I mean, I wouldn't say a whole short story confirming Pharah as a lesbian and Baptiste as bi is nothing. But yeah, some in-game voicelines would have been fun...

Ana: Oh I knew. I immediately knew. You could see it from a mile away. I remember you were on a soccer team and you were fond of this little boy and his mother said the two of you were cute together and I just burst out laughing in her face.

Tracer: Growing up in a small town, did you always know?

Soldier 76: There was always a feeling, but I didn't really let myself explore it until I was traveling the world. Even then, I was still in the military, so it was one of those things I didn't want to be the... defining thing about me to my squad mates.

Tracer: But you were pretty open about it with Overwatch!

Soldier 76: Vincent helped a lot with that. But also... Overwatch was this new thing. I realized, I could help make it this new thing.

Tracer: It meant a lot to me. :)

Soldier 76: That was the hope.

LifeWeaver: Not that picky. Different kinds of couples look good on their brochures, after all. All they ask is that you give up everything else interesting about you.

Okay, so we know Eddie gets jealous and possessive of Buck when Buck meets/flirts with someone, but my question is: what would it take for Buck to get all jealous and blatantly possessive over Eddie? I know he's been put off and kind taken aback when Eddie started dating Ana but that's all. (At least I think. My memory ain't the best)

Honestly we’ve seen Buck be jealous throughout the show, but it’s not as blatantly obvious as Eddie is. Where Eddie is more obvious and possessive, Buck is slightly more subtle in a very unlike Buck way. Here are some moments where we’ve had peak jealous!Buck.

Back in season 2 when Shannon comes back, we see the first few moments of Buck being jealous. They’re all in such subtle ways that someone would probably not consider he was jealous upon first glance. When Eddie is telling him about sleeping with Shannon again, Buck’s entire body language is closed off and he seems like he really doesn’t want to be in that conversation at all. The way he shakes his shoulders and doesn’t want to look Eddie in the eyes when he says, “You said it best brother” is typical deflating and minor jealousy on his part. We know he is because even when he’s complaining to Chimney about Eddie sleeping with his wife again, it seems like he’s upset that Eddie kept that away from him of all people.

Then, when Eddie is FaceTiming Shannon, we come to find out that Buck was just casually lurking around in the background when he jumps off the truck. Again, his facial expressions show he’s jealous over Eddie rekindling things with his wife. His little attitude response when Eddie asks him if they would have to get married again, further proves he’s not being a supportive friend, even though he’s trying to be. He’s very sarcastic and he immediately walks away from that whole situation, almost as if the idea of Eddie remarrying his wife is something that doesn’t sit well with Buck.

In season 3, the first glimpse we get of jealous!Buck is when he visits the firehouse when he’s a fire Marshall and sees Bosko. In that moment when she calls out Diaz, you can see Buck squint his eyes and close off immediately. He gets all prickly when he asks Bobby, “Uh who is that?” The man literally couldn’t help himself. He walked up to her name and ripped it off his nameplate. Show me a more jealous behavior than that please?!

Later on, the mere mention of Ana made Buck all prickly. But once again, whereas Eddie is overtly obvious in his jealous when it pertains Buck, Buck is the opposite. He says things that Eddie told him in confidence. Sure that’s not a good trait but we should look at how he says those things.

When he blurts out that Eddie may have met someone but he bit her head off, he purposefully mentions it in front of Bobby. Sometimes, when someone is jealous, they can’t help what comes out of their mouths. Clearly Buck is bothered by it because he says something Eddie told him in confidence, and then puts on that innocent expression, almost as if to say, oops I didn’t mean to 🥹. That’s a typical jealous behavior and once more it speaks volumes as to how much Buck dislikes the topic of Eddie with any other woman. He could have been supportive in that moment but he didn’t even try to be.

We all know how this episode ended and who was shown to be the better partner for Eddie in the end and it wasn’t Ana.

Before I continue about the topic of Ana and Buck’s subtle (or not so subtle) jealousy, let’s all remember the crossover episode. Sure we got a glimpse of Eddie being jealous and going so far as to playfully punch Buck’s arm because he thought he was looking at Marjan. But what a lot of people don’t talk about is Buck’s reaction to finding out Eddie is actually pairing up with Marjan.

He was all excited to be able to work with his partner in crime to tackle this wildfire. When Eddie broke the news that he won’t be working with Buck, we saw hurt flash momentarily in his eyes. But that was nothing compared to him realizing who Eddie would be working with. Once again, he squints his eyes and seems upset that not only will they not be working together, but Eddie would be working with the fabulous Firefox.

