How'd Amara get their name like did celia give it to them or is that just their name? Also does Amara have prns? Also is there any worldbuilding on Amaras prev home bc u said they were an alien yeah idk also celia backstory. She's 24 so just out of college about to graduate yeah what's going on there.

uhhh world building wise um. um. um (<- is bad at worldbuilding) amara is a celestial being so where they live is like. almost a floating space station? but like less covered bc yk. celestials. anyways amara's home is constantly moving and travelling to different galaxies and such and if a celestial likes a planet/galaxy enough they can settle there which is sort of how dust got booted to earth? like thats sort of what was used to send dust there.
and then celia yah <3 fresh out of college with a bachelor in fine arts (i had to look that up if im wrong ant the college stuff dont tell me thats embarassing) anyways she does freelance work 👍

Tian Guang Ci Fu
Saludos mis felinos!!! Bienvenidos una vez más a este cubil. ¿Se acuerdan que la semana pasada hablamos de la animación de la Bendición del Oficial Celestial? Bueno, hoy les quiero contar de la novela que al fin terminé de leer y... ¡Wow! me ha dejado sin palabras.
Es uno de los romances más épicos y hermosos que he leído, tanta devoción que no saboreaba desde Dante Alighieri, ojo, no digo que sea una novela a la altura de la Divina Comedia, aún no encuentro una, pero ese amor tan devoto, tan infinito y que es capaz de atravesar el mismo infierno, pocas veces puede leerse con tanta ligereza.
¿A qué me refiero con esto? Bueno, la Divina Comedia obviamente es una obra maestra de la literatura clásica, sin embargo no a todos les es fácil leer ese tipo de forma literaria, por que vamos, fue escrita por ahí de 1304 y además hace referencia a muchos personajes históricos y la situación social de Florencia en aquella época caótica, sin embargo TGCF es una web novel, hay un mundo de diferencia, pero el amor que profesa Hua Cheng hacia el protagonista te hace recordar al de Dante por Beatriz, en cuestión de intensidad y ¿pureza?... no sé si sea la palabra adecuada, dejémoslo en sinceridad y generosidad.
TGCF se compone de 244 capítulos que te acabas rápidamente y sin darte cuenta, a mí me llevó casi un mes por falta de tiempo, pero si estás ocioso, puede que una semana baste.
Como ya sabemos se trata de una comedia romántica china del género xianxia, (esta si es comedia, no como la de Dante), cuando la leas, quien esté cerca pensará que te has vuelto un poco loco por que van a reír hasta que duela y habrá un par de momentos donde esa risa desquiciada será cortada por un mar de lágrimas, pero como dicen en mi pueblo: “se sufre pero se goza”. También hay que aclarar que es una novela BL, escrita por Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.
Sinópsis.
Se trata de un Dios conocido como el “hazmereír de los tres reinos” o “el dios basura” quien ha sido expulsado dos veces del cielo y desterrado al mundo de los mortales, ahora luego de 800 años, ha ascendido por tercera vez y será recibido por el desdén de los otros dioses, una deuda estratosférica que no tiene cómo pagar, unas misiones que revelan secretos antiguos ganándole más enemigos y líos que superará gracias a un encuentro con el más temido y poderoso Rey Fantasma, cuya peculiar personalidad parece tener una muy buena disposición hacia Xie Lian.
Ahondando un poco más en la historia y si ya vieron el donghua, Xie Lian era el amado Príncipe Heredero de un antiguo reino llamado Xian Le, que era la nación más rica y próspera de aquel entonces. Él era amado por su gente, un experto en artes marciales y en lugar de aspirar a convertirse en el futuro rey, entró al mundo del cultivo y terminó volviéndose un dios marcial a una edad temprana. Luego de algunas tragedias y desventuras que lo llevaron a ser desterrado dos veces, perdió todos sus poderes, sus devotos, su reino desapareció (recordemos que han pasado 800 años), sus templos fueron destruidos y él básicamente ha vivido como un indigente entre los humanos, con la peculiaridad de que su cuerpo no envejece, no se enferma y no muere.
En este mundo los dioses obtienen su riqueza en base a las ofrendas de sus devotos, la cantidad de templos, etc, por lo que Xie Lian al no tener nada de esto vive en la absoluta miseria y se dedica a recoger deshechos y venderlos para obtener dinero y subsistir, ya que aunque es inmortal, necesita comer, comprarse ropa de vez en cuando y de vez en cuando un lugar donde dormir.
