New ChapterāDeparting from This Account
hey guysā¦ its ella aka youn9racha here
iām back on here to regretfully to tell you all that iāll be leaving the stayblr fic community. iāve had so much fun being on here and i never regretted anything that came out of this account. it had been a wonderful one-two years being on here, and if i could, iād relive this moment over and over again.
i cherish the people iāve met here, the ones that got close enough to have my socials and the ones iāve casually talked, whether through comments, reblogs and dms. yāall are wonderful and made my experience on here so special to me. words canāt describe how much this account means to me.
there are many factors on why iāll be leaving, one of them being my university taking up most of my time, but the other factor that kinda hurts to admit is that iām not as interested and invested in stray kids as i used to before. i still love my eight boys, in fact theyāre the only kpop group i follow on my socials and i donāt intend on removing them anytime soon, and i still very much love bang chan. but iām just not as obsessed with them to the point of writing stuff surrounding them anymore. Iāve been too preoccupied with life that it slowly drove me away from them, even to the point of me denying.
iāve also developed new interests and hyperfixations, namely one piece, as being pretty evident as my recent posts about the live action series, so that also drove me away from writing for stray kids.
but all in all, it really has been fun being on here and writing for these eight men that have impacted my life from late high school till now in the best way possible. its crazy to think that iāve been loving these boys from senior year of high school when i was 18 and now iām a senior in college, truly i cannot thank them enough on how much they mean to this day. but i have to leave this part of my life behind. who knows, maybe iāll start being obsessed with them again? only time will tell if that were to happen.
as for this account? i donāt intend on deactivating this account because i still cherish this account and i donāt think iām ready to deactivate it yet. and besides i know some people like to read my stories even though i still havenāt fixed my masterlistāi promise once i have the free time iāll fix it i swear! so why should i take that away?
anyhow, its been fun. iām gonna miss writing herā¦
c ya !!!! š«¶š«¶
p.s. if any of my mutuals on here wants to still interact with me, just dm me and iāll give you my socials (i am technically an anonymous person, and i do go by a fake name so iām not gonna give it out to anyone)
p.p.s iāll still watch skzās new cb

hey star, thank you for being vocal about the collab and palestine and giving us the space to be too.
itās such an overwhelming situation for most of us from what iāve seen on here. i also saw skz and stayblr as kind of a safe space to get away from my life problems. and seeing everything in shambles is very hurtful. but necessary nonetheless, im glad that this debacle is sparking important conversations.
i have always had kind of a resistance to getting too into kpop. (shinee, bts and skz have been the groups that iāve spent most energy in but specially skz). bts and skz content really helped me overcome difficult af times in my life. and seeing this unwind is just crazy. iāve always been aware of the requirements of moral ambiguity that kpop has. and itās always been something i criticize but didnāt really feel until these latest skz situations like, cc, tommy hilfiger and then zionists are just too much. skz is also my last hope within stanning kpop groups. iād love to think theyāre just being repressed by jype and canāt speak out on it (and i bet that to certain degree this is the case) but at the end of the day, i think ignorance is mostly it. as you said, theyāre just rich men too.
iām also constantly dreading the fact that i donāt have the platform to spread awareness or be able to get messages through, because with such a passionate fanbase as many celebrities have, i would try to move mountains for social justice. i hate the fact that skz canāt (and/or wonāt) speak about the issue, id hope it would be bc of repression but tbh idek anymore.
im really disillusioned with everything too. iām very vocal of my support for the free palestine movement and protests (and everyone in my life have been very supportive as well) but seeing stays and skz openly prom tic zionists is too intense.
tbh, im not even that excited for skz @ lolla anymore (for the time being at least). iāll still continue to support then but itās definitely with a more careful perspective. and in all honesty im just on here to send you asks and read other people voicing their activism. not even looking forward to any skz content rn.
thank you for putting the energy you spent on skz into palestine. using your voice for good is so necessary <33
i love you angel, i hope youāre well despite everything.