You can see how Buck does a full body wince. He’s taken aback. It’s not obvious, but it’s there. He looks on in disbelief because he can’t fathom his partner willingly working with anyone that’s not him. Not even that, but with the supremely competent, female firefighter. He seems to be at a loss for words and I find their entire interaction in this moment hilarious because Eddie was too smug for his own good. He knew exactly what he was doing and what games he was playing with Buck. Nobody can convince me that Eddie didn’t purposefully choose to work with Marjan to somehow make Buck jealous, almost to get back at him for staring at her earlier in the day. Case in point, both men were jealous over a woman who couldn’t be any less interested in either man lol.

Upon the reappearance of Ana in Eddie’s life, we got to see Buck losing his grip on his subtle jealousy. The second Eddie mentions running into Ana again, Buck doesn’t even wait to bring her up in front of the team when he casually asks Eddie what he thinks Ana’s love language is. When Eddie looks at him in a I can’t believe you said that right now way, Buck just puts on his little innocent eyes and shrugs, almost as if he didn’t realize it was meant to be a secret. He did the same when he blurted out about Ana to Bobby back in season 3. You can clearly tell he’s not sorry for letting everyone know Eddie ran into Ana again. It’s definitely a sign of jealousy when one person can’t help but talk about the person who may possibly be their competition in such a way that can bring forth negative reactions. He was hoping that would be the case here when he brought up her name because by the teams reactions, it was obvious that they weren’t all that happy about her reappearance. But of course to Buck, it didn’t register that he should be a supportive friend because he had his green googles on and frankly didn’t care to support his partner on his possible new romance.

We also get to see a glimpse of Buck’s facial expression in the end of that episode when Eddie tells the team he has other plans. The camera focuses on Bobby sure, but you can definitely see Buck squinting his eyes in disbelief. They don’t keep things away from each other and that is the first time Buck is clearly hearing about Eddie’s other plans. So I’m sure he had put two and two together and realized in that moment that Eddie is going to be meeting up with Ana. He kinda looks upset and looks away from Eddie, almost as if he really can’t believe his partner is choosing someone else to spend his time with. His expression is peak jealousy here but again, in the subtle, blink or you won’t notice kinda way.

It’s funny that we didn’t see these two talking about Eddie’s relationship at all. The next time we see Buck somewhat acting in a subtle jealous manner is when he was babysitting for Eddie. You can tell he really didn’t care for Eddie’s date but something was eating inside him where he just had to ask about the date. The way he went about it was most definitely not a best friend being genuinely supportive and interested but of someone who seemed to be wanting to torture themselves with knowledge they didn’t want or need. He was stuttering, almost as if it was a hassle to even get those words out.

Also, a key thing to remember about Buck during the whole Eddie/Ana phase is that he started dating the same exact time Eddie did. If that isn’t a key jealous behavior, a sort of way to preserve his own heartbreak and get out there to forget about the possible love of his life dating someone who is not him, then idk what that is.

The final time I believe we see Buck acting in a jealous manner is in the beginning of season 5, where the team is teasing Eddie about meeting Ana’s family and how serious things are getting. His facial expressions are super forced and he’s not being genuine with his support. The way he can’t even look Eddie in the eyes when he says, “Sounds pretty serious” speaks for itself. Not only that but you can kinda hear the pain in his voice. He’s now realizing that things really are becoming serious with them and that he may possibly be losing Eddie.

His lingering looks to Eddie just confirms how he rather not be having that conversation but he can’t help steal looks at the man who possibly means more than anything to him.

There’s just so much there that is left unspoken between these two. Buck has shown to be jealous throughout the entirety of him knowing Eddie. It’s just not as loud and as obvious as Eddie has been. They’re the opposite of their typical personalities. Where Eddie is normally reserved and calm, when he becomes jealous over Buck, he becomes possessive and loud. Where Buck is outgoing and loud, he becomes sassy and closed off when he’s jealous. I mean I would love to see Buck become a bit possessive in a healthy way soon but I guess we’re gonna have to wait and see. Just know that we have had moments where we’ve seen Buck act jealous over other people in Eddie’s life, it’s just not as obvious!

I don't think I'm neurodivergent but there is this phenomenon called maladaptive daydreaming. It's usually developed from a very young age by children who were bullied or bored, usually both. It's not classified as a mental illness but if it goes unchecked it can actually interfere with your life, so it should be managed.

One time when my parents were home I spent a good 9 hours just sitting on the couch, listening to music and swaying left right, left right, just making up scenarios. I didn't eat or go to the bathroom at all during those 9 hours. I was horrified when I saw how much had passed because it did NOT feel like it was that much.

