#and I mean Chuck himself is just a cartoon villain by the end too. there’s v little nuance left in him.

Very strange to me that the longer supernatural went on, the kinder it was to John Winchester and the uglier it made Chuck.
There’s something very. I don’t know. “Don’t blame your father, your father never did anything wrong. Blame God. Blame this thing that’s been secretly making your life worse this whole time, pulling the strings, controlling you and everyone around you.”
And the further we get into the show, the more Chuck becomes a Writer, rather than it being about God as a Father. (Never completely losing that aspect, obviously, just like Chuck was always a writer, but one of these parallels clearly superceded the other in terms of importance to the story.)

Why isn't Nightwing a bigger deal? He has all of Batman's skills and Superman's faith in humanity and is arguably the most beloved hero in the DCU, but most people seem to know him either as the leader of the N̶o̶t̶ ̶J̶L̶ Teen Ttians or just Robin.
Thank you for asking me about Nightwing, I've been wanting to write a piece about him for a while now. The short version is that everyone who claims Dick becoming Nightwing was him "moving out of Batman's shadow and becoming his own man" is completely wrong.
Tumblr media
Dick Grayson is a fantastic character, someone who saved Bruce Wayne in-universe both by forcing Batman to grow up a bit, and the countless times he saved Batman's life as his partner whether as Robin or Nightwing. Dick saved Batman in the real world as well, hard to believe but Batman was actually in danger of being cancelled due to poor sales early on. Enter Robin, a young daredevil audience stand in the creators hoped would get kids interested in reading Batman. And it worked! Sales on Batman doubled once Robin showed up which is crazy to think about, but Dick Grayson has always been a popular character. Cartoons like Teen Titans, Batman: The Animated Series, and The Batman only helped grow his audience.
Character-wise, Dick Grayson really does fill a number of crucial roles in the DCU. For Batman, Dick is proof that Batman is a positive force. Meeting Batman helped change Dick for the better, helped him heal after his parents died. With Dick, Batman can take comfort in knowing that yes, he has made a difference in the world for at least one orphan boy, which is all he wanted when he lost his parents himself. To the wider DCU, Dick is a friendly face who convinces others that Batman is competent and not a complete asshole. He took this kid in, trained him to be one of the best heroes the DCU has seen, and did it all out of the kindness of his heart. That someone like Dick can confront the evils of Gotham and not break means there's still hope for that city. As Robin, Dick has led the Titans and is an icon in his own right as The Sidekick, the original, the one every other Robin is built around copying or contrasting. The one all other superhero sidekicks are drawing on as a basis. As Robin Dick Grayson is very much on Batman's level.
Tumblr media
Just not as Nightwing. As Nightwing, Dick has been a second rate Daredevil which means he's a third rate Batman (fully prepared to get hate for this but I've read and enjoyed the Miller and Bendis DD runs so I feel entitled to my opinion). A typical Nightwing run tends to go like this: Moving to Bludhaven (which is Gotham... but WORSE!), Dick Grayson usually enrolls in a pointless job we don't care about in order to provide some meaningless soap opera drama that doesn't go anywhere. Patrolling the city as Nightwing, he fights a variety of bad guys who are usually rather lame and unthreatening, with his big bad being a Kingpin knockoff called Blockbuster. Villains are fought, long running plotlines are set up, then everything is abandoned because it's Batfamily event time, and Dick has to run back to Gotham in order to play sidekick again. Usually his involvement is completely superfluous and it would've been better if the writer had gotten to opt out. By the time we finally get back to Nightwing's solo plotlines, the audience has usually ceased to care and the run gets cut short.
