I feel its important for me to say, but death threats @ proshippers are wrong and gross!! I'm not proship, and trauma has caused me to be extremely bitter towards the whole concept of proship, but that DOESNT MEAN you should harass them or send them threats!! Apparently I got put on an "anti blocklist" so I wanna clarify I don't identify with that label. I think ship discourse is kind of redundant. Don't get me wrong, proship is a problem but having labels like "antiSHIP" and "proSHIP" feels like ignoring the problem and in fact just egging these people on. Proship is a problem because it supports misrepresentation but having "antiship" is just??

Basically I don't think there needs to be communities around this at all. Because being against the spread of misrepresentation is not "antiship" it's just. Common sense. If you don't spread harmful misrepresentation through your ships/fiction then cool, I do not care, do what you want. But if your ship/fiction does then congrats! You're spreading misrepresentation and it's harmful. <-- that right there is not "anti behavior", that is common moral. Which is why I think having "antiship" as a label isn't needed. Of course, as I said before, that doesn't mean proship isn't a problem, because it is, but basically "Antiship" is common sense and doesn't need to be labeled (for me I feel like it would be going down to their level, not to say that's how it is for everyone) But that's basically how I feel.

A proshipper is someone who is pro-shipping, as in they support your right to ship things, and that includes taboo things such as pedophilia, incest, zoophilia, etc.

You don't have to ship these things to be proship, as long as you believe that people shouldn't be harassed for what they ship then you're proship.

Anti-anti is just as it sounds, the opposite of proship is antiship or antiproship which means you believe people should be harassed for what they ship, and that ships should stay pure and match your irl morals. Anti-anti is just another way of saying you're proship.