-šāā¬
The amount of big accounts Iām seeing who are just retiring their pages altogether or taking an indefinite hiatus is crazy. I just saw one of the biggest skz streaming event accounts announce that theyāre halting all streaming parties and wonāt be supporting any skz content right now until further notice. Like this is a HUGE deal, I really hope people understand the severity of all of this
10000% agree with you on the resistance for getting into kpop. A huge part of how I feel is likeā¦ these companies are trying to hard for expansion into the west, and in the west itās really expected of people nowadays to take a stance and made their morals transparent to audiences. Times are simply changing, and the same should be applicable to kpop idols. Yeah theyāre usually under contracts and whatnot, but that just shouldnāt be the norm anymore. And there are idols taking a stance and making a difference! Suho from EXO is organizing an entire fundraising event for palestine and has openly said itās for the people of Gaza and heās still heavily under an SM contract. These idols have more power than they lead us to believe, many of them just want to be comfortably ignorant
Also totally feel you on the lolla part. Iām seeing some people say theyāre planning on giving skz a black ocean at all upcoming festivals which is practically unheard of in skz events. I hope people understand that these issues canāt just be swept under the rug with a new album and some tour announcement. Itās really sparked a larger conversation about the obligations of rich and influential people to use their platforms
I love you so much and Iām feeling all the same of what youāre feeling :( it just sucks. What a weird time to be so annoyed with your main form of escapism. Iām sending you all my love and Iām always here for you if you need to vent or talk about any of it. š«¶ššššš©·

[Image ID: A black picture with the titleĀ āHOW TO SUPPORT FANFICTION AUTHORSā written in bold caps lock, colored with a winter forest picture. End ID.]
Well, this post has been made countless times, but Iām making one too because Iāve seen a lot of people say theyāre new to tumblr and donāt know the wholeĀ āreblogging is better than likingā rule and other stuff. So without any further ado, here are ways YOU can support the fanfiction authors. Now keep in mind this applies to almost every author out there, not just the stayblr fandom, so if youāre a silent reader (or even if you arenāt), I advise you go through this post. Warning, this is a fairly long post going into detail, so yeah. I still expect you, the readers to read this, and if youāre a writer, feel free to lmk if iāve written smth wrong or if you want me to add something! ^^
In this post Iāll go into thorough analysis of the pros and cons of each of the methods listed here and how YOU as a reader can show the authors whose fics you read more love and motivate them to produce content.
WARNING; LONG POST! GOES INTO A DECENT AMOUNT OF DETAIL. NOT EDITED, EXCUSE ANY TYPOS.
#1 : LIKING !
I think this is basic common knowledge, and a lot of people tend to do this. When you like the post, the author sees it, you see it, and if the author has their liked posts accessible (which majority of the time they donāt), and if someone deliberately goes to check it, then they see it. See why so many authors say just liking does nothing? Only liking saysĀ āHey, Iām gonna tell you your story is not that good by simply liking it and not sharing it with other people. :Dā
āÆ PROS:
Youāre telling the author that you've read their fic, and either youāve enjoyed it to a certain extent, or youāre just saving it to read for later.
Likes are seen by you, the author and anyone who has access to your likes (which, most people donāt).
āÆ CONS:
If you ONLY like, youāre not really helping the authorās work reach a wide audience because this site isnāt Instagram. Reblogging is the only way people can SEE our works. Iāll cover more on that in the next section.
In a nutshell, liking is good! But you should most likely use it in a combination with the other stuff Iāve listed below, because just the like itself doesnāt really doĀ much in giving the author any feedback or interaction on their fics.
To clear shit up; Iām not talking about those people who donāt read the story or appreciate it in the first place. Iām talking about those who appreciate the fic, like it, but donāt leave any sort of feedback to show that.
#2 : REBLOGGING !
This is SO, SO important. I cannot stress on this enough. Let me explain WHY so many writers stress on reblogging content:Ā
Tumblrās tag system is inherently fucked up, and has grown more so over the year. Iām not kidding, at first, the fic either used to show up in the tags or it didnāt, but now, sometimes your fic can be REMOVED from the tags because of,,, idk tumblr tag shit. Anyways, as you can see, itās very demotivating for authors at that point, because the major way for people to find their content and expand their blogs has been blocked.Ā Ā
Due to this reason, tumblr authors need to RELY on you, their followers to help spread their works to a wider audience. Now again, before you get me wrong, Iām not saying you ae forced to rb our works regardless of whether you like them or not. BUT, that being said, if you DO infact like the story, thereās no harm in reblogging, right? By doing this youāre indirectly telling the author āĀ āhey! :D I liked your fic! Which is why I am gonna share it to my followers so they can read it too :Dā Trust me, youāre doing nothing but helping the people who produce content for you to read. Seems like a worthy cause to hit the reblog button, right? Itās only a one, or maximum two step procedure.
