i barely ship anyone at all but i personally think pro vs anti is a false binary and trying to categorize it into two neat categories and acting like theres nothing in between will never get you anywhere a proshipper to one person can be an anti to another. i do not identify with either label because again, i do not ship much at all in the first place to weigh in. im restricting it to a binary for the purposes of data gathering because im pretty sure if i put a "i dont engage with this" it will be the top result and I'll have gotten no useful information out of it.

i added the "due to peer pressure" arguments because i feel like this is such a "cancellable" topic that people on both sides will attempt to act as the other in order to appease followers and friends.

i have a pretty big following on this blog and i love gathering data if you have any other ideas for polls about pro vs anti discourse cuz as a shipping outsider its so interesting to me.

note this is data gathering not figuring out whos correct or siding with one side or the other its a census kinda

#exploring these things in fiction is okay #it becomes a problem when you start sharing things entirely publically or . like so many people . start actively advocating for laws agains #pedophilia or incest to be weakened or even removed because you have a fetish #its fine to have a fetish but be extremely mindful of who you share that stuff to and who you interact with while exploring it #and do not encourage actual harm of others because of it #and do not act like that fetish is the only way of healing (because so many people do and that ends up hurting even more) #also when i say publically i mean putting written or drawn child sexually exploitative material in the main tags of places #without any care for the other people interacting with those spaces. #even if that kid isnt real or whatever its still deeply harmful #tl;dr: EZ RULES: #1. dont fuck kids #2. dont fuck animals #3. dont force people to see sexual stuff they dont want to . especially if that sexual stuff is emulating irl harmful stuff #4. dont be racist or queerphobic or w/e (yes that is relevant) #5. otherwise GO HAM

#reblogging bc we also view this as a false binary but we also recognize that the current majority is #that people who consider themselves antishippers are against abuse (even if they take it too far. i have seen many take it too far) #and proshippers are for it #irl or in fiction #glorification or conversation #i feel like having conversations abt abuse is one of the only ways to prevent it and definitely one of the only ways 2 heal abt it #and to some antishippers that would get me branded as proship which is erm. mildly terrifying #but also the majority of proshippers i have seen have been okay with irl abuse or actually advocated for it being legalized #have allowed minors and adults alike to get hurt and encouraged them to hurt themselves or others around them for their personal enjoyment #have claimed that if we do not actively uplift and platform homophobes we will be just as bad as puritans #obviously that last one is a tiny minority of like 5 people but the fact anyone can think like that ... terrifiesd me #so i still identify as antiship when talking to people who care abt that stuff #but in general i am anti=abuse and anti-censorship and anti-harassment #even though the latter two have been legitimately twisted to mean 'pro-pedophilia' #sorry if this is considered starting an argumernt op /genuine

hello i am mod solar smth or another. solar flair o think. uh. this blog is currently on hiatus because nobody wants to make inages. if you want to make your own images for this blog message me on @klugpuuo or just pist your inage and @ mention us so we can rb it

our reasons for hiatus are like a lot, byt our main issues were the rudeness of certain requesters + the community as a whole. we no longer identify as "antiship", recognizing that although the term was made in good faith, it's reductive of the issue - that issue being the sexual exploitation of minors, and the use of fiction to further it.

as we still hage some attachment to this username, and we dont want others to use it un bad faith, we will not be changing it, but know we no longer consider ourselves "anti ship", sinply against abuse. we still support and welcome those who consider themselves antiship, we just dint use rhat term anymore.

thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years, and to everyone reading this. we will try to make some more posts later, but for now we're just reblogging psas until our energy is back up.