Durante su tercera ascensión provoca un caos en el cielo, derrumbando los palacios de algunos otros dioses, una campana y un montón de daños que le generan una deuda de 8,888 millones de méritos (la moneda de los dioses, que como ya dijimos, depende de las plegarias, ofrendas, templos y creyentes). Como no puede pagar, empieza a tomar “misiones” para resolver asuntos en el reino mortal en nombre de otros dioses ocupados a cambio de los méritos.
En su primera misión, que se trataba de encontrar a un novio fantasma que secuestraba a las novias de las procesiones nupciales y se topa con un extraño joven vestido de rojo y acompañado de mariposas plateadas que resulta ser el terror de los oficiales celestiales. Un poderoso Rey Fantasma conocido como “La Lluvia Carmesí Procurando la Flor”, quien se hizo famoso por retar a 35 dioses tanto marciales como civiles, de los cuales 33 aceptaron el reto y fueron derrotados aplastante y vergonzosamente por él, pero al negarse a pagar la apuesta, este Rey Fantasma de nombre Hua Cheng, incendió todos sus templos y los acosó hasta que simplemente desaparecieron en la nada. Este Rey Fantasma aparece repentinamente para ayudar a Xie Lian, quien tiene la peor suerte del mundo.
Más tarde, cuando Xie Lian decide construirse su propio templo con la esperanza de algún día ganar algunos devotos y se encuentra casualmente con un adolescente vestido de rojo a quien termina refugiando en su cabaña destartalada y a falta de algo mejor que hacer, el muchacho llamado San Lang, comienza a acompañarlo en sus misiones...
Esto parece spoiler, pero es solo el inicio de la historia, no quiero explicar más porque entonces si podría arruinar alguna de las muchas sorpresas que tiene la novela, pues está llena de giros y vas descubriendo un montón de secretos y cosas, además tienes que poner atención a los detalles.
Mientras más conviven los protagonistas, más unidos se vuelven y por supuesto, Xie Lian empieza a desarrollar sentimientos por Hua Cheng lo que crea un sinfín de situaciones hilarantes, ya que nuestro protagonista practica un camino de cultivación que renuncia a los deseos mundanos y que demanda un absoluto celibato, está tan acostumbrado a las burlas y las situaciones incómodas, que no tiene problema en reírse de sí mismo o decir cosas auto humillantes para librarse rápido de alguna otra situación molesta, sin embargo, cuando se trata de Hua Cheng, es como una niña tímida, nerviosa y tartamudeante que se sonroja y avergüenza con una simple mirada.
Por otra parte, Hua Cheng es completamente desvergonzado y franco, por lo que no teme decirle a la gente a la cara lo poco que le importan o que le agradaría verlos muertos, por consiguiente, tampoco le preocupa si lo ven haciéndole ojitos a Xie Lian o tomando su mano, ni dudará en derribar a sus compañeros de viaje para construir con ellos un puente por el que su “Gege” pueda pasar seguro y sin dificultad. Desde el mismo comienzo de la historia se puede ver que nuestra Lluvia Carmesí Procurando la Flor, tiene un fuerte apego a Scrap Gege, su profundo amor no tarda en ser obvio para todos menos para el despistado de Xie Lian, pero poco a poco iremos descubriendo el pasado de nuestra pareja protagonista y comprendiendo mejor lo profundo de los sentimientos del Rey Fantasma más guapo y galante de todos los tiempos.
Ambos protagonistas han pasado por muchas cosas y poco a poco los otros dioses empezarán a verlos bajo una nueva luz y si como yo, amas leer un buen romance, entonces seguramente compartirás mi opinión de que cualquier persona en este mundo real sería la más afortunada si encontrara a alguien que le amara la mitad de lo que Hua Cheng quiere a Xie Lian.
Conclusión.
Lo mejor de esta historia, es que cada personaje tiene una personalidad tan bien definida, fundamentada y plasmada que te parecerán personas reales, incluso los dioses más prominentes, cometen errores y tienen reacciones tan humanas, que sin importar si es el enemigo o el aliado, te encantarán. Realmente pasan por personas comunes y verdaderas, es la mejor parte del libro. La historia es bonita, tiene acción, tragedia, risa y MUUUUUUUUUCHO ROMANCE. La he anexado a la lista de favoritos.
Y bueno, es todo por hoy, espero que realmente puedan leerla y me encantará leer sus opiniones al respecto, de igual forma, si tienen alguna serie, libro, animación o película de la que les gustaría hablar, háganmelo saber.

OC Interview: Fenris the Inquisitor
Thanks for the tag, @obvidalous! Loved your answers to this one XD
The rules: Answer the following questions as your OC of choice.
