The best archetype: Chaotic smoking hot woman who is clinically depressed and has tons and tons of unresolved trauma
So rare to see that time of character done well with a woman. Kinda girlboss of Eda ngl.

Why Will and Alana didn't work out:
Alana: You are unstable
Alana: If you are the Chesapeake ripper it's only because you are sick
Alana: oh you are not the killer and you are not sick
Alana: you are the killer again, you killed Freddie
Alana: oh Freddie is alive you are not the killer

I like to think that the reason Mikoto cares so much about birthdays is because they're a celebration of you as a person. For something like Mother's Day or Valentine's Day, those things are dependent on what you did for others. But on your birthday, even total strangers will smile and tell you how wonderful it is that you're alive. Everyone gets one birthday every year, no matter who they are or what they've done.
And on the other hand, forgetting somebody's birthday is like saying their existence doesn't matter. Imagine remembering and just refusing to celebrate it! That'd be like saying that the fact they were born isn't a good thing at all, right?

The Real™ way Selina Kyle joined the batfamily was like this:
Batman and Robin were chasing after Catwoman in the dead of night after she stole jewels. They are all leaping across rooftops until Catwoman hesitates at a jump. It is rather large, larger than the rest and it would cause a lot of damage if she missed, but if she tried, she might be able to calculate this right as to not get injured. But before she can do that, two figures come up behind her.
Batman: Give up, Catwoman, you're a coward.
Robin, devilish smirk: Some might even say you're... A pussy
Batman, turning around, not even facing Selina anymore: *gasp* Robin! Where did you learn that from! If you say that again, you'll be grounded- no it isn't funny, as your father, I will not tolerate that language, you are a child!
And during all this, Selina is just watching while internally like 'this dude needs some help raising his kid, like he is a mess' and then in true cat fashion, she just domesticates herself into Wayne Manor

The moment Shane realizes he cares about you, like actually cares, he’s all in. This man will would drag himself through literal hell if you called for help. Maybe that’s why he’s so hard to get to know, why it takes a lot of effort on the farmer’s part to befriend him.
Shane loves so hard. He’s always loved so hard. It didn’t always work out, and some never had the chance to stay.
Up until the farmer showed up, Shane had less than a handful of people he’d do anything for, and now one of the most important people he’ll ever meet added a fourth finger

I was playing SkSw for the whatever time yesterday and kinda just. Realized smth. So there’s a blackout between the scene where you meet Fi and the scene where Link gets his knight uniform; I had lost a heart falling before that blackout, and when the blackout happened heard the telltale sound of hearts refilling. So, that could only mean Link slept, which even though the uniform cutscene takes place during the daytime and the meet Fi cutscene takes place at night, I never really thought about before.
I am thinking about it now. Oh, I am thinking about it.
Because just that night he learned about his destiny to save Zelda as the chosen hero of the goddess. Tomorrow he will wake up and put on his new uniform and plunge down to a surface world that only exists in his people’s legends, chasing after his childhood best friend with a literal metal sword lady as his guide. He’s never imagined anything beyond Skyloft. He’s never imagined Zelda being in any kind of danger. He’s never thought of them doing anything besides being best friends, living on Skyloft together and enjoying the daily antics of the town. And now he’s leaving everything he ever knew to go chase after Zelda in a place he didn’t even think existed.
And I just can’t stop thinking about it, because he’s Skyloft’s resident sleepyhead, known by literally the whole population for his love of sleep.
But I don’t think he slept a wink that night.

Good afternoon, today I am thinking about the end of the Feast of the Seven Fishes when Tony is talking to Katie about why he can’t get back together with her and/or just fall into bed with her and he says “I love you too much not to love you enough.” Thanks for listening.

The next chapter of The Perfect Storm is up, and it is a big one! Over 8,000 words of me putting Balgruuf through the motions and tackling his past. I need to hug the poor guy. He's been through a lot...
-----
Fic rating: E (for future content)
Fic relationships: Balgruuf the Greater/Female Dragonborn
Chapter description:
For over ten years, a blade which almost led to the downfall of the Jarl of Whiterun had been locked away in the basement of Dragonsreach. Balgruuf had hoped to leave it in the past.
A conversation with Elyse digs up both the blade and more.
Chapter excerpt:
"Dragonborn… The Jarl said that you heard a voice from in here, yes? I believe that you may want to take a look at this," Farengar stated after taking a single step forward, and having given the room a quick once-over using a magelight spell to see. Elyse suddenly left his side to see what was meant by that, slipping past the wizard so that she could look, then let out a gasp.
That was all of the prompting which he needed to follow the two of them, just to see what was happening. He decided, however, to remain by the door, just in case he had to do as previously suggested and allow them both to handle things in his stead.
"It's empty… Why is the room empty?!" Elyse looked panicked as she glanced around the room, attempting to look for any sign of life. It was a sentiment which he shared with her, given that he trusted that she had indeed heard a voice addressing her when she had found the room herself. "I don't like this… Where is-"
The sudden silence which struck the Dragonborn was enough to draw both his and Farengar's attention, no less when her head suddenly turned towards the table in the room… and the one thing which Balgruuf was doing his best not to look at.

I loved @krikeymate’s idea of Sam having a squeaky toy that I expanded a bit on it of where it came from and the other toys she’d have.
Chad and Mindy would eventually find out about Sam destroying the pillow and the chew toys Tara got her. So as a joint gag birthday present they bought her a bunch of dog toys; a spiked ball, tug of war rope and some squeaky toys (a fire truck that sounds like a bicycle horn, and a stuffed duck that quacks). Sam says that she jokingly hates the twins and their presents but they all know that she’s teasing and loves them. Sam’s favourite is the duck since it’s soft she can bring it to bed with her and if she happens to fall asleep with it at least they’re not sleeping on the hard plastic of the fire truck.
She enjoys now how she can play with the Core 4 during full moons. She plays catch with Chad since he has the best arm among them but never returns the ball back to him. Making Chad chase after her, telling her to “drop it, drop the ball” and “come here.” It never works and when he does ask Tara for help Sam will always give the ball to her, even if asked to give it back to Chad just to spite him.
Sam always manages to convince Mindy with her best puppy dog eyes to play tug of war with her. She’s always gentle pulling at the rope because she knows she stronger than her, but it always evolves into Core 4 vs Sam. More often than not Sam let’s them win, their arguments and teasing about how “you’re not even trying” and “pull harder, we’re almost winning” always entertains her.
Sam usually lets Tara be, waiting for her to join on her own volition or when she asks Sam to do something with her, not wanting to be the one to trigger her asthma with her excitement to play. Tara understands why Sam does this, so she lets her have playtime with the Twins first before asking if they can go on a run together. Sam’s always eager and excited to go for a run with Tara on her back, able to share something with her sister even if it’s just running around. Tara goads and eggs on Sam to go faster or daring her to jump over something, in hopes of tiring her out. After their run Tara gives Sam the fire truck to chew on as they all doze and nap curled into Sam.