Leave tags in your reblogs! Trust me, as an author myself and as much as I know from all my author friends, we oft check the tags of your reblogs to see if you found any part amazing or even if you have anything to say about the writing we put so much hard work into. Even a key smash or aĀ āThis was so [insert adjective] š„ŗā is enough to leave a smile on your authors face.Ā
āÆ PROS :
Youāre !! Sharing !! Your authors !! Works !! This leads to them getting more recognition, so for the content theyāre so graciously providing for free, youāre promoting their blog and helping them expand it.
If the tags are being a shit, which majority of the time they are, then youāre literally making an authorās day by reblogging! Youāre showing them that you, a follower and appreciator of their works are willingly sharing their content because it deserves to be seen by more people. Again before any dumb people decide to attack me, i am talking about people who like the fic but don't bother reblogging and are silent/ghost readers. I am not forcing anyone to read anybodyās work.
YOUāRE MAKING YOUR AUTHOR SO HAPPY WHAT MORE REASONS COULD YOU POSSIBLY WANT !! š„ŗ
āÆ CONS :
Literally none, because as far as I remember no author is against reblogging of their works. Itās quite literally the way this platform functions. Reblogging is IMPORTANT.
#3 : COMMENTING/SENDING FEEDBACK !
This kind of overlaps with the previous section, but THIS IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT STEP !! When you leave feedback, you are directly giving the author something so much more valuable to them than high follower/note counts or money. Your feedback is literally our serotonin. I kid you not the number of times Iāve received a positive comment and smiled and it has made my day. Thereās a reason youtubers (though not the best example, bear with me here because it was the only one I could think of)Ā ask people to subscribe, like and COMMENT. The subscription is like a follow, the like is ofc like a heart, and the comment is equivalent to an rb with comments in the tags.Ā
You might argue and tell me that a comment is basically like an ask so the reblogging step isnāt necessary, but Iām sure 99% of you use YouTube and you know that more comments leads to peopleās videos boosted in the stream/trending charts.Ā This is what reblogging does.Ā Reblogging shares the piece with other people like minded, which leads to a boost in reads. You are literally helping your author grow.
Itās quite literally the same thing as youtubers. Youtubers NEED validation to keep their content creation going, so do writers, so do other ccs on this site. This post is however, focused on WRITERS, so keep that in mind.
āÆ PROS :
By doing this, youāre giving author valuable feedback! Itās similar to what you do in rbing with tags. Interactivity with their fics boosts their note counts and helps expand their audience, so srsly, now think of it: your oneĀ comment is playing such a massive role to help ccs create more content.
Imagine how much of a difference the note counts will be in when every person who simply likes after reading the fic, reblogs, leaves a comment and sends an ask. the note counts would be high on each and every fic, which is validation in itself, but your comments would inspire the writer so much more! Please, donāt skip the commenting part. Even a simple one like:Ā āthis is so cute!ā is wonderful.Ā
āÆ CONS :
Remember, if youāre gonna give constructive criticism (which Iām sure you all are smart enough to know if different from hate), make sure the author is okay with it. Authors need to be in a specific mindset and must be ready to accept criticism, so if youāre gonna give constructive criticism to them when theyāre at a low point, it may demotivate them.
Just commenting, instead of reblogging and commenting in the tags/ reblogging and then leaving an ask in their inbox, while it gives validation in plenty, will not lead to the authorās work being spread. Therefore I suggest either reblogging and commenting in the tags or reblog and then leave an ask, or comment under the fic!
!! reminder; I am not saying that if you donāt rb and just leave feedback, your feedback has no value. We authors truly appreciate every bit of feedback, but this post is aimed to help you learn how to interact with and support authors, and make them feel more motivated, because the current scenario of liking and scrolling is taking a toll on their creative abilities. Take it from a person whoās been writing for a year.
#4 : COMMSIONING VIA THEIR KO-FI/OTHER APPS !