That's how Nightwing has been since the New 52 at least. Anyone who thinks that's "becoming their own man" is out of their mind. Dick is so thoroughly in Batman's shadow that he got shot in the head and spent a longer time as "Ric" which everyone fucking hated and sold like shit, than he did as Agent Grayson which was extremely well-received. Reiterating: Ric went on longer than Grayson because of a fucking Batman plotpoint Tom King wanted where Bruce was sad and cut off from the Batfamily because of Dick getting shot. Not just calling out King either, how many times was Kyle Higgins Nightwing run derailed because of Scott Snyder's crossovers? Or how about that entire run getting dumped to the side because Johns wanted to out Dick during Forever Evil, a Justice League/Lex Luthor story? DC has repeatedly made their contempt for Nightwing clear, he's Batman's sidekick still in their eyes, and he serves whatever story role the Batman writer wants.
Tumblr media
Hell his best stories tend to have been the ones where he's not Nightwing. He was Robin in a good chunk of the Wolfman/Perez New Teen Titans run. Morrison really showcased his depth as a character when they wrote him as Batman, their time with Dick under the cowl was actually one of the first Batman runs I ever read, and no Nightwing run has ever matched it in terms of quality in my humble opinion. Scott Snyder's work with DickBats also was a high point for the character, showing Dick as competent and examining his relationship with Gotham and the Gordons. King and Seeley gave him one of the best comic runs with Grayson, a series where he wasn't even a "superhero" technically! When it comes to actual pre-New 52 Nightwing runs that are highly recommended where he *is* Nightwing, there's Chuck Dixon and uhhhhhhh... Tomasi's brief run before Dick became Batman? It's not exactly an overwhelming list.
Look there has been good work done with Nightwing, I'm not claiming there hasn't been. Tim Seeley wrote a great run with Nightwing Rebirth. Seeley fleshed out Dick's Rogues Gallery with cool new ones like Raptor, he brought back old foes like Dr. Hurt (why oh why couldn't you have brought back Flamingo too?), he gave Dick's world some character it solely needed. Bludhaven under Seeley is pretty much the only time I've really felt like it lived up to being Dick's city.
Tumblr media
The problem with fictional cities is you have to put in the work to give them the character of real cities. You have to make the cities feel like characters in their own right. Gotham is the best example of this, it's a character all it's own, one that tells you a lot about Batman and his cast. In contrast Bludhaven is usually one of the worst. Any place that wants to claim to be worse than the city that is built over the gate to hell and gets wrecked every other month by the Arkham freaks has to really put in the work to compete. Simply put, Bludhaven typically fails utterly. There's nothing about it that makes you really buy it's worse than Gotham, I mean does anyone really think Nightwing's Rogues wouldn't get their lunches eaten by Batman's? No, no one genuinely buys that. When Bludhaven claims to be worse, it just comes across as tryhard, an attribute that does end up telling you about Nightwing in unintentional ways.
So Seeley didn't do that. Instead he created a city built for a hero like Dick Grayson. Someone who is bright and flashy, but does have an element of darkness to him. Someone who loves the spotlight, but often uses it to obscure. Seeley turned Bludhaven into Las Vegas, and that was the fucking best concept for Bludhaven I have ever seen, it makes so much sense. Las Vegas is the "Entertainment Capital of the World" and isn't that the perfect city for a hero who got their start working in the circus? Isn't the aesthetics of the gleaming casinos, the glamorous sex appeal of the performers, and the spectacle of the shows, all being used to cover up the seediness of mob bosses meeting backstage perfect for Nightwing? It's so utterly unlike New York City, yet Las Vegas is still dangerous, it's got a crime culture all it's own. Seeley used it to great effect, as did Humphries during his brief run, and I will always be pissed that DC didn't continue to use it. That should have stuck around and been the definitive look for Bludhaven.
Tumblr media
How Seeley's take on Bludhaven was treated feels like a small scale version of how Nightwing in general gets treated. Whenever creators pitched ideas for him, if editorial thought there was potential to break big, they asked for those ideas to be repurposed for Batman instead. Anything big or good gets repurposed for Batman or tossed to the side so Nightwing can go back to his default: having irrelevant adventures in a city that is supposedly worse than Gotham but can't live up to it. Just like how Nightwing is supposedly better than Batman but never gets to show it. Goddamn it's so frustrating seeing his potential get wasted like that.
