When Starting a war was a gas.
Most of the time when you think ways wars started in antiquity you find yourself thinking land, religion, other stuff like resources. But what if I told you flatulence was what caused a few wars? You read that right, it was not something a Monty python sketch would do, although it would have been hilarious. Photos from Halloween I am using here 🤣 It happened. It is history. Amasis...My magician OC. The only OC I have ever really had.
How in the hell had it come to this? Sure he had incurred the Pharaoh's wrath before, and yes alright, fine he had maybe done something so unfathomably stupid that he deserved this sentence. Which is exactly what it was. No need to sugar coat it. Amasis had been alive for far too damn long to not know what retaliation looked like when it faced him. He hated...well most people, or well he hated the idea of people. People meant complications...camaraderie. Then came feelings, and ideas and commitment. What a mess. No. He was better off without them. Which was why he was using every formidable trick in his arsenal to get out of this... Apprentice training. He had already seen the new lot. He could see at least one of them setting themselves on fire. Many would quit or burn themselves out before they even got to their tests, but that was the job that was laid on him. Thin out the herd, make sure the ones with promise are taught to the fullest of their abilities. "Fine, might as well go ahead and get this over with." He sighed into his mirror before heading out to deal with his punishment head on.

fate is forcing me back onto the field of battle to pursue my violent revenge so this is the outfit I had made. a broad and solid shield adorned skilfully and a massive horse-hair crested helmet. Will this help me complete my violent rampage or what?
