The Oni couldn’t help but stare at the other.  Confused, he couldn’t help but wonder what was going throw her head. He knew better -- he couldn’t. But whenever she removed her mask to make read her lips, he couldn’t help but feel something strange going on inside of him.

Was he mistaken? did she just mouth 

I love you? 

Why, Itto knew she would always be there for him. he knew that there was a spark, but he couldn’t ever put his own mind to it. he didn’t want to mess things up bettween them. what if they didn’t work out? What if something bad happens? He knew he was a strong Oni, but he wasn’t the brightest. he would always be the type of person to protect her to the very end. She has always been there for him, he couldn’t just -  a sniffle from his nose, the huge Oni move closer and move down to meet her eye-level. 

Not to be rude or anything, but to see those pretty eyes for a moment. he bought a smile to his face, and maybe even tears started to show but he shook his head out of it and he mouthed back, 

                                                          ‘ i love you too ‘ 

full knowing she would be able to read it, but --  part of him should have made it known that he should use his voice. but he shook that thought for a moment and lean over and kissed her cheek before getting back to her feet. 

Itto was scared of ANYONE loving him. Then again she --- knew the pain he had to deal with. she was patching him up always and taking care of him when he is sick, and never leaving him. he should have seen this coming. Even if he didn’t want to make his love known, now -- he had that freedom to show it. 

              “ You know, you’re the best right? I won’t ever fail you, or allow you to get hurt? I’ll always take the hits, because I know you always will have my back, yeah? I know I'm dumb a lot, but I mean the best? “ he chuckle. “ I won’t ever allow you to be unhappy again, alright?”

inazuma. lumine finds herself in the nation once again. working on commissions for the adventurer’s guild keeps her busy, but it gives her an excuse to visit her friends from each area pretty regularly. today, she spots the deputy leader of the arataki gang. lumine gives a half-wave to the masked woman, and lips turn upwards at the corners. how is the arataki gang doing these days? the few things she’s heard from others have been good. shinobu must balance out itto in a way that makes his.. enthusiasm more productive.

one foot in front of the other, and lumine crosses the many feet between them. only when she’s close enough does she speak.

❝ shinobu, hi. how are things? is the gang doing okay? ❞

with a bright smile, she looks around. there's only shinobu today and lumine isn't sure if that's a good or bad thing. while she likes itto a lot, he can be a bit much at times. and she worries about his wellbeing. knowing shinobu is there to keep things in order and rein him in.. it's a comfort. seeing that shinobu is out and about without him makes her a bit anxious for him.
