one of these days im going to write about one of my httyd ocs (who will probably never be in my fics, just my head and posts) whose married to dagur but fled beserker island after he was imprisoned (because there was a plot against her life by other beserkers who wanted power - and she's neither a fighter nor a beserker, so they wanted her out)

and then he goes to find her after his redemption arc. and its very shocking to her because he's so different yet so similar. they did fall in love when they were married, though they didn't choose each other, and dagur was...well...dagur, so the marriage was very turbulent.

im very into a certain scene between them that i replay in my head every once in a while in which dagur is trying to convince her to come back to beserker island with him (along with their young son, who was conceived just before dagur was imprisoned) and while she does genuinely want to reunite with him (especially now that he's a noticeably better person) a lot of her motivation is just based in understanding that if she doesn't go back, her son's life might be at risk if dagur has heirs with anyone else and their supporters see their son as a threat.

and dagur gets all sad and says something like "i don't want you to come with me because you're afraid - I want you to come with me because you love me" and he's extremely sad puppy about it and rests his head on her shoulder aghhh

also a scene where dagur meets his son for the first time (and his kid is like...3...4? timelines?? ehh??) and his kid is kinda scared of him because he's big and loud. and his wife tells him not to worry because his son is always shy around new people (because he's a toddler) but dagur takes it very hard and tries to be as gentle as possible around his son until he feels more comfortable and playful with his dad

and then once his kid opens up to him he's tossing him up in the air and chasing him around

hiccup and heather come along to help dagur find her and are both extremely shocked that he was married and never told either of them - he didn't because he didn't know whether or not she was alive and didn't know how to talk about it until he worked up the courage to go look for her

and after becoming aware of the sort of person he used to be, he also didnt know if she would want to see him again

and she kind of didn't want to at first because she assumed he was either there to take her to beserker island against her will or that he was going to be angry with her for leaving. so she kind of brandished knife at him the first time she saw him again

its complicated ok

uhh also this oc doesnt really have a set name, idk what to call her

may or may not be because she's kind of a self insert oc (aka the woman in my profile pic)

A wandering shapeshifter relentlessly pursuing a figure from her past. Cold-hearted and wary, Amani has a habit of quieting rooms full of people through sheer presence alone. She is a capable fighter, conjuring various weapons of ice to meet her needs. Her alternate form is that of a red-eyed chinchilla. Nimble and discreet, Amani likes gathering information about her target in this shape. Despite others' recommendations, she doesn't like using her chinchilla charm to disarm others with displays of cuteness.

hello to everyone !! i have some sketches of my ocs for their honkai star rail au, in a mostly splash-art-pose-with-label kind of presentation. i started this on a whim, but suddenly it snowballed into two ocs already (that's half of my main little group)! we have monty and amani here with their aforementioned little blurbs. both of these characters are ocs i translated from their previous setting into the world of hsr, and i'm really happy with their core concepts! i also pair them together a lot because they have a lot of contrasts between each other that i enjoy seeing side by side. i struggled with monty's design a lot in the past because he had a very classical-fantasy outfit from his original setting that i couldn't really translate over. it took a few attempts for me to give him a vague coat-ish outer layer with long-trailing tassels (to generally match asta). i think his cute little hat helped pull everything together!! amani's outfit came a lot more easily (though you can only see the back view here). i've always enjoyed giving her the high-waisted shorts (NOT vacuum-sealed to her body), thigh-high boots, and a cropped jacket. her boot designs also ended up being really fun, with the slight cutout behind her legs for more shape-y-ness. i have 2 more characters i hope to draw alongside monty and amani, so will see if i can get to them and have them all together as a little group !!

scenes in my head ive been thinking about recently:

my (still nameless) oc who is married to dagur constantly trying to stop him from putting his foot in his mouth or just straight up threatening people during council meetings or diplomacy trips

meanwhile her strategy is to dress people down with insults that are so subtle, the recipient often cant tell if theyre being insulted or complimented -- but they feel compelled to graciously agree to avoid seeming rude and/or stupid

every time she does this, dagur finds it extremely hot -- except if she does it to him, in which case he thinks its very mean >:(

I was thinking about how I was going to intro this character, Alika (a terrorist who fights against the elitist government), and I had an amazing idea

Glossary:

Hight: The rich and the capitalist, technically. They often use long well-cared hair, jelwery and expensive clothes.

Citizen: Middle-class. They are brainwashed with propaganda from birth in order to obey and serve the Hight. In order to difer from the Hights, they tend to use short hair and cheaper clothing by default. Some of them have african-locks or hairstyles that are easy to make look short.

The avenue they're in: the Blue Avenue, a residencial area for rich people (Hights) where MC lives near to. It has this name because most houses there were built blue, thanks to some crazy architetorial project

Pariah: An extra social class. The exiled people - most of them are revolutionaries against the Hight Governement but not all.

The girl looked over at her, hot breath against cold air. "And who are you?" "I'm Amani." She looked a little bit amazed. Amani, on the other hand, was sure she looked confused. She could not from where the girl had came from. She had short spikey hair, but the clothes were hight-quality. And she had weird earrings. But Amani wasn't sure if she was a Hight; she was being to polite. Besides: "Are you a Hight?", the girl asked curious. Amani raised an eyebrow. No way the girl was one, or else she would have knew what she was. Amani tried not to sight. She wouldn't lie. Even if she wanted to. Lying about her identity could be severely punished, and she was no fool: that avenue was often watched over. "No", she answered to the girl. "I'm a Citizen. See?" She lowered the hood, gesturing to her short braided locks. "If I wasn't, my clothes wouldn't be this cheap, my hair wouldn't be that short and I'd have earrings. Like yours", she pointed out. "I'm no Hight." The girl then smirked, amused. "Oh, really? Good to know. Well, pleased to meet you, non-Hight. I'm a Pariah, my pronouns are they/them and I'm capturing you now."