The Nightwing book should be one of DC's most ambitious books in terms of storytelling. You can go from traditional superhero stories, to romantic soap opera, to spy stories, to crime noir, to horror, to cosmic adventures, and ALL of them would fit because Nightwing is someone who has a foot in both Gotham and Metropolis. He's got friends everywhere on every team, and has been a hero longer than most Leaguers have at this point. No reason DC should still be afraid to let him loose and insisting on hewing close to what Dixon established almost over 30 years ago is only holding him back. At the very least get him some better Rogues, why the hell didn't he get to keep Professor Pyg? That's Dick's villain not Bruce's! Bullshit that they didn't let Dick keep him. Hopefully Flamingo comes back, with a slight revamp I think he'd make a great reoccurring Nightwing Rogue.
Luckily it does look somewhat like Nightwing fans have reason to be optimistic. While Taylor isn't to my taste, DC clearly views him as a "big" writer, and that they put him on Nightwing says a lot. Taylor has been selling well so far, so hopefully he gets to tell his story, hilarious that even he lampshaded having to write Dick running over to Gotham for another tie-in after Taylor's big opening arc was all about Dick committing himself and his money to Bludhaven. Scott Snyder is apparently working on a Black Label Nightwing book which will explore how he's a different detective than Bruce. The Gotham Knights video game has him as one of the main stars, and while Titans is... controversial, it's one of the most popular streaming shows and Dick is the main character. There's a lot of content coming that features him in the starring role, and that will only help his star rise further.
Tumblr media
For the first time in, well, ever it feels like DC may be serious about elevating him. Time will tell if it pays off, but I for one choose to be optimistic that the 2020s will be a turning point for Dick Grayson where Nightwing becomes hugely popular in his own right. Not just as Batman's sidekick.

Powerpuff Girls 2016 - “Mojo The Great”
Tumblr media
Written by: Jake Goldman
Written & Storyboarded by: John West, Angela Zhang
Directed by: Nick Jennings, Bob Boyle
No, he isn’t!
I was just talking about how I didn't think one character's portrayal in a reboot was as good as the originals, and this one is a far better example of that! I make it no secret that I am not a big fan of the reboot’s interpretation of Mojo Jojo. I mean, I get it; his manner of speaking was probably considered to be too close to broken English, but they could have found something else other than "silly monkey with a silly hat."
Tumblr media
Well, aside from him dressing up in women's clothing, of course. Thankfully, this aspect was toned down in Season 2, and doesn't appear to exist in Season 3 outside of one tiny scene in Not So Secret Service. Season 3 is also going to try to improve his character, with a whole episode about him trying to be great.
Tumblr media
He gets a good start, as the episode opens with Discount Jojo wrecking a city with his giant robot, calling himself the greatest villain ever. A tour bus drives on by, the tour guide talking about how he's one of the average villains of Townsville.
I can see this episode as a response to people who criticized Jojo's character in the reboot; throughout the entire episode, Discount Jojo is called "not so great", and I do not disagree with that. I mean, he's supposed to be the arch-nemesis.
Tumblr media
Angered by this accusation of being average, Discount Jojo grabs the bus and throws it, only for it to be caught by the Powerpuff Girls, with Buttercup even threatening to break two of his legs if he doesn't surrender. Discount Jojo says he doesn't even know the meaning of the word, leading to a running gag about a word-a-day calendar so good, they used it for the title sequence.
After Buttercup crushes him with a torn-off top end of a skyscraper while Bubbles distracts him with cute pictures of hedgehogs, all planned by Blossom, we cut to a Breaking News segment hosted by Bob and Nick, the sportscasters from Derby Dollies who are totally not named after anyone in particular.