Before any of you attack me, let me tell you that this is not a step that is 100% necessary to do. ONLY donate if you can and if you genuinely want to, and if anyone is forcing you to pay for something against your will, you need to get yourself out of there.
Regardless, if an author has a kofi and youāre able to and you want to donate, you definitely should! Itās also a valid form of support.
#5 : ADDING THEM ON REC LISTS/ RECOMMENDING THEM TO REC BLOGS
This is such an underrated option, to be honest. I canāt tell you the number of times Iāve seen my fic was recommended onto some rec list and itās made me smile so hard. If you like some fics, create a rec list! Theyāre oft very popular amongst the fans too. Making rec posts is such a great way to share your favorite stories with others.Ā
Rec blogs! Iāve seen a couple going around, and needless to say they are a great way to get someone elseĀ to read your favorite authorās work whilst also giving them your own feedback. These blogs oft accept recs via a form or ask box, and they leave your feedback along with their own, or else theyāll oft tag the author in the feedback post, so look! Youāre basically helping your author share their fic to many more people, because youāve given them feedback and a reblog.
āÆ PROS :
Validation! Feedback! Reblogs! More exposure! Helping a blog grow! Spreading love! basically a run down of the stuff Iāve said before!
āÆ CONS :
Literally no con of this. Unless, a one in a million case, this author says they donāt like receiving feedback/being tagged, and Iām sure NO person has said this before, at least none that Iāve heard of.
#6 : FINAL COMMENTS; MISC !
When an author points out about how the interactivity is drastically reducing, donāt just give them blind apologies. Yes, you feel sorry for not interacting as much, we understand, but rather show that youāll become a better content consumer through your actions.Ā We need to seeĀ that weāre not just throwing words into a void and that people are actually trying to be better content consumers.Ā
Understand the fact that authors donāt get paid for this, and 99% of the time, these authors donāt take commissions either. Theyāre giving you novel worthy writings for free.Ā Take Percy Jackson: You think the author would have felt motivated to write the subsequent parts, let alone two whole series based off of it if literally no oneĀ showed that they were interested? Rick Riordan has sales, he is being paid, there are millions of people and big agencies who provide him feedback. Now take that huge amount and simmer it down to an audience of maybe 10000 people This is what fanfic authors want. They donāt want your money, nor are they telling you to risk your lives for them. All they want is, a reblog, some tags, some feedback, some INTERACTIVITY.Ā Ā A sign that they arenāt throwing fics into the void and that people actually like them, some motivation to continue. Seems fairly easy to throw an rb with some tags, right?
Donāt bother to tell me that we do this for ourselves and we shouldnāt ask for likes and reblogs and feedback, because 1) you are consuming the content that weĀ āwrite for ourselvesā and 2) writers post their content here for interactivity and feedback. We could just not post and write and save our fics in our dungeon drafts for years. But we choose to post to entertain the readers, the consumers. And we arenāt even asking that much in return.
Donāt give me the wholeĀ āIām scared that authors feel that comments are annoyingā excuse either because seriously this has been DEBUNKEDĀ SO MANY TIMES. Istg, in the nicest way possible, if you stillĀ think writers are annoyed by interaction and feedback, after so many posts, long rants have been posted as to how weāre not, then you must trulyĀ be living under a rock. There, I said it. Please stop thinking this way, Iāll say it again, AUTHORS ARE NOT ANNOYED OF FEEDBACK, COMMENTS, TAGS, REBLOGS. WE LOVE IT. Saying this is like saying that the audience in a theatre play shouldnāt clap when the play ends because the actors would find it noisy. š¤”
Iāve seen some people saying they have anxiety issues and such, so pls note that Iām not invalidating your condition. If youāre trying to be more interactive, I really appreciate it! If you canāt, thatās fine too. Youāre trying.
But for the people who have no reason other than feeling lazy to rb and comment, your lack of interactiveness is not excused. Please. Tumblr is a reblogging site. If youāre gonna consume content like authors are some sort of machines, I encourage you to go get some more perspective.
