SAM opens the room door. He pulls off his overshirt; his T-shirt is bloodsoaked. He cuts up through the bloodstain to reveal a bleeding wound. He pours hydrogen peroxide on it and goes into the hole with a pair of something resembling tweezers, with which he pulls out a bullet. He stitches the wound.
SAM cleans a gun, facing a wall of maps and newspaper clippings and security-camera stills featuring the Trickster, arranged in neat lines with none overlapping.
He sits up stiffly and makes the bed with military precision. He goes into the bathroom and brushes his teeth.
In the Dream House, Carmen Maria Machado & Sam Winchester.
&&. 13x21 Beat the Devil, 13x22 Exodus, 3x11 Mystery Spot, 11x17 Red Meat, 11x02 Form and Void.

If Holly absolutely fucks up the lake while in the past because she's trying to push clan rules/traditions onto them, does that give her any insight on how the clan code is broken and hurtful or does she think its a her problem? Also would Holly/Fallen ever feel comfortable becoming leader again (hollystar hollystar hollysta-) or does the whole experience haunt her too much?
Not only does the experience haunt her, Fallenleaf has completely sworn off power. It feels below her now.
She is a product of this society, thrown into the past and enforcing the ideals of modern Clans on her distant ancestors, and it's put it into perspective. How wrong this feels. How ugly these ideals really are. Even if she did become leader again... think about what's necessary to rule the Clans.
You have to be forceful and confident. You have to be diplomatic. You have to signal power to the other leaders and be a comfort to your own Clan. A leader the meant to give their lives to protect and save their Clanmates, acting as the ideal warrior for all cats to aspire to be.
Fallenleaf is a god. Or, she's the vessel of one, kept locked away in her chest. For a while she tried to be part of the Clan and just be a normal warrior, but borders, battles... it's all so pointless. Performative, even. They all pretend to be strong and ferocious warriors, but they're just cats in the woods at the end of the day.
So how is that fair? For a deity to be at the beck and call of Bramblestar, the petty tyrant. To pretend like Dovewing wasn't right to bolt out of ThunderClan. To act like borders aren't just where some stinky cat has sprayed on a tree. The rules are made up, the goal is a formality, this is all a type of game.
If she participates in this... then how is she really any better than Sol?
And so, the death of Hollylark is the last straw for her. She's been wrapped up in the arbitrary nature of society for so long she's neglected to learn what her powers really mean. She has to leave, and learn what she has become, what her role should be.
And Cinderheart goes with her.

My biggest fear is that Sam and Tara's story will end up like Natasha and Yelena's. I can't handle that.

From Mezzo:
~
The hold just below engineering is dark and deserted, just like Jack wants it, close enough to the engines to feel the thrum, far enough from the foot traffic she can spare herself the stares of Cerberus’ lackeys. After telling the prick from engineering what she would do to his prick if he made another pass at her, he hasn’t made another trip down the stairs. The yeoman who had brought down the cot had tried to give her a nice, warm, friendly welcome.
She doubts that yeoman will be coming back anytime soon.
A smile can be as deadly as a gun if you believe in it. But Jack hasn’t believed in a smile for a long time, and she always carries a gun.
The gravity well dips sharply, prickling her skin with gooseflesh. It’s not the engines. She looks down in the direction of the cargo bay, curiosity getting the better of her.
Cerberus ship, captained by a biotic wearing a Cerberus uniform who insists he isn’t Cerberus, and seems to be a shitty biotic. The way he fumbles with the gravity well like he’s trying to find a clit suggests either he’s telling the truth, or Cerberus isn’t training their biotics the way they used to.
Like the way they trained her.
At first, she’d assumed this was a ship she’d use and lose at the next port. But maybe, just maybe, she’d stumbled onto a bigger prize.
Perhaps it’s time to really size up her enemy.
She pushes up off the cot and winds up the stairs towards the elevator. Her stomach growls, the first signs of the appetite suppression from cryo finally wearing off, but now that’s she’s got the thought of Shepard in her teeth, she’s going hunting for a different kind of meal.

Makes sense I make a video about these two right before the 10th anniversary of the episode that made me think that we as the audience were suppose to come to the conclusion that Felix had a crush on Sam

It's funny how Claire is less annoying when she's talking to Sam. That post about Sam enriching the characters when they interact with him is so true

help me choose! please?
so I am making a "fic" of an AU idea I had a while back- is pretty much Stitch, BloodMoon and Eclipse in a found family / evil team work case. they are slowly becoming close to each one to fill the need of family they wish this is before we all knew Stitch fear of being alone, but Im totally adding that to my AU as well as the fact KC may have put enough trauma in BM and Eclipse to make then hate each other less but this is the issue.. the plan was so keep OG Eclipse and OG BloodMoon and skip over Ruin's arc all together. but Im slowly warming up to new BloodMoon and Eclipse.. (doesnt help my fav video is Copy BM and Copy Eclipse play overcook as a hoobie) there's plus in each version but also things I need to work around to make this work.. sooo

I love the citadel dlc party, I really do, but as a Kaidan fan some of the interactions just rub me the wrong way. like, I'm already annoyed you can't uninvite some people, but no matter the party style, someone is going to shit on Kaidan. maybe it's Sam with the weird as fuck remark about him being racist for asking her opinion about curry. maybe it's also her comment about making his drink with her spill pad (the fuck???). maybe it's the dismissive comments he gets from the other squadmates about his ability to reave. maybe it's the convo with joker and Sam and how they sound when talking about EDI and the incident that could've killed him.
yeah. there's a common denominator here and while I want to like the wlw LI, she just sucks in this DLC.

Oh AND! The scene in the locker room with Sam right after he found the restaurant and the way he just breaks when he sees his dad absolutely killed me. Full on crying.
