If I had a nickel for every time I started an anime for cute sapphic moments only to turn tail and run because of a shotacon subplot, I’d only have two nickels, but it’s weird incredibly fucked up that it’s happened twice

i've been so inactive lately because i just started my spring semester in college and it's been a lot so oops!! but anyway i really liked this. i've been meaning to watch it for a while now because i love aria they have the same creator, and i'm glad i did. it's just really cute and light-hearted and sweet and pleasant. i'll probably read the manga soon. i love amano so much.
Honestly? I miss diving! So I just like... revisited Amanchu tonight, just for a bit. As a treat. And like yeah cute anime etc etc, but it just reminded me how much I loved SCUBA Diving!
I'm not in a place I can do that that much any more, but the times I went were amazing! If you can y'all ,get certified and take a few dives. It's fun, relaxing, and like... wild.
I remember my first dive in the ocean off... Fort Lauderdale I believe. We went on a boat with the class and were instructed to just plop right on in. I'm diving through the waters, swimming with the group. I saw several sea turtles, bat fish, and so much more!
I've been snorkeling plenty, but being down at the floor, gently gliding with the life around you, it was so different.
The thing I remember the most was the surface of the water. I was down 30 feet underneath the surface, but the surface shone like it was just above my head. Light rippled down and I felt like I could reach up and grab the surface of the water to pull myself into the air.
It was beautiful and I don't think I can ever express how amazing it was. I'll never forget it.
I dove a few times before moving from SoFlo. Went lobstering during mini season and went on another boat dive. I'd love to do it again one day. Worth every dollar.
Still don't like the beach much... but love the ocean. LOL