Since I won’t be delivering a chapter of Lovers In A Dangerous Time tonight (I’ve been slowwwww... 😭 ), have an interview with Fenris the Reluctant Inquisitor instead. Let’s pretend Josie has arranged for some kind of Orlesian gossipy journal to interview him for Publicity Reasons™.

1. What’s your name?
Fenris.
2. Do you know why you are named that?
Yes. [an awkward silence ensues]
3. Are you single or taken?
[Rynne Hawke’s voice calls out from the adjacent room: “He’s taken!”]
[Fenris rubs his mouth. Clearly hiding a smirk.]
Let’s move on.
4. Have any abilities or powers?
... Yes.
5. Stop being a Mary Sue.
I am unfamiliar with anyone by that name. [clearly suspicious of the interviewer]
6. What’s your eye color?
Green.
7. How about your hair color?
Why would you ask questions to which you clearly know the answers?
8. Have any family members?
[Fenris narrows his eyes at the interviewer. Very suspicious now.]
Hawke. And the mabari, Toby.
9. Oh? How about any pets?
Ah. I suppose this would be Toby. But... mabari are a breed of heightened intelligence. To call such a loyal companion a pet would be an insult.
10. That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like.
This interview, among other things. [mutters to himself] Why Josephine thought this would be a good idea...
11. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?
I enjoy reading. And playing cards.
12. Have you hurt anyone in any way before?
Yes.
13. Ever… killed anyone before?
Have I...? Look around you. Are you not living in the same cursed time as I? Perhaps your station in Val Royeaux has shielded you from the realities of this world. The demons, the red Templars– [he breaks off abruptly and looks away.]
Ask your next question.
14. What kind of animal are you?
I am no mindless beast, I promise you that.
15. Name your worst habits?
[pauses. Calls out to the adjacent room.] Hawke. What are my worst habits?
[Hawke replies: “Sometimes he doesn’t brush his teeth before he comes to bed.”]
[Fenris’s ears turn pink.]
That is a rare... I don’t... Let’s move on.
16. Do you look up to anyone at all?
Yes.
17. Are you gay, straight or bisexual?
[narrows his eyes] Remind me what kind of publication this is again?
18. Do you go to school?
No. I never... no.
19. Ever want to marry and have any kids one day?
[Fenris opens his mouth. He doesn’t speak for a few long seconds. His gaze darts toward the adjacent room, and his answer is quiet.]
If... if there is... time.
20. Do you have any fangirls/fanboys?
If Varric is to be believed... unfortunately, yes.
21. What are you most afraid of?
[A long, hard, unwavering stare. Fenris does not reply.]
22. What do you usually wear?
Armour. A cloak if it is cold. Clothes.
[Hawke calls out from the adjacent room again: “Too many clothes when he’s sleeping, if you ask me.”]
[Fenris runs a hand through his hair.] Kaffas, Hawke...
23. What one food tempts you?
Ah. I am partial to a particular type of fried fish that they used to sell in the Lowtown market. It was a dwarven delicacy, I believe. Adapted from Orzammar. I should ask Leliana if she can track down a recipe.
24. Am I annoying you?
Yes.
25. Well, it’s still not over!
[mutters] Vishante kaffas.
26. What class are you (low/middle/high)?
I was a... I am an elf from Tevinter. Now... now I am the leader of this Inquisition. Make of that what you will.
27. How many friends do you have?
[pause before answering.] More than I ever expected.
28. What are your thoughts on pie?
What? Why does that... [sighs] I enjoy it. Chocolate cream is my favourite.
29. Favourite drink?
Aggregio Pavali. It is a red wine from the Tevinter Imperium. It leaves a bitter aftertaste. Fitting for any Tevinter product of note.
30. What’s your favorite place?
I was very fond of the study in Hawke’s mansion in Kirkwall. And... [trails off, clears his throat.] Yes. The study.
31. Are you interested in anyone?
... You know that I am taken. Why would you ask this?
32. That was a stupid question…
[chuckles, much to the interviewer’s surprise.] Yes, it was. I am pleased you would admit that.
33. Would you rather swim in the lake or the ocean?
Either, I suppose. I do not particularly... Swimming is not a favoured pastime of mine.
34. What’s your type?
Type of what? [annoyed]
35. Any fetishes?
[narrows his eyes] You must be a writer from the Randy Dowager. That is the only reason I can imagine for such questions. [rises to his feet] Invent whatever titillating answers you see fit. I will give you no more.
