rewatching LoK, i'm being reminded how much I dislike the.... the brothers, mako and bolin, yanno? they're such underwhelming characters on basically every level. it'd almost be impressive if they weren't in every episode and didn't annoy me so much ugh

tbh i do feel like a lot of sport dog or general dog people's confusion regarding why certain gear not made for specific sports does not work for that said sport comes from a general lack of people who do not have a lot of personal experience wearing sport equipment or doing sports themselves.

Obviously people not having that experience is not a bad thing, we all learn and grow and it's great imo that people want to do active things with their dogs (any little bit you do is positive in my eyes). But it's just a fact to me that when you, personally, have experience with how YOU feel in different type of sports equipment, that knowledge certainly transfers to animal sports as well.

I went to kick Arlo’s holee football for him, as per usual, but there was like, this unexpected divot in the grass underneath the ball, so I kicked into it and hit like a root or a rock or something?? I don’t know what it was but it was really hard, had no give whatsoever. Kicked it full. force. 🫠

I was wearing like winter sorrel boots, idk if that made it worse or if it helped? I feel like if I wasn’t wearing the boots my toe may have been able to curl down to save itself but the boot kept the toe straight so I just slammed all the bones into themselves instead I guess?

ALSO this was my GOOD toe and also my DRIVING foot 🥲 my other toe is crooked and technically needs surgical correction so now I’m all out of good toes

Thoughts on the little mermaid

I may be misremembering but didn't it feel like very painful to walk at some point after her transformation? Like the fact she's dancing makes me wonder if she's doing it by choice (my immediate image before I even realized it was probably the little mermaid was that she was delirious for some reason, maybe bc Cinderella wasn't like "yeah she's dancing and seems to be like. At peace" she just seems lost??)

Trying to figure out about the walking thing bit TV tropes reminded me: in the story mermaids DONT have an afterlife, iirc they fully become inanimate sea foam. How does this interact with Neverafter?? It seems like she persists between stories so I doubt it's like 'when mermaids die they stay dead instead of existing again' or whatever but at the same time this could be like way more fucked up if they do get another life?