This site is not Instagram or the satan bird app. Your likes are appreciated but frankly speaking, they do nothing to the author except tell themĀ āHey i read ur fic but i'm not gonna support u :Dā and honestly, that is detrimental to their creative capabilities and mental health.Ā
DONāT FOLLOW AN ACC JUST TO MINDLESS RB THEIR SIGNAL BOOST POSTS AND THEIR REBLOGS OF GIFS AND NOT INTERACT WITH THEIR WRITING AT ALL ! Trust me, authors prefer a lower amount of interactive followers than a high count that doesnāt even give them any feedback. Again your follows are appreciated, but when youāre following, youĀ knowĀ the type of content the author creates, so the author expects that the more followers, the more interactivity. These days, this is just becoming the opposite. So donāt do it! If youāre gonna follow to read, interact with their works. I promise, this will make both you and the author happy. A win-win situation.
In conclusion: SUPPORT YOUR FUCKING AUTHORS! THEY ARE NOT MACHINES THAT HAVE NO FEELINGS TO PRODUCE CONTENT FOR YOU! FICS TAKE DAYS AND DAYS OF PLANNING, PLOTTING, OUTLINING, WRITING, EDITING, MAKING TEASERS. SO JUST SHOW THEM YOU APPRECIATE THEM WITH AN RB. ITāS THE L E A S T YOU CAN DO.
I will be liking this postĀ here written by the lovely @chaninfusedā and @scriptura-delirusā . Please take time to read it because if you werenāt convinced by my arguments, you will see how much frustration we as writers face on a daily basis. Please, just show support. Here is the post by @stayndaysā about how to get more people to read your work, because it also has a note on reblogging. Please educate yourself, and put an end to this mindless consuming culutre and bring up some interactivity.
If youāve read this far, I want you to go to two of your favorite authors and leave some feedback in their inbox, and tag me in it (either tag me yourself or ask the authorĀ to do so, they wonāt mind). Show your writers that our words are taking effect and you are becoming better consumers. I mean it. Iām serious. I want every single one who reads this post to do this. besides validĀ reasons, if youāre lazy to do this, youāre a part of the problem. PLEASE get more perspective.
Also, feel free to add to this post! Iād love to read your thoughts too, remember to be kind though. And, if I think your rb is somehow contradicting my points and is bringing down the reason I made this post, I will politely ask you to delete your comment, because this post is about being truthful about the harsh reality of tumblr consumers and how we can change it. Iām sure none of you will let it get to that point, though. <3 love you guys. š
And, just a reminder, donāt just blindly like this too. Do what I said before, and while I am not forcing you, Iād appreciate your reblog, because seriously, it took me 3 whole days to write this, plus, Iām sure this will help more of your followers understand the fault in consumer culture. haha, thatās it! This post was way too long uff.
also, this is ur cue to not be stupid in my inbox. You have something to say? Think I worded smth wrongly? Iām sure it wasnāt my intention to do so, point it out with manners.Ā

1000 followers except its the saddest milestone yet
*downs a shot of whiskey*
basically it doesnāt feel like i have 1000 followers. it feels like i have 50
i do not want ANYBODY telling me in my inbox āoh congratulations on this huge milestone!! you deserve each and every one of them!ā because thatās just a load of bullshit hereās why:
my interactions on this app are so low to the point where iām basically irrelevant on stayblr now. i donāt know if this is because i havenāt been active this year, or because iām back in school, or because the majority of us are back in school, or because some big blog has sabotaged me and told all of their followers to stop reading my content (which is actually very realistic)! but MAN these 1000 followers do not add up to the amount of feeback iāve been getting
and so if you havenāt read the countless posts about writers begging for feedback and comments, iāll let you in on a little secret: writers are fueled by those two things. the more you throw at them, the more content youāll receive from them! however, since my interactions in general are very low at the moment, i do not feel like i should be wasting my time writing stuff that i feel like barely anybody will read.
iām at the point where it all feels very pointless! why rack my brain into doing stuff nobody will see? why ditch sleep and healthy work habits if itāll all go to waste at the very end?
that halloween interactive au i was very excited to show you guys during this october? i stopped working on it over a month ago because nobody seemed interested! you guys probably donāt even know what iām talking about because nobody gives a shit about this blog before! itās genuinely hilarious!!
but then again, whoās the real one to blame here? me! i failed at creating an engaged audience for my writing and thatās that. iāll fully come to terms with that. but itāll be much harder to do that now considering iām in school again.