36. Camping indoors or outdoors?
There is no such thing as ‘indoor camping’. Do not be ridiculous.

One Word Writing | 33. — hide
Themost Heba could ever remember hiding, for long periods of time, waswhen he was a child. If he wasn’t hiding from Amara’s wrath, theanger and hateful words she would spew at him for messingup again, he was hiding from thedoctors. It was like a never ending routine. He’d known he had donesomething wrong, been caught doing it,and head home for the inevitable rage that would be a long lecturewith cruel words because Heba should be gratefulto her for having her take care of him for so long despite her age.
If hemanged to get home before her there was a chance he could hide, achance he could put offgetting in trouble—and even though he knew hiding always made heranger worse he couldn’t bring himself to not try.The terror that clouded his heart was to great to ignore and even ifit was just for ten minutes whileshe searched for him that was ten minuteshe could prepare himself for the things that she should say, theharsh words screamed at him.
Eventuallyhe did learn there was no point in hiding, she would always find him,but when he learned that was when he started going to the doctorsfar to often. Hiding was in his instincts at that point, and thoughthe first few visits weren’t to badthe more they couldn’t figure out what was wrong, the worse hegot—the more painfulthe drugs got until he hatedgoing to the doctor. Fearedthe pain that was inevitable from whatever they wanted to try thattime.
Henever bothered hiding from Amara, she would always findhim, he waited until they got tothe hospital and she looked away to sign him in—and then he wasgone. She would look away for a second and he’d take off down thehallway searching for a place to hide. He’d crawled into the ceilingbefore, hid in cupboards, crawled inside the bathroom of patience’srooms who were unconscious. He even hid in the morgue once and gavehimself frost bitebecause of how long it took to find him.
Butthey always found him.
Always.
Andevery time they found him he’d scream,cling to whatever he could grab, cryand beg to just gohome. He’d throw a fit so bad that he’d grab whatever elsehe could reach and use it as a weapon. The worse was when he grabbeda fork from a patience tray and stabbed aninnocent nurse in the arm with it.
Theydecided after that to sedate himeach time he had to come in. Amara was given these pills to give himto make him tired andhe’d only gain consciousness after they had already injected whateverdrug they wanted intohim for the day.
Whateverhorrifying drug he’d wake up to that set the inside of his body onfire.
Theyhad said it was an accident,an unexpected side effectof the trail drug. Heba was just a Guinea Pigfor whatever painful experimental drug they were inventing and Amaralet him be one. She said shewanted to help.
Wellwhy did the help have to hurt.
Haveto be terrifying.
Hewanted to be like every other little kid,play outside with the neighbors and wander around in the sandbuilding sand castles.But he couldn’t even do that. If he wasn’t hiding from whateverterrifying thing hehad to go through he was kept inside because he wasn’tright. What was right? What waswrong?
He wasa child.
He hadhopes and dreams.

The Harsh Light of Day
“Spider-Man appears in the third issue.” That’s how you launch a new comic book in an established universe, and that appears to be how you launch a spinoff as well. Here we are, three episodes into Buffy’s first season and having seen two episodes of Angel, and we’re getting our first crossover. Part One is happening on Buffy; to see the conclusion, you needed to stay tuned into The WB for another hour to catch it on Angel. Let’s go! 1. We’re back at the Bronze, watching a Dingoes Ate My Baby concert. Parker is there too, and Buffy is watching Parker in the mirror. She couldn’t do that with the last guy she was interested in. 2. Willow just pointed that out. 3. The show just jumped into sex negativity again (“Buffy’s having lusty-wrong feelings!”), then jumped back out. Good on it; that’s a step in the right direction. 4. Parker is walking Buffy back to her dorm. 5. Dingoes Ate My Baby will be playing in LA. 6. Huh. It’s Harmony. She’s talking about the big snake, and didn’t go to France. She didn’t know about the museums. And she’s a vampire, and biting Willow. 7. Do vampires have to learn to bite people effectively, or do they just know it instinctively? They seem to get martial arts skills just by being turned. 8. Now Oz and Willow are fighting. And Harmony has a boyfriend, who’s going to be mad that Oz and Willow were mean to her. 9. Parker and Buffy are talking about themselves. Buffy does stuff. Parker doesn’t do stuff. Buffy has a scar from Angel biting her to cure the poison Faith gave him last season. She’s about to lie about it, but that’s a good idea. 10. “Angry puppy.” “So, do I get to see any of your scars?” “Mine are all psychological.” “Oh, please, those are the best kind.” 11. “Don’t you just hate guys who are all dark and brooding so give me love?” 12. He’s being dark broody give me love guy. She’s telling him about that one time she died, and leaving out passing on a mystical legacy. 