Warning, opinion is absolutely not positive. Pretty much. And I added the anti gaalee / anti leegaa / anti gaara tags, so please don't come complain aa(not at you pal, but at people that may find this later)

- Why don't you ship it?

First of all, and to make it clear, a big reason i hate it is because I lost a close family member right when I first saw their Chunin fight. I was sensible these dates and then BOOM- comfort character almost killed. And someone lied to me and said Lee never became a ninja... imagine how i felt LMFAO

Now for in-canon reasons. Gaara basically almost kills Lee in the exam, and then when Lee was in the hospital, HE WENT TO HIS ROOM TO TRY AND MURDER HIM. AGAIN.

i see people defend "Oh bUt THey HaD tO fiGht" not in the hospital room. Gaara was perfectly aware that Lee wouldn't be able to fight back, and yet went to try and "finish him off". I absolutely despise this.

And let's be realistic you don't come out of that without trauma,, even if Kishimoto is terrible with writing it's common sense? im super annoyed that it was brushed off and super easily forgiven lol.

i dont give a shit abt "sexual tension" you do Not pair someone with the person that tried to murder them two times...

And what? Does changing erases the murder attempt? Why does people keep telling me that when i complain 😶😶

I also don't remember gaara actually apologizing, but that may be because i was grieving when i saw the sasuke retrieval arc so i don't remember. But im still pissed off.

And then he grabbed him with the sand that almost kills him;; i felt super angry because- that's literally what almost kills him *annoyed morty sounds*

Well that's. Basically it.

And some (not all, i met a few that didn't try to keep convincing me to like it) of the shippers get mad when i say i don't like it oop

Also. Yes gaara had trauma. But ?? Having trauma doesn't give you a fucking free pass to do whatever the fuck you want, you know? So. STOP BRINGING THAT UP. You can think of doing something because of that, but actually doing it ,, sometimes its uncontrollable and i understand. but you have to actually apologize?? and i dont remember gaara directly apologizing at Lee, or at his siblings, for what he did before friendship-no-justu.

Well, huh. That's mostly it. Plus, things i like and dislike are based on my interactions in-fandom, and some shippers were absolutely awful with me- called me the r-word for not liking it, a dumbass that "broke the best pairing". And some spammed an instagram mutual's comment section to say that nl sucks, and other person sent me messages ¿? Over naruto ships. Yeah.

Mm. I think this covers it all? I don't really care if someone feels offended, this is how i think, and the more people defend it the more i dislike it ^^"
