32 episodes were spent detailing precisely how:

Crosshair stopped belonging after Order 66;

How the others couldn't enjoy snacks, games, or Riot Races until he was gone;

How a person is required to not have any inhibitor chip activation whatsoever in order to speak to Hunter;

How they probably sold all of his belongings off well before the end of S1;

How they keep insisting "Omega belongs with us", therefore suggesting that Crosshair doesn't any more;

The Batch's work history centers around rescuing civilians and diplomats while Crosshair's has not, so he's no longer compatible with them;

How Crosshair can't even save Omega without the others wanting to shoot him;

The squad has consistently been seen smiling, laughing, and generally having the time of their lives in his absence;

Joel Aron himself has a history of telling his Twitter audience that the episodes are NEVER what they expect them to be;

And finally, Hunter himself has REPEATEDLY disapproved of rescuing the regular Troopers, and even suggested it straight to Echo's face in S2.

So...why would anyone in this squad bother going after somebody they've already proven, proven 32 episodes of time over, that they absolutely cannot stand and have zero time for...?