Tumblr media
This is another episode where each of the Powerpuff Girls' distinct personalities come into play. Blossom’s excellent planning skills, which was mocked in the last episode, Buttercup’s incredible strength, as this show’s "interest" for beefy arms continues, and Bubbles’ undeniable charm, which, okay, I guess. Don't they all have super-strength? Don't tell this episode!
Discount Jojo is completely insecure about being not-so-great, so he decides to enact a plan, using his...
Tumblr media
Voice-Change-A-Ma-Jig...♫♬By Mojo♬♫
That's one of the big running gags in this episode: Discount Jojo has his own jingle for his inventions now, which he will only use in this episode. He has three different settings on that thing: Professor, Mayor, and...Mrs. Keane? Okay, I can understand that Discount Jojo probably didn't look up if she's married or not. For the record, this show has her still being single in the episode after the next.
He puts it on Mayor and attempts to call Bubbles. I will be honest: I am surprised they did not just make Discount Jojo use a very unconvincing falsetto that Bubbles believes in to fit in with those "oh, that silly Blonde" jokes they do with her.
Tumblr media
Instead, they do something a little bit different: Jojo, in a very unconvincing way of talking that isn't exactly the Mayor, an improvement to Jojo's character, tells Bubbles that his greatest foe is at it again. Bubbles starts naming villains that are not what Discount Jojo is expecting, as apparently there are far worse and/or notable villains than him. Who, exactly?
"Morbucks?" Of course Princess gets the first mention; the crew loves her for some reason! Nonetheless, she doesn't appear in this episode.
"Fuzzy Lumpkins?" Wait, he still exists in this reboot? This episode doesn't prove it.
"The Fashionistas?" Not them, it's not a good episode.
"Pack Rat?" Oh, that one villain that only appeared twice in Season 1 and never again, even though his last appearance has a still unresolved cliffhanger? Not him.
"Manboy?" No, not him. Three appearances is enough, really, and only one of them was anywhere close to good.
"The Gangreen Gang?" No, their leader is too busy with the best thing to happen to the Powerpuff Girls since McCracken left Cartoon Network.
"The Amoeba Boys?" Yes, the Amoeba Boys are considered bigger threats in this reboot than Discount Jojo. Sadly, we will probably never find out who they think is a good replacement for the late Chuck McCann. And if you think that's bad...
"Him?" Yes, it took this long for her to say Him. One would think the series' equivalent to the devil should be #1, but he's put below the Amoeba Boys somehow.
"Silico?" I wish; that cliffhanger with the virus robots really needs an actual conclusion that doesn't make him a complete joke.
"Allegro?" Oh, don't remind me.
Discount Jojo decides not to let this gag continue forever, because it sure feels like it, but Bubbles has only a slightly higher opinion of him than everyone else in this episode: he's good, but not great. Using the Mayor voice, Discount Jojo leads the Powerpuff Girls to a dark alley and zaps them with a ray gun.
Tumblr media
Buttercup wakes up in a glass chamber, only to find that her sisters have become grossly out of their character, and far more than usual this time! Blossom is now a stupid girl that only talks about her love for corn dogs. Bubbles introduces herself by burping and talking in a stereotypical Italian mobster accent.
Discount Jojo shows up outside of the glass, and Buttercup can't wait to break through it and give him those two broken legs she's been talking about.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, Buttercup can’t get through the glass; she can't even lift a stool to break it! See, this is to show the one thing that makes Buttercup Buttercup is her super-strength, which nobody else in the show has! If anyone else in that glass had super-strength, this plot would have been over far too soon!
Tumblr media
He reveals that he managed to steal all of the things that made the Powerpuff Girls great with his Trait-A-Ma-Jig ♫♬By Mojo♬♫, all one of them each. Discount Jojo can do plans now, even though he was able to do those just fine before. He has Buttercup's incredible strength, which, again, features gratuitous muscles. And, he has Bubbles' cute charm, which he barely uses outside of a montage.