Ana, the reason it's taken me 2 whole weeks to answer this is because you have utterly and wholly terrorized me. I relate to this so hard. 😭😭

quick question, did you have headphones on? And where you listening to new songs or your fav songs? Cause I can kinda get getting lost in a trance to new or fav songs and lose track of time dreaming of a perfect life. Still, nine hours is a LONG time. I'm surprised your parents didn't interfere. My parents see me doing anything "unproductive" for more than an hour and automatically they find something for me to do (usually some sort of chore our study topic) 😭🤣😭🤣

the thing with me is that I don't think I ever really stop daydreaming. It's never even at the back of my head either, it's always somewhere in the forefront no matter what I'm doing. Like some super normal thing will be happening and my brain just automatically goes "Okay here's a list of 10+ scenarios that could simultaneously be happening right now." You'd be surprised how many of those scenarios include fictional characters and my obvious need for real human interactions. Then before I know it I've completely lost track of what was/is happening in class.

That's also why I kinda need to associate what I'm studying with some sort of fictional media "theme" so 1) I can actually motivate myself to study and 2) even if I do black out and start daydreaming there's this little lifeline that can kinda drag me back.

I don't really think I'm neurodivergent either (although lately, I think that ADHD may be the explanation for a lot of things I do). I can't say I had the best childhood. Home life was perfectly fine, my dad was strict but my family was very loving. But I was bullied a lot in school. From elementary to middle school. I guess that's why I'm so obsessed with fictional characters. Because with them I can feel like I belong. I'm free to make up scenarios where everything is fine. Sorry, this got super sappy. 😣😆😣

On the bright side, I can now add "maladaptive daydreaming" as part of my skills in my resume 🤣🤣

Ana and John break up while she's pregnant?! omg why? bestieee tell me the tea

so here’s what happened…

Sometimes it was hard for Ana, being by herself so much. Of course she had Hailey by her side, but John was gone so often. She knew it wasn’t his fault, she knew his job was demanding, but that eased none of the hurt she felt. There were still some days she felt like she was going through the pregnancy by herself.

One night, Ana had a really fallen and went to the hospital because she was absolutely terrified something had happened to the baby. She and Hailey both called John a hundred times knowing the boys were already at their hotel, but he never answered. Hailey ended up calling Nico and he said he wasn’t sure where they went off to, and he would try and find him, but it was still silence from John. At least, not until several hours later.

“What,” Ana snapped as soon as she answered the call.

“Woah, princess,” John laughed, assuming her attitude was related to her hormones, “Everything okay?”

“Yeah, John. Everything’s fine, but you wouldn’t fucking know if it wasn’t,” Ana’s voice was sharp and deadly as angry tears slid down her cheeks.

“What are you talking about,” John shook his head at Jack who was waving at him.

“I fell tonight. Luckily it wasn’t that bad, but I fell on my stomach. Something could’ve happened to the baby, and you never would’ve known because you didn’t answer your fucking phone.”

Ana was trying to keep her feelings in check, she really was, but it was hard. Last night she realized that maybe she couldn’t count on John like she thought she could. This was the first time something serious had happened and she needed him to at least know, but he couldn’t even pick up the phone. Maybe he was too busy for this after all.

John realized he fucked up as soon as she said she fell. He knew turning his phone off while he hung out with the guys was a bad idea, especially with a pregnant girlfriend at home, but it was just for a few hours. He knew it was bad, and the fact that he knows he shouldn’t have done it made him feel so much worse. In fact, it made him feel like he was making empty promises to Ana. That maybe she was better off without him.

“I’m sorry,” He choked out, not knowing what to say.

“You’re sorry,” She manically laughed, “You’re sorry. God, John, do you even want this baby? Do you even want us?”

Ana knew she was jumping to conclusions, making heavy accusations based off of one incident, but she couldn’t help it. Last night truly put just how unavailable John could be for her, and she was scared of that. She had let her mind wander to dangerous places, formulating wicked stories in her head as to what he could’ve been doing, but Hailey quickly eased her mind because even she knew John wouldn’t do that to her.

John was frozen, the phone pressed to his ear as her words rang in his mind. Of course he did. He wanted to marry Ana. He wanted to have a family and grow old with her, but maybe she would be better off with someone who wasn’t him. Someone who’d always pick up the phone. Someone who would always be there.

John’s silence told Ana all she knew, and it absolutely tore her apart when she said the four words she never thought she would ever say to John. “I guess we’re done.”