13. Buffy and Parker are going to the party at Wolf House tomorrow night. 14. Xander and Giles are shelving books. Anya dropped by.She wants to talk to Xander. I don’t understand why. 15. Anya wants to go out with Xander. I don’t understand that either. 16. “This is it. My door. Wood. Maybe some kind of wood veneer.” 17. Harmony is the angry puppy. Willow needs a band-aid. 18. “Harmony’s a vampire? She must be dying without a reflection.” 19. “Guy dating Harmony dead. Must be like the most tolerant guy in the world.” Cue Spike. 20. Spike has a drilling machine, and a bunch of vampires helping him tunnel. They’re trying to get into a crypt. Harmony wants him to kill Willow, but he doesn’t want Buffy to know he’s here. 21. Spike and Harmony are going to a party. He’s totally going to land at Wolf House, isn’t he? 22. Spike is threatening Parker, and managed to escape. 23. Drusilla left Spike for a fungus demon. 24. And now Buffy knows Spike is looking for the Gem of Amara. Thanks, Harmony! 25. Xander is hanging up a disco ball and talking to Anya. He’s giving her some cran-apple. And she’s naked. 26. Giles says the Gem of Amara isn’t real. It’s the Vampire Holy Grail. 27. Spike says Harmony can make Antonio Banderas, but he just wants to get rid of her. But she seduced him instead. 28. “Sexual intercourse is about… expressing something. And accepting consequences.” “Oh, I have condoms. Some are black.” 29. “Fabric softener.” 30. Buffy finds the idea of her having dated Spike hilarious. 31. All the parties in this show have live bands. It’s neat, but it’s also absurd. 32. Now Buffy and Parker are kissing. 33. And having sex. 34. Giles found something. Buffy is too busy having sex to answer the phone. 35. Parker vanished from Buffy’s bed. But he was getting coffee. Better than misplacing his soul. 36. ander and Anya are getting dressed. Anya: “So, um, I’m over you now.” Xander: “Okay.” Anya: “Okay?!” And she storms out. 37. Harmony was drawing on Spike’s back. 38. “I’m an adult and it’s none of your business where I was.” “I’m sincerely relieved to hear it.” I love Giles. 39. The last time Buffy did the post-sex moment, Willow, people died. I don’t think Buffy loves this part. Though she might after a few good experiences. 40. “The gem is everything. I came back to Sunnydale for it, a place which has witnessed some truly spectacular kickings of my ass.” 41. Parker hasn’t called. It’s night. Buffy is still looking for Spike. 42. Well, the thing Spike thought was the Gem wasn’t. But Harmony found the Gem, then threw it at Spike in a fit of rage. She had invincibility for a few moments. 43. Giles has a crappy TV. 44. “Watching television isn’t going to help us right now.” Watching television immediately helps. 45. Parker is hitting on a girl on a bench talking about his dead father. And Parker is an absolute bastard. Total and complete. And is pretty deliberately beating on Buffy’s sense of self-worth. 46. Well, that was painful to watch. 47. And here’s Spike out at noon, to fight Buffy. She’s having a hell of a day. He’s very invincible. 48. Seeing Spike put his game face on at midday is weird. 49. The Gem doesn’t seem to make Spike stronger or quicker. Just invincible. That seems to be enough, when you put in standard vampiric invulnerability. 50. Spike is, in fact, a pig. But has read the situation well. He’s saying it in the most douchebag way possible. 51. Buffy got the Gem off of Spike, but Spike got away. Jumped in a hole. 52. Buffy’s having Oz take the Gem to Angel. 53. “Does this always happen? You sleep with a guy, he goes all evil?” Not always - not Oz - but you do live in a world written in a fairly sex-negative way. Parker is, in fact, a poophead. 54. “I’m your friend. I would call you repulsive in a second.” 55. Sad Buffy, Anya, and Harmony, to close the episode out. Overall: The two biggest problems with Buffy so far are its tendency to fail to land moral points and its sex negativity. This episode leapt head-first into that second problem, which is quite the shame because the core plotline about Spike and the Gem was really, really good. I loved Spike digging and Giles dismissing the Gem as a fiction then following up and learning it wasn’t. I loved the daylight fight and the change in dynamics for how combat in this show usually works. I loved bringing Harmony back, and the way she seduced Spike. But the lesson of the episode became, “Don’t screw or you’ll end up hurt,” and that’s a shitty lesson. Still probably more good than bad here.
