Would Imogen go to Nick for advice, scared, when she realises she does actually like girls? Would she be afraid of the change and what it means for her and go to the one person she knows has been through this recently?

Would she go to Nick because she still feels like she needs to rebuild her relationship with Sahar before being able to ask for her help with something like that?

Or would she try to handle it all on her own and have a breakdown at school until perhaps Tara walks in on her and she starts spilling everything out?

Perhaps would she find some random girl to make out with to try and both figure out and soothe the new thoughts and feelings, only to be walked in on by Sahar who becomes confused and jealous?

As much as she said "everything would be easier if I just liked girls" I just know she'll be afraid and stressed out when she realises that she does, in fact, like girls.

Thank you, everyone relevant on the heartstopper production team, for two things: overlaying lesbian pride flag colours onto Imogen in a moment at the prom where she looks up at Sahar, and having Tara say "interesting" after Imogen chases after Sahar after not having known she's bi.

I found it interesting/useful to make a list of all the songs in Heartstopper Season One paired with what's happening in the show while the song plays, so I decided to do the same for Season Two! Obviously, spoilers ahead:

Heartstopper pitch: Imogen confides in the girls that she's been questioning her sexuality. Darcy, a seasoned lesbian, suggests that she read the lesbian masterdoc. Tara, who has never heard of that, tells Darcy that you can't just get your sexuality off of some online quiz, which causes Darcy to elaborate on the masterdoc. Elle, who looked at the doc while questioning her own sexuality, says that not all the points on it are good. Sahar, a seasoned bisexual, says that it's a bunch of crap that ignores bi women- hell, basically any women who has ever been made uncomfortable by men or just wants different things out of life. Tara, now fully engaged in this debate, pulls it up so they can all look at it, while Imogen stands off slightly indignant that they're not helping her right this second. Darcy swears that she doesn't remember it being like this, to which Sahar points out that it's literally an archived page (even so, Darcy will still scroll through it for months). Elle admits that even a Buzzfeed quiz might be more helpful than this. Sahar decides to look for a lesbian quiz that doesn't ignore bisexuals. Tara suggests that Imogen try looking for some real-world experience, which Darcy interprets as a euphemism. Imogen looks tentatively across the group, who all focus extra hard on whichever phone screen is closest to them. Annoyed that no one is up to experiment with her, she huffily declares that she'll find "her own lesbian" to experiment with, then clarifies "or bisexual or WHATEVER", then walks off before she can say anything else wrong. Elle muses that the remaining four can form LGBT on their own, and they all immediately suggest dressing in their respective pride flags for the next parade. Meanwhile, Imogen finds herself attracted to a femme guy after she sneaks into a local gay pub and has to get reassured by an older butch that, no, she is not fetishising gay men or gay culture by being attracted to him. Then she vows to stop wearing makeup and being a slave to 'the man'. The credits roll to Boys Wanna Be Her by Peaches.

So over the weekend I finally watched all of heartstopper season 1 & 2 and honestly? I really liked it.

I'm glad I waited though, because while it wasn't as intense as I was afraid it might be, it still had a few scenes that would have got to me had I not prepared myself.

I even started on the webcomic last night, on page 101 rn I think. They are in Paris and Nick is about to introduce Charlie to his dad.

It's actually not as good as the show tbh.

I like Aled but he doesn't really have as much character/plot as Issac and I don't really like how Charlie finds out about Tao accidentally outing him through him.

In the show, Tao tells Charlie himself, admits to how guilty he'd been feeling about it and they have a good conversation about it. But in the comic, Aled is the one to tell Charlie after Charlie tells him about dating Nick, later on, they have a small argument when Tao finds out and then Tao forgives him like on the next page?

Like, I get it, but damn, Aled just went right out and told Charlie he shouldn't tell Tao just because he might out them on accident. Give Tao a little more credit than that, yeah?

Also, they don't really show other characters getting development like in the show. And I adore Imogen and her interactions with the group. Sahar barely appears too.

Ben doesn't even appear after the SA scene? He's definitely not in Paris with them. I like how they have to deal with Ben in the show, that he's a shadow following them and then he gets his ass handed to him by Imogen. It's very satisfying.

Little sad with how....little story actually happens in the webcomic compared to the show at the moment.

I feel the show goes more in depth with things than the comic. And some of the scenes are definitely played out in a more satisfying way in my opinion.

Maybe it's better later in the web comic but from what I've read so far, I like the show better.

Especially since in the show we get more Tara and Darcy/Elle and Tao and we even get Issac learning about himself! Also, it takes Nick just a little longer to realize he's Bi and It feels a little more... Real?

Not saying some people don't figure out their sexuality quickly/faster than others, but seeing Nick struggle with coming to terms with the fact that he likes a boy for the first time? It's relatable.

Anyway, long story short, I watched heartstopper and I definitely get the hype now. It's a good web comic, even better show.