Tumblr media
With a montage, of course. He sings a song about how great he is, while using his traits of super-strength to break an armored car, enough charm to steal candy from a baby without anyone hating him for it, and ability to play chess very well. If this was going to lead to a message where the only way for him to be great is to be himself, I would appreciate this a lot more, but they never get there. That might be because there isn't a lot of "himself" in this reboot.
Despite all of this strutting, Buttercup calls him great...in a sarcastic way. He decides the next step is to destroy Townsville, because that would make him a great villain. It's definitely more Mojo than wanting diamond tiaras and stealing lipstick.
Tumblr media
Rain-A-Ma-Jig...♫♬By Mojo♬♫
One of three times this jingle joke pops up. I wouldn't say there's any real payoff to this joke, it's just there. This Rain-A-Ma-Jig fires a laser at the clouds, causing it to rain hard enough to cause Townsville to flood. He is so obssessed with wanting to be great, he doesn't even think of a way to save himself, but he never figures that one out even with Blossom's planning.
Tumblr media
It even interrupts what looks like the usual newscaster, who was trying to sing "Singin’ In The Rain". He gets interrupted by the flood as soon as the crew realized they would have to pay royalties to MGM if he sang one more syllable.
Buttercup has to find a way out to stop this rain from happening, and she has the bright idea. Oh, so they do know the other girls have super-strength; it's just that being stupid and having no charm makes you forget that! She convinces Bubbles that Blossom said that she couldn't break through the wall, and this leads to a long scene where Blossom repeatedly gets bashed into a glass wall, saying that she's okay. See, it's funny because Blossom is getting hurt.
Tumblr media
While that's happening, Discount Jojo’s plot turns into a Noah's Ark plot, where Jojo tries to save two of each animal and puts them on a boat. No, the context doesn't make this any less out of place. There's only one joke here: he cruelly disallows another rabbit from entering his boat because he already has two of them.
The Powerpuff Girls show up and immediately get hit by the anchor. At least here, it's not just stand still for ten seconds, even if that would fit Blossom's character at that point. Buttercup then tells him that he's not great because he can only beat them because of the power-stealing, and Jojo responds by giving back their traits. Even with Blossom's ability to make plans/brains, Jojo was able to make a critical error. At least that's consistent!
Tumblr media
To be fair, that's actually a good way to tie into the episode's themes: Buttercup ends up using Jojo's desperate need to be great as a way to get him to give back their traits. I try to find the positive in everything, and this ending kind of counts. It only took them until the end of the episode.
The newscasters give the show a break from actually animating anything by slideshowing everything else that happened. They drained the water with a comically large drain, and destroyed the Rain-A-Ma-Jig.
Tumblr media
In the end, Jojo looks at that all-important calendar to see that the word of the day is "doofus". Huh, Doofus Jojo. It has a nice ring to it; it certainly fits someone who doesn't even know how to use a word-a-day calendar. The episode ends with nothing changing, nothing satisfying, and nothing that makes me want to call him Mojo. I am not surprised.
Does the title fit?
He never proves himself to be great, even with the one trait he steals from each Powerpuff Girl.
How does it stack up?
This episode can only work based on a severe misunderstanding of the characters, and while that's normal for the reboot, this episode loves to remind me of that. Mojo the Great, more like Episode the Terrible.
Tumblr media
Next, Princess raps, and the Puffs sing. No beatbox solo this time.

One of my favorite movies, but it’s too painful to watch again
Tumblr media
Title:”The Hunt” or “Jagten” (Danish original title)
Director: Thomas Vinterberg
Year: 2012
This was another one of those movies where I jumped into it complete blind besides knowing Mads Mikkelsen was in it. I think it was the first movie I watched staring him, I was used to watching him on NBC’s “Hannibal” (Which by the way, I know this is a movie blog but if you haven't watched that, DO IT! It completely ruined tv for me, meaning my expectation are too high now thanks to a genius man named Bryan Fuller.) I heard that it was one of those movies that must be seen at least once and so far that’s how many times I’ve watched it, just once. I had to stare at cartoon for a couple of hours after this because my god, it took me on a crazy emotional roller-coaster. It was totally worth it, my respect not only grew for Mads Mikkelsen’s amazing acting abilities but for the Danish cinema which is something I wasn’t too familiar with.