am i going to quit this blog? no, actually. because itās good writing practice and what not. but now iām just not gonna give a shit about writing āwhat the people wantā. because in the end, only less than 50 people will care about what i post.
if you followed me for any of these reasons iām about to mention, unfollow me right now:
ship requests
stayblr fanfiction survey
incorrect quotes
one specific ot8 reaction post because the aesthetic was nice
any other sort of shitpost that got mediocre attention
i just wanna see the follower count PLUMMET and hysterically laugh because yall donāt care for what this blog is really about, and genuinely, thank you for unfollowing!
anyways, no special event this milestone for obvious reasons
thanks to the 10 people whoāve read this! you guys are the real ones š

It's so hard being an sfw writer tbh you don't get asks, barely get comments, and lately notes on sfw fics have been RIDICULOUSLY low. I see some amazing fics that must've taken forever with 5k+ words get a mere 30 notes. Meanwhile I've seen some 50 word horny paragraph with fluff tags get over a 100. And there's nothing wrong with that, I'm not trying to shame smut, but it gets hard sometimes when you feel like nothing you write is going to get anywhere.
Yes !! Honestly, the fandom is getting super horny at this point. Now, I'm once again, not mocking smut readers or writers, because I have no right neither control over what you desire to read, but slowly, sfw writers are basically feeling disconnected from the fanfiction fandom, and why shouldn't they? I've seen fics with 8k or more words, or even the shorter ones, with amazing plots and such intricate storylines get like,,, 23 notes, while one 50 word smut snippet gets a 100 notes a day. Like you said, I'm not shaming the readers for what they want to read but like,,,, I feel like this whole fandom is slowly becoming more of a smut liking majority, at least of Tumblr.
Is that a bad thing? It is for me, because the fics I, or any sfw writer puts so much effort into (not implying that smut writers don't put effort but you get what I mean) basically get like š¤š» many notes, all of them likes with the occassional reblog and once in a blue moon, you'll see tags that aren't "rec!" Or "skz fluff". Is it a bad thing in general? No, because I like I said, I seriously have no say neither control on what someone wants to read, nor do I want to have any.
I've seen many smut writers support sfw fics by reblogging them and all, but the tags abuse is another thing people fail to understand. I'll accept it from my side too, we put our fics into the smut tags for more reco, at least I used to. But when smut writers tag their mature stuff into the fluff tags, their basically ripping us the tiniest amount of recognition we get. All the top fics in the smut tags are Smuts, when I know purely sfw fics that deserve to be in their place in the fluff/angst tags. I've explained and explained but so far, I haven't seen one writer implement it into their tagging system. š
I believe every interaction works in two ways. We, the creators, create content. The consumers are supposed to consume and give feedback. To all the people who simply like on people's posts, you're basically telling them "hey I liked this but I'd rather not share it :D" it's demotivating and I hope the like only trend dies. Keep in mind I'm talking about people who only like, not those who don't enjoy my fics in the first place. The consumer may say "but dawnnnn, you're writing for yourself, not for others !!"
If I wrote only, just for myself I wouldn't be publishing my work here. š I know it's my hobby, but I post my stuff here to get recognition on them, feedback and improve my writing. Not going to lie, as a person who's shifted from nsfw stayblr, I can feel the thirst for validation that sfw stayblr has, because most of y'all don't give one shit about us. š There, I said it. Keep in mind I said "most", not "all". (Also not addressed to you in anyway anon).
And well, there will be a time, when this whole Tumblr fandom is basically just smut and no more sfw writers, because we are literally giving so much for so little. Before you attack me, I'm not saying smut isn't something that's written easily. It takes time, it also takes heavy plotting, but we can all see the clear difference an nsfw fic gets with respect to an sfw fic with the same concept, same member. Basically, sfw stayblr is slowly dying, and that's the reason I try to rb most of the stuff I find on sfw stayblr, because the writers here? They're amazing, they put so much work into the stories (again not saying smut writers don't) and they are literally dying for a bit of validation that'll bring them joy.
It does feel like all too much for too little, to be honest. I'm fine with smut being here, but the lack of people who even bother to bat an eyelash at sfw content is honestly baffling. Thank you for attending my rant.
