Honestly, it is the very addictive and motivating gameplay. Just having always something to build and tinker around until your town is the best in the world, it is glorious and so fun. It sometimes is hard to stop. The historical setting is a huge bonus though, because I love the 19th century's fashion. The whole game is taking place in the industriual revolution and they KNEW how to dress back then. It is just fun to zoom in and look at them doing stuff in your town all while wearing awesome hats. I also had a good laugh at one of the NPC rivals. If you do stuff in the game, you often get comments and plus or minus points with them. I once did a thing and someone commented positively on it and then this guy commented negatively and said "I hate you both!" It was such situational comedy, it was glorious. I also like to see how they actually did things back then. Yesterday I was streaming to my friend and we watched the fire department go to work and it was so cool to see that they had to use horse carriages to get their equipment to the burning houses. I love just taking a backseat and watching a little.

This is a game I always love to return to. I replay it on a regular basis. I have played it so often that at this point, I finally have the money-situation mostly under control - which means A LOT when it comes to me, because I suck with money not just in real life but also in games. Which is fun, because I play games like this, were you have to handle your money carefully ever since I was a child. Just shows that I am not meant to handle money well ^^’

Its also a game that doesn’t take that much time. So its nice for a slow weekend or so.

The cost in Gold shown in the Caravanserai delivery notification was displayed incorrectly. Ships in the "Historic Battle" Quest can now shoot back! Purchasing the second or third stage "Occidental Shipbuilding" Attainment sometimes led to all the Goods over 40 tons being thrown overboard by the Ships involved. The title "World Traveler" is now correctly displayed in the title selection. Fixed a bug which allowed the player to multiply the Goods on a Ship through skillful movement between the Ship's cargo slots. Fixed a bug in mission 7 in which, under certain conditions, a black pearl necessary for completion of the mission was not given to the player. This bug has been fixed and uploads to the Gateway to the World should now be much more stable. In some cases uploads to the Gateway to the World failed. Savegames in user-content scenarios are no longer corrupted when a fellow player is vanquished in that scenario. Players can now also connect to the Gateway to the World under Windows 7. Construction time for the Large Oriental Trading Ship has been doubled. Buildings and fields may now be rotated by pressing the middle mouse button. Players can no longer see the routes taken by opposing Transport ships.

Sultan Quests are now available even if players do not have Noblemen in their City. The cooldown period between individual Quests for the Emperor and the Sultan has been reduced.

Terraria, Minecraft, Detective Grimoire and Anno 1404 were all some of the first video games I played (that i remember and had an impact on me), and as some of you notice my idea of a goblin is heavily influenced by the Tinkerer from Terraria, so my idea of a goblin is much more ''civilised'' than alot of other peoples.

I recently decided to give Endzone: A World Apart a shot and I quickly want to give my thoughts on it. Now, I don't have the best track record when it comes to city builder games as my experience with city builders is Anno 1404 and Age Of Empire II and I refunded both of those games as they were just flat out boring to me.

I tried so so hard to get into this game, I really did. However, this game actively did everything it possibly could to turn me away from it and it actually didn't have to do with the gameplay itself. Yeah, the gameplay isn't all that bad. It's a post apocalyptic strategy city building game and that is what you do. You have to make sure that your settlers have enough water and food, make sure they are educated so that they can be more efficient in their profession, make sure they have enough of the proper tools and protective clothing and make sure you avoid radiation too.

There is a tutorial that teaches you the basics that I did get through but not without issue which I'll get into later. Once I got through the tutorial, I jumped into an easy difficulty Survival Mode which is kind of like an endless mode where you just, well, survive. However, things got very confusing very quickly. My settlers needed protective clothing but, for whatever reason, my tailors were not making it even though they had the resources and were assigned to make those things but, they just were not. There was a lot of other things that were confusing me and so I just needed to take a break and step back from the game.

Now, let me talk about issues with the game. I am going to start with the one that does pertain to gameplay and that is when I was going back through the tutorial and was at the part where I had to assign woodcutting and scrap gathering and then had to wait until about 20 of each had accumulated. But, that never happened as I hit the storage limit...in the tutorial. I was, of course, unable to build a storeroom because that's not apart of this tutorial so, I actually couldn't complete this tutorial even though it was my second time doing it.

But, the biggest issues came in the form of this damn game crashing all the damn time. The first time through the tutorial, I got a bit after the crop planting part, about 16 minutes in and the game crashed. Now, all the graphics settings were on high by default. Another thing that made the game crash is that you can't have the game be set to "exclusive fullscreen" in the graphics setting. But, even with the game's graphics settings set to low and on the borderless windowed mode, the game still persists to crash which happened on my second time through the tutorial and that was the final straw for me.

I've played more than two hours so I can't refund the game and that is partially my fault for giving the game more of a chance. This is, for me, the third city builder game that didn't work out and I think that I am honestly done trying to get into city builder games.