Thank you to @nocturnalazure, @kimmiessimmies and @marcishaun for the question! 😘❤️I decided to answer in one post and with only one sim because I'm having a bit of a busy weekend, I had a small window of time to sit down and do this and I really didn't want to leave anyone behind, so I hope that's not a problem. 😉

TONY LANGERAK

I'm sure nobody expected this, but Tony Langerak was my first ever favorite sim, 'favorite' being understood as a sim you can't stop playing with and that also has its own story. So for this time and in answer to my dear three mutuals who asked me this question, I am going to list 5 facts about my beloved Tony. 💙

THE FACTS:

Fact # 1

Tony Langerak is not technically an OC of mine because he was born in game, but his looks and personality are totally my creation. As his last name says, he is descended from the Langeraks of Sunset Valley; he's Dustin's great grandson and Parker's grandson. He was born in Hidden Springs, then he migrated to Starlight Shores, then back to Hidden Springs, and finally settled in Island Paradise. He has a twin brother, Mike; they are not really identical but if you dress and style them alike, they will look very similar! (BTW, Mike is married to the famous singer Miranda Cho, sister of another famous singer Michelle Cho, both Dale' Cho's aunts. This is where the Langerak and Cho families meet!). Tony is and adult (around the middle 40s), and belongs to generation four of The Kamels of Hidden Springs (One gen before the Cho Brothers). In addition to having a twin, Tony has two older sisters who are also twins, Kamillah and Lillian. And a brother older than all of them, Kurt.

Fact #2

Tony didn't go to college; his dream was to be a writer (Illustrious Author). To pursue it, he moved to Starlight Shores with his twin brother and the two of them worked hard to get to the top. It was there that Tony met his first wife, outstanding acrobat Cassandra Steele. His stay at Starlight Shores didn't last long though, as he became an explorer and traveled all around the world to get relics to sell, making money very quickly. His aspiration then changed drastically, now his desire was to have a Private Museum, which he eventually achieved. Also, after getting practically all the treasures he could in his adventures around the world, Tony managed to achieve his primary aspiration which was to become a famous writer. He began writing about his travels, and then he continued with novels of all genres, including an autobiography.

Fact #3

In terms of skills, Tony is quite talented and multifaceted, not only mastering writing but also painting, sculpting, and in his spare time, he plays the drums. He's a seasoned traveler and explorer, he's a professional diver, he's an expert in martial arts, and he practices meditation. Additionally, and thanks to Jeannine, he knows all the secrets of nectar making, has his own vineyard and wine cellar, and, of course, he has his own winery in his vacation home in France.

Fact #4

Today, Tony leads a fairly peaceful life, but it wasn't always easy, it may have been full of successes, but it was also full of failures, mainly his love life, which was quite chaotic. He married very young to Cassandra Steele, but during their marriage, on one of his trips to Champs Les Sims, he met Jeannine Lambert with whom he had an affair that later turned into a steady romance. For a while, Tony led a double life, being unfaithful to Cassandra (perhaps due to his commitment issues). When he finally confessed to Cassandra about his affair with Jeannine, she asked him for a divorce. Tony begged her for a long time to forgive him, but Cassandra wouldn't budge, and they ended up separating. The post-divorce period was a very dark time for Tony, during which he drank himself into an alcoholic. It was difficult for him to get out of it, but he finally did and, once sober, he made the heartbreaking decision to forget Cassandra forever and propose marriage to Jeannine.

Fact #5

Jeannine was not Tony's only romance. After his divorce from Cassandra, Tony had several other affairs, including a marriage with Mia Azul, the red-haired mermaid from Island Paradise; a more or less long relationship with Aislara Alvarez with whom he had a son; and even a steamy affair with Adaeze Min in Shang Simla. But all that is already behind him (apparently), he is now happily married to Jeannine and lives with her and their four children in Island Paradise. Jeannine has been trying to convince him to move permanently to their house in Champs Les Sims, but Tony is not sure, as he is very attached to the island. Recently Cassandra called him and asked him to meet to discuss an undisclosed matter, will she come back to disrupt Tony's life again, or will she let him finally enjoy his peaceful marriage with Jeannine? We will see!

Additional note: Tony and Cassandra's story has been on hiatus for like two years or more now, but it's still going on in my imagination, lol. I hope to resume it soon.

Additional note 2: I know the answer to this ask was supposed to be only 5 facts, but you know, I'm a compulsive storyteller, plus when I start talking about my sims there's no stopping me, so they weren't really 5, but more like five groups of many. 😋
