Ok so that newest ZR episode (season 10 mission 23)…. Spoilers below the cut

As always, I remain unsettled about much I truly enjoy Ernie. Same plant, different cutting for sure but there’s no way that voice and face don’t give 5 flashbacks every once in a while

Amelia’s anger about canton 5 continues to be delightful to me and I really hope she sends 5 after slava and Brent like her own personal attack dog when this is all said and done

My Runner Five finally gets her Shrek 2 hero moment whilst rescuing babies! (Although arguably that happens when she rescues Sam from Ian in season 5) WE GET SAM, FIVE AND JAMIE, THE DREAM TEAM IN THIS MISSION! (sorry Amelia 😂) and genuinely the moment with the babies at the end was super cute.

head-canon: My Five held Sam’s hand from moment Jamie told her to take and go to the left with Sam, only breaking contact, once when they had to dodge the hammer. However Five did break contact it briefly in hesitation after learning what the glass protocol was at which point I kind of imagine Sam grabbed her hand again to comfort her and refused to let go because there was no way he was going to let her potentially die alone even if he died in the process.

Bonus headcanon: since my five and Sam are still engaged at this point. I’m pretty certain that it was on the way to this mission that they asked Jamie to officiate, since now that Moonchild’s out of Five’s head, they kind of want to get married pretty soon after Sigrid is defeated, well that’s their plan anyway.

Zombies Run S3M51 Bad Moon Rising

I ran this mission on Oct 17th. I did 3 miles and enjoyed the scenery by the Potomac. Running with friends sure is nice, except when they complain about running the entire time.

Wow, this has got to be one of the wordiest and most info-loaded missions I have ever done. There was info on ZRD, the whereabouts of Moonchild’s mindless human army, the heavenly bodies, and even possible intel from Amelia. I was having a hard time keeping up.

This mission was the only time I found Amelia tolerable… somewhat.

Janine saying that one day she may have to kill her own younger brother gave me shivers. What did he do to deserve it?

So I guess I’m going on a trip to London. O boy… this is gonna be fun.

I am always amazed that a small township like Abel can have such a powerful communications tower along with camera views of different locations and buildings. Sam will be able to guide me while I am in London! Nice.

Hey, long time no post 👋 it’s your friendly neighborhood Five here with a running update. I got covid back in September and it fucked me up big time with running. Finally started making the tiniest progress before getting smacked down by health issues. And then again by an upper respiratory infection that almost landed me in the ER around Christmas. Turns out I might be asthmatic? What a good thing to know for a runner 🙈

But I’m slowly making progress again (after inhaler and rest and a lot of prednisone) and have started running some again. Nowhere near 3x a week yet, but I’m getting them in 🥹 I ran Live and Let Die (S5E28) today and ahhhhh my *heart*.

**** Zombies Run Season 5 Spoilers ****

To actually learn who the Ex Moor Militia is, and what they stand for, absolutely floored me today. Struck me quite close to my heart, I was so surprised that these people who have been shown in a negative light for so long have such a noble mission. Can’t believe ZR forever pulls the rug out from under you 😂 But it felt so good to run today. Curious about Amelia’s husband and that whole story. But honestly it just felt nice to run, to have Sam in my ear, and to have Janine turn to me and say “Five, run with me.” towards some secret rendezvous potentially filled with danger. It just kind of felt like being home.

Here’s to 2023 🎉 to healing bodies and trauma, and to being completely and unapologetically myself. I started taking testosterone yesterday and I’m so excited that I get to start this year being more me than I ever have been before ☺️

OLD PATTERNS DIE HARD

Season 9 and Season 5 spoilers

So I have a suspicion that Amelia sold our Five for something valuable to thr Magreb Protectorate.

Reasons being

1) we are all stretched to our limits and going back to what's comfortable. Why not Amelia?Amelia at heart will do ANYTHING to survive.

2) would explain the "no contact, no support, no resources or outside help" thing...like she would only do this if it was basically suicide and she didn't want anyone to know what happened to us.

3) Amelia might see our Runner 5 as a legitimate threat. As we have refused all offers of help and joining her in Fort Canton.

4) we've begun to slow down, with our trauma catching up to us. We've been traveling alot and less involved with Abel. So we are less "useful".

5) that shot thing, was not a panacea but something to do with five.

6) being captured by Valmont is what actually saved our lives from being "dismantled for the good of science" like Owen.

7) She probly sold the rest of us too. I mean an immortal man, an ex Mi 7 operative and a copy of a super computer. Like bro, mo is just there as "insurance" as he's a grifter too.

8) she probly knows five will some how survive and wander into something invaluable by accident. Like she mentioned in season 8. Five is just like that. But that doesn't stop her from striking a deal.

** So basically, Janines being easily manipulated by Amelia and this idea of "duty". She basically put everyone she supposedly cared about in immediate danger.