The story is set in a small town in Denmark, where a kindergarten teacher resides named Lucas. He’s a sweet, kind man and loves what he does working at the small school. He’s divorced and is having a hard time getting custody of his teenage son named Marcus. Lucas life isn’t all negative news, he forms a relationship with a woman named Nadja that works at the school, she then moves into his home. Lucas best friend’s little daughter attend his school and one day she kisses him on the mouth, he immediately in a kind manner explains to her why that’s not okay. This is where everything gets really intense, so if you want to avoid spoilers skip to the next paragraph please! The little girl who kissed Lucas is named Klara and Klara has some little brothers who showed her a picture of something she wasn’t supposed to which is an erect penis because they thought it was funny. Klara is upset at Lucas for not accepting her love and her overactive imagination creates a terrible lie. Klara draws a picture of what her brothers showed her at school, the kindergarten director sees it and then little Klara basically makes it sound like Lucas exposed himself to her. It all spirals out of control then, the lie starts to spread and Klara creates a story of the false incident that throws off the whole community. To make things worse, other kindergarten students are coming forward with accusations against Lucas. Lucas tries to talk to his best friend Theo, who is the father of Klara to clear up these lies but he doesn’t side with him at all. Theo says that his little girl would never lie and from there Lucas life becomes even more hellish. The town starts to persecute him, everywhere he goes. His home starts getting attacked and spoiler alert: they kill his adorable dog, Fanny! Towards the end, some things start to come to light. The other kids who made claims that Lucas would take them down to a basement, are proved to be all a bunch of lies because Lucas doesn’t have a basement at his home. Lucas innocence is proved and the charges against him are dropped. Klara eventually sees what she has caused and tries to clear everything up but it’s too late to erase the lie that tainted Lucas reputation forever.
The way this movie was directed and made to look is simple, like it should be considering the tough story. You get to see some beautiful scenery of Denmark like the church and the place where Mikkelsen’s character lives at which is also very nice. However, almost none of that matter besides it being important to Lucas background because the way the story grows steals the screen completely. Thomas Vinterberg said the main problem with this film was making Mikkelsen look like a normal guy. In his own words he “…Wanted to dress him down a bit, because he’s so incredibly handsome. It might be because I’m a little bit jealous.” Mads is mostly known for his work as villain’s such as Le Chiffre in “ Casino Royal”,Dr. Hannibal Lecter in my favorite show and recently as Kaecilius in “Doctor Strange” but in his country of Denmark this is different. He’s known for many other roles that showcase his ability to act in dramas, romantic films and even comedy.  If you have only seen his as a villain, I recommend starting with this film to see that he doesn’t deserve to be type casted in the US. The little girl who plays Klara, Annika Wedderkopp, huge kudos to her because this is not an easy role at all for a seven year old girl to portray. Many see her character as a villain, some even said they hated kids after watching this film but what people need to understand is her character isn’t a mastermind. She is only a child who in her mind said started with a little lie, causing her to unintentionally hurt many around her when she started being interrogated.  No child abuse case or accusation is simple and it will never be, this movie does an excellent job of showing what happens in the world around them when it occurs.
I couldn’t help but to feel for Lucas, the act of just reading about false accusations cases that have caused people to serve jail time, pains me immensely. If you have ever wanted to save a character, this movie will give you that desperate need to reach inside the screen and save Lucas from this mess. I don’t know how this film only got one Oscar nomination, it should have won and got many awards but that may be my love for this actor just speaking. Either way, I’m glad he got the best actor award at Cannes but this film deserved much more. It will make you think twice about giving kids a hug especially if you work around them like I do and it will definably keep you on edge the entire time. Get a yoga mat outwards and mediate, I’m not even exaggerating I’ve known guys who are “super manly”, not able to handle this movie. It’s that good and is a predictable, 5/5 rating for me.

