the garden of Eden? Is that location on land somewhere? Is that location under water? WE do not know.

What we do know is that GOD told Moses that the river goes around Ethiopia. God told Moses these facts, more than one thousand years after the actual events of the garden of Eden and several hundred years after the flood of Noah.

Also there was a river of this name in the land of Israel, which, or a branch of it, flowed near Jerusalem, (1st Kings 1:33) yet, this river does not go around Ethiopia. There is much guess work about the location. It seems to have its name from which signifies to come forth with great force, as this river is said to do, when it pours itself into the Baltic sea.

If the rivers are in Mesopotamia then this river must flow a long way to go to Africa and go about Ethiopia.

The same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. This location being close to the Nile of Egypt may be why some believe we are speaking of the Nile. Some are of the opinion that the Nile and Euphrates were at one time joined. (I do not know the basis for that belief.) Others believe that Ethiopia moved.

I prefer to believe the Bible. In short this information about the name of the river or the moving of the land is not necessary for our understanding or God would have gone into more detail.

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

Hiddekel: Hiddekel [N] [E] (rapid ), one of the rivers of Eden, the river which "goeth eastward to Assyria," (Genesis 2:14) and which Daniel calls "the great river," (Daniel 10:4) seems to have been rightly identified by the Septuagint, with the Tigris. In short again, no one knows for sure if Hiddekel is the Tigris river.

The name of the third river is Hiddekel. ... A river which ran by Shushan in Persia, and retained its name in the times of Daniel, (Daniel 10:4) where it is called the great river. It is called Tigris, from its swiftness, either from the tiger, a swift creature, or from "to dart", in the Chaldee language. That is it which goeth towards the east of Assyria: a country which had its name from Ashur, a son of Shem. (Genesis 10:11)

This is kind of boring, since there is much speculation. And the speculation continues: Nineveh was the metropolis built on the river Tigris or Hiddekel; and, as before observed, (Daniel) it ran by Shushan in Persia. According to God (by Moses) it is one of the rivers of Eden. What else do we really need to know?

Again how can we tell where it was in relationship to present post flood geography? We cannot know. We know that God told Moses to write that the river went toward the east of Assyria. (The Assyrians are from the second son of Shem [Noah's son] whose name was Asshur. Asshur was to build Nineveh and he was to establish Assyria.)

CONCLUSION: We have learned of the beautiful Garden of Eden and its irrigation system of rivers. We admit that we cannot be sure of two things: since the world wide flood of Noah, 1-the location of the Garden of Eden; and 2-the present location and flowing of rivers.

Do All Things Take M-i-l-l-i-o-ns of Years to Develop? If one looks at a recent historical event, the eruption of one volcano, Mt. St. Helens in 1982, we find the lakes and rivers being modified, new streams and rivers appear, huge valleys are carved out, 150,000 (estimated) trees destroyed and some made into floating barges of broken off trees, that have slowly become water soaked and submerged to the bottom. And this must have been multiplied by thousands during the world wide flood of God, during the days of Noah. So we read the Bible and it tells us all that God knows that we need to know.

Speculation and imagination have run wild. There is some evidence such as the name of the river Hiddekel mentioned by Daniel in the Bible book of Daniel. Or the fact that some places which are suspected to be Ophir because of their gold, but we have little and in some cases no Biblical proof. Do not join in these fruitless arguments and conjectures.

Can you (and I) trust that God has told us all that we need to know about these subjects? YES. And if you cannot, what are you (and I) going to do? We cannot get into our time travel vehicles and go back to the flood or creation. We must be content and believe that God has told us all that is necessary. Have faith in God. In all your (and my ways) we are to acknowledge God. We are not to use our own (stinking) thinking or to think ourselves wise. How wise? So wise that we can read the mind of God? Trust Him. He knows what is best.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, again we thank You for Your creation. Not only Your creation of the first man, Adam, not only for the beautiful garden of Eden, not only for the rivers that compassed it about, but for our creation. For it is Your breath and Your Light that ligheth every man that cometh into the world. Thank You for my being. Thank You for this beautiful world which is now marred by sin. Thank You for the world to come. Thank You for Heaven for all who believe. And Lord Jesus thank You for coming into the world to die for my sins so that I do not have to go to hell and the lake of fire. Thank You for taking my sins. Thank You for dying for me. And God the Holy Spirit You have been willing to come into us, and You have chosen to live inside of us. Help us to not grieve You. You are our lifeline. You are the One Who guides us into all truth. Thank You. We ask You to forgive us (me) and pray that You become more important and real to me than You ever have been before. We (I) ask these things in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit). Amen and amen.