Well, I Should be doing this Piece like I did with 2015 and It's Movies & Cartoons, But I started this a few Days ago and Now I am able to Upload it now. So here is my Review/Experience with these Animation-related Programs. Zootopia - It looked like a Cute film to watch, and it had some Good Voice Cast I know like Ms. Jenny Slate(Tammy, Princess Pony Head) & Mr. J.K. Simmons(Tenzin, Stanford Pines). And I figured it will beat out the *Cough* OVERRATED *Cough* Disney Frozen feature in my Book. It was the First Film of the Year to watch it in the Cinemas alone, back then I was Upset with my Parents over something, I can't remember. But I enjoyed the Film, the Characters look Likable, there was a Great Mystery Story like any other Detective Films, and the Song 'Try Anything' by Shakira, I first heard that song while Working in Foodtown, and Now I'm hearing that Most of the times there. The Loud House - Well, I first Heard about this Program coming soon back in 2014, and I thought I wouldn't be interested, But as time went by, the Character Lucy seemed to be a Cute Interest and Possibly one of the Reasons I will be Watching this Program, and then I would read who will be Voicing in this Program, and there were a load of Surprises. So I watched It's Previews and their Premieres so far and I'm Kinda finding the Show very Interesting, and My Favorite Characters of the show so Far are Lincoln, Lucy, Lynn, Leni, Lily Loud, Ronnie-Anne Santiago, & Clyde McBride. I even Started a Top 5 Favorite Episodes of this Program Possibly a Month after this Program premiered, and maybe I will do a Top 10 in the Future someday. The Angry Birds Movie - I like playing the 'Angry Birds' game, and I figured this Movie will be interesting because I know One actor playing in the Movie, and that Is Mr. Bill Hader, and that was Before I knew who the other Actors in the Feature are like Mr. Keegan Michael Key & Josh Gad. And I really enjoyed the Film Much, it had a Great Soundtrack, There was a Good Reference to Daft Punk (and that was a Good Thing because I discovered it after I Horribly Discovered that the Not-Very-Bright reboot of the Powerpuff Girls made a Reference to Daft Punk which led me to Tears, but then I saw the DP Ref on TABM, and I was Like "YES, I have No Regrets after Purchasing one of their Great songs 'One More Time' on I-Tunes!"), and there was a Hilarious Moment where the Mighty Eagle *URINATED* on his Lake, after Bomb & Chuck took a Dip in it, "Horrible Turn of Events, Horrible", and everyone in the Auditorium Laughed alot during the Whole Sequence, and I was Glad that everyone had a Good Time Watching it, and the Climax where the Birds invaded Pig City while Using the Big Slingshot and using their Powers plays just like the Games we Played Yesterday & Today. Steven Universe: Bismuth - I think I heard about a New Gem that everyone was Excited about, and I thought I would watched this New SU special, and I enjoyed it, the Character Bismuth was the Next Character Fav in my Book, and the Special had those Cute littl' Bumpers that could style Classic Anime, and that's what I would like about Steven Universe when it first premiered, I heard in one review that it looked like it had a Style combination between SchoolHouse Rock & some 1970's Obscure Anime, and I like that, Unlike the Few Episodes that were written & Boarded by Raven & Paul. The Secret Life of Pets - I find this Movie very Interesting, because it also had some very Good Voice Cast I know like Jenny Slate, Albert Brooks, & Bobby Moynihan, and I was Discovering who Kevin Hart was after seeing those Comedy Central Promos featuring the Gentleman. And I really liked the Film, and the Characters are really lovable, Mostly Snowball the Bunny, who is my Next Favorite 'Villains with Heart' characters, He was abandoned by his magician owner, turned bitter, ands leads the Flushed Pets planning to take retribution on humankind, Until in the End when the Flushed Pets come up with a new plan to annihilate all humans, Snowball is suddenly adopted by a little girl named Molly, At first, Snowball resists, but gives in to her sweetness and lets himself become a domesticated pet, and That was a Cute scene to me as Saying that Snowball deserves to be Raised Much better than his Previous Owner did to him. Noodle & Jaguar Racing - What can I say, I enjoy Gorillaz and their Music, my First Music Video to see from them was of course 'Clint Eastwood', and then I purchased their First Album, and repeatedly Listen to that Music all over again & Again. Until them, I finally rediscovered more about the Gang's History back in 2010 when their Third album 'Plastic Beach' came out. And Noodle is by Far one of my Most Favorite Animated/Cartoon Female Characters, she has the Most beautiful Designs during Phase 3 & 4, and the Her becoming Ambassador of Jaguar Racing with that Gorgeous Outfit/Fashion Design of hers REALLY packs a Punch. And I'm Beginning to Really have Fun Drawing her Jaguar Designs most of the Times, even with some of Our Original Characters, along with Official Characters from other Media. And I'm not sure if that's Ms. Haruka Kuroda reprising her Role, or what, But her Voicing is still Fabulous to Me. Kubo & the Two Strings - What will Laika think of Next, Kubo is the Most Fantastic Stop-Motion 3D Animated Film to see in Years. the Only Voice Actor I know to play in the Film at the Time was Mr. George Takei of 'Star Trek' fame. And the People of Laika really put their Greatest Talent to the Challenge when they Build that Extremely Large 16-foot Tall Skeleton that can grab the Actual Models of the Characters (*no Kidding*), and how they use Bowling Balls to Animated the Giant Eyes, and Here are a Few Words from Animator Kevin Parry on working on the Moon Best: A.) You can see all of the rigging supporting the Moon Beast, all on top of a large, rotating tabletop. This puppet was essentially a long cable with 3D-printed shells attached to it – meaning it could not hold a shape on its own, so it had to be animated with an external support system. B.) Because of this, we often animated the Moon Beast looking upward at a down-facing camera, so that it wouldn’t be fighting gravity as much. The camera is about 5-6 feet above my head, looking down at the puppet. C.) I really like the initial tail whip and the shape it creates. But as the Moon Beast comes toward the camera, I think I overcompensated by having the tail break so far down and to screen left. I think it would have been stronger if the tail remained in-line with the head and body, and he had a more dramatic dive down and toward the camera. D.) If I could animate this shot again, I would also leave more of a beat after the Moon Beast turns towards the camera, before the attack (and have the mouth open during that beat). So the choreography would be something like big sweep toward the camera, anticipate the Moon Beast upward and pause for a beat, and then dive! I think the overall path and dynamics of this shot feel a bit too even. You can Find More Notes on his Progress on [This Cartoon Brew Article].
Sing - At First I thought I wouldn't be interested in watching the film, but then seeing some Characters looking interesting, especially Scarlett Johansson's character Ash, I decided to see this Film for myself, But this isn't the other time to see the Film in the Cinemas alone again, my mother wanted to see this Movie too. So we saw this Film together, and she liked the film too, and she even knew how Ms. Jennifer Hudson's Singing voice sounded immediately, although Miss Nana Noodleman's Speaking voice is done by Jennifer Saunders, Mom also Like Seth MacFarlane's Character Mike and how he Sang, and I told her of Course Seth can Sing in a Good Frank Sinatra like tone, like how he sang with Frank Sinatra Jr. in Family Guy. And Mother also like how Meena sang in the Climax of the Film, that was Beautifully done by Ms. Tori Kelly. And I was also Surprised to read that the same man who voiced Buster Moon, also Voiced Beetle/Kubo's Father in 'Kubo'. Hope you Like It!
